Haken Continuum / EaganMatrix: Continuum + Bitbox + EaganMatrix Module = "Aleatoric Music 1010"

video upload by EaganMatrix Programming

"Here's a fun combination to create a simple Aleatoric Performance that will be different every time you create it. I sampled 16 different Haken Continuum preset performances of different lengths into a 1010 Music bitbox, some of which are custom built on random elements (like the drone that runs throughout in slot 1). Then I randomly triggered them starting with the drone that sets the overall time of the piece (ca. 4 minutes). The output of the Bitbox is sent into an EaganMatrix module for Master Section reverb processing (Modulated Delay) and also dynamic stereo tapped delay processing that uses an oscillating tap percentage on each channel at two different rates and amounts to create a shimmering pitch shifting effect on the output. Everything is Haken Continuum manipulated sounds. Of course, I could sample in a totally different set of things next time and create this kind of music easily all day long."

"Thanks for watching!
Got some new modules recently, including the 1010 music Bitbox Micro, so I decided to test its functions a bit. Here is a little lullaby-vibe-like tune.

Miso Cornflakes | Granular Synth Engine with Harmonizer vs. Arbhar & Morphagene

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"I love granular synthesis and I felt I had enough modules and hardware to scratch every granular itch. Miso (Denmark) introduced the Cornflakes a year ago, but I did not feel it would add something to my Arbhar, Nebulae, Morphagene, Clouds, Beads, BitBox and the mighty GR-1 from Tasty Chips. Not to mention the awesome PC software... I was so wrong. This little gem is worth checking out, especially if you're thinking about your first granular module."

SPRAYCANS [ MODULAR BOOMBAP ]

video upload by leonardoworx

"This is another tune from my album 'Uncommon' live recorded with my modular system.
The mood is really lofi Hip Hop.

Quick patchnotes:

As i did in previous jams with this system, i played a lot with the MODBAP Per4mer, MI Beads via the Intellijel Planar2 and Tetrapad.
The Five12 Vector is always the brain that sequences the Castor&Pollux, BitBox Micro and Squarp Rample. While various random modulations are provided by the Pam's and Ornament & Crime."

Catharina | Modular World 25 Live performance

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"I made this performance for Modular World ep. 25 which premiered on March 13th. There's a strong ghost story in my home town of The Hague. Catharina le Chasseur (the hunter) was sentenced to death by drowning in 1541 because of counterfeit crimes. After her death, reports came in of ghost sightings on her home grounds. This video is performed and filmed on location. It's a seance and a tribute. And it turned out to be a really cool patch using Soma Enner, Mimeophon, Desmodus, Melotus, Toolbox, Bitbox and Nebulae. Nebulae is running Realms 0.2, a custom instrument coded by Ian Hoogeboom (studio48nl). Also special thanks to Marieke McKenna who helped me produce this video and lending me her hands for some video inserts (shot a few days later)."

New Nanobox Mini Synths Coming from 1010Music

video upload by 1010music

Looks like the price will be $399 for each. Note the Line In for each for processing external gear. Curious if sampling will come to the lemondrop.

#Jamuary2022 | Day 15 | 23:56:04

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"Today is about two things: 1) how can use and sync very long samples (e.g. a stem) to a clock in BitBox and 2) what's a day anyway. In the very long sample, Mike Degrasse Tyson explains how long a 24 hour day really is."

first ambient patch with bitbox micro and poly hector to fall asleep to

video upload by Red Means Recording Ambient

"the bitbox micro is a superpowered little sampler for eurorack, and the poly hector is a collection of all sorts of modules in a virtual environment. here i take the bitbox for it's first run using morphagene reels in granular mode. sequencing is done by hector using the mi marbles port, all sounds from bitbox."

Healing Solfeggio Frequencies with Mordax Data & BitBox

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"Just looking at the number of plays a typical Healing Frequency video gets, I'd say they're in high demand and highly appreciated. So in this video I wanted to share some tips and tools so you can make your own scales and tunings, and maybe turn your modular into a spa/wellness center to make people feel good. And I have to admit, fooling around with these Solfeggio frequencies has been super relaxing! But I bet it's more about working with a modular system!

Island Patch in the Sun - Caribbean-Sounding Eurorack Synthesizer patch featuring the Telharmonic

video upload by ElectricHartStrings

"A little bit of the Islands from my current Eurorack setup, filmed while on vacation this past July.

This video features the Telharmonic using all three outputs, with pitch comming from the Turing Machine quantized by O&C, and gates from Rene. Drums are a combination of BitBox samples sequenced from the Euclidean module and additional sounds from Plonk which is sequenced from Muxlicer. Master clocks from Pamela’s, and reverb from the Z-DSP. The Telharmonic’s Flux input is modulated by an offset slow S&H from my Teensy-based LFO module. Audio directly into and video from Zoom Q8 video camera.

Well, it has been a long dry spell! I’m finally doing some exploring and recording again (too much work, no time to play), and this is one from during my vacation in July. My system as seen in this video has kind of reached a stable point with my getting a Telharmonic (had to get one before they were gone, I got Sweetwater’s last one), a Blinds, Muxlicer, Plonk, Z-DSP, A-106-5 SEM filter and a few utilities. I also finally got a Matriarch, which I’ll feature in another video soon."

Sequoia - Modular Synthesizer performance in Sequoia National Park

video by Johno Wells

"This ambient / experimental eurorack modular synth improvisation first aired on ModulateTV (Wales, U.K.) 1st anniversary show on April 18.
This track is featured on [RE]MOTION, a collection of remote eurorack modular performances shot in early 2021. It can be found here:
https://johnowells.bandcamp.com/album...

Approach:
Working with no master sequencer is a blast. I am able to listen to where the sound takes me, and not worry about or over analyze where it goes. This open approach might sound scary to those who rely on pre-composed sequences and patterns, but I've found it's a lot easier for me to create like this. When I was forcing myself to create sequences in a master sequencer it just wasn't as fun, and definitely wasn't as pure and genuine of an expression (for me). We all work so differently in modular, and in my practice, this is currently (key word here) the way that's working. Stay tuned to see the journey change...I'm open to where it takes me. Thanks for watching!
_____________________________
Happy accident:
Near the end of the performance, I accidentally pulled the jack out of the input of Arbhar which I was live-sampling into and it made this glorious reverb...reminding me of the live-mic that is on the Arbhar panel. Hm....maybe I should whistle into it? Or...sing into it? See above: "listen to where the sound takes me".

Basilimus, Manis, Loquelic, and Desmodus - Modular Jam with EZBOT

video by Patchwerks Seattle

"In this video resident expert Matthew Piecora (aka EZBOT) performs on his modular system with the Basilimus Iteritas Alter, Manis Iteritas, Loquelic Iteritas, and Desmodus Versio by Noise Engineering. Noise Engineering creates wonderfully versatile digital modules with a multitude of modulation inputs - allowing you to make seemingly unlimited sounds with their modules. Most of the drums were provided by the 1010 Bitbox Micro - an 8 channel sampler module with multisampling and live looping capabilities.
