This is like a cheap Waldorf. The best CHEAPEST Waldorf money can buy...........see what I bolded there...I really REALLY like the sound of the Sledge, I’d say this is a real hidden gem, truly a joy to play, not the best build, for under $1000, yeah I’d go with the Sledge over a bunch of other newer VAs.

Studiologic Sledge on top. It took me a second to ID the bottom. See if you can. Tip: what looks kind of like a knob the right isn't. Not sure what it is, but everything else matches up. Highlight the following for the synth: GEM Promega 2.

"Tat Tvam Asi is an Analog Modular Improvisation. Main instrument is the Doepfer A-100 system (with 241 patch cords in use). Additionally, the Arturia B3V is used, as well as the Arturia CS 80V, the Arturia DX7V and some additional Drums by Toontrack. Master Keyboards by Native Instruments, Studiologic, Doepfer and Arturia. Recording and mixdown with Ableton Live 10 and Push. The video was taken with Canon and Panasonic cameras, processed with Adobe Premiere Pro. Development of the patch started in August 2019, recording session - all tracks in one single take - in November 2019, mixdown and postprocessing from November to December 2019.

"I looked at the Sledge a number of times, ever since it first came out and nearly went for it, however there was always something else. I recently managed to get a Black version and started to make some Patches, not with any real intention of doing a Bank of Patches, but just for a bit of fun.

While I've designed Sounds for more complex Synths, this has been a great experience making Patches on it. The scale and layout is what does it, so fast to make sounds on.

I initially made 100 Patches, however I then found out, that I could address some 'hidden' Filters, so I made 20 more and went over some of the others I already made.

So, here's the first 30...well, 31, I couldn't count!

Mostly use the Wavetables and FM, I did try with some Samples but couldn't get them to Loop, so decided to just make it easier and more compatible."

STUDIOLOGIC SLEDGE 2.0 KNOB UPDATE

"here is my SLEDGE 2.0 with totally new poti knobs.
i changed the original plastic knobs with the moog style knobs out of phenol, the results are amazing!
the sledge feels and looks so much better now with the phenol poti knobs.
the knobs were ordered from a online electronic store.
the axle shaft diameter fits perfect in the knobs which have all 6,4mm inner diameter. the knobs are secured with there screw.
finally i recommend this update for every SLEDGE user.
It´s easy to do and feels and looks so great!"
