"Modular synth improvised Techno jam with Intellijel 84hp Performance case with Roland TR-09 drum machine. Totally improvised, recorded in a single unedited take. This wasn't planned, I was eager to hear what this new rack configuration sounded like late one night as I'm preparing to perform at Awakenings in Amsterdam for Awesome Soundwave at ADE this October! Might get a little crunchy at times 😁

"The MSW-810 is a faithful recreation of the CMU-810 Monosynth which was designed as a synth expander for the 1983 CMU-800 computer music production system. At its core however, is the tone generator of the MC-202. In this clip the MSW 810 is producing all the sounds you hear including the drums. Available currently as a kit and will be available fully assembled in the fall of 2022."

The Wavparty SY0.5 Syncussion sample pack features analog drum and synth sounds from the Michigan Synth Works SY0.5, a modern Eurorack clone of the Pearl Syncussion drum synth from the 70s. The Syncussion became a cult hit with electronic producers thanks to its wide sonic palette and ability to create sonic weirdness. Used prices skyrocketed in 2014 when the Syro gear list revealed that Aphex Twin has 4 of them racked up.

This pack includes some clean sounds and some sounds that have been heavily processed with other Eurorack gear. The pack features 265 one shot sounds, 52 drum loops and an Ableton pack with 12 sample-based instruments."

""Chronovore is a CV/Gate Sequencer based on the TB-303. The circuit was faithfully recreated with modern components in a small form factor suitable for eurorack. The device includes the Pixie u650 CPU which runs an emulation of the original 303 mask ROM for a genuine 303 experience. Michigan Synth Works SY0.5 - Pearl Syncussion Clone in Eurorack

"**TIMING INDEX / SECTIONS BELOW** Here's the new Michigan Synth Works faithful recreation of the classic synth percussion unit the Syncussion from Pearl. Modern equivalents of all the original components are still available so this is very close to the original. Lots of drum sounds on board, I've had some great punchy kicks, longer tom like tones, alien FM cowbell action. To me the unit feels like one big sweet spot, hard to make a bad sound on which can be as rare thing.

Mr Oberheim is the progenitor of the American polyphonic analogue synthesiser and designer of electronic music devices ranging from the Maestro Phase Shifter to the Oberheim DX drum machine. If you have listened to the radio in the past 40 years, it is impossible for you not to have heard sounds he had a hand in.

Tom will be speaking at the annual Knobcon Banquet as well as taking part in a live question-and-answer session hosted by Knobcon organiser Suit & Tie Guy.

Knobcon is a one-of-a-kind synthesizer convention now in it's sixth year. Complete with live music, workshops exhibitors and vendors, Knobcon allows for a fully immersive experience. Held just outside Chicago IL at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, the entire event takes place under one roof. If you are interested in electronic-based or experimental music and the tools used to create it, Knobcon is the place for you. The diversity and passion of the Knobcon experience make it enjoyable for all experience levels.

Admission for all 3 days is $50 at the door, $40 online during the month of August.
