How to create pre-filter stereo patches on the modular – Zagrzeb - Xaoc devices

video upload by Monotrail Tech Talk

"Zagrzeb from Xaoc devices is a great, compact and smooth stereo filter. That makes it perfect to deal with complex stereo signals. But how to make these? In this video I go over the functions and features of Zagrzeb, but also share lot’s of ideas for pre-filter stereo patches. Both with basic synth-ingredients, as well as a couple of dedicated stereo modules.

Xaoc Devices ERFURT / not just for counting and dividing / extensive playthrough

video upload by BRiES

"In this video I demonstrate how you can use ERFURT either standalone or in the context of the Leibniz Binary Subsystem. I talk about the clock, the inputs and outputs and show you how to extract useful signals from the module. ERFURT isn't just an ordinary counter or clock divider: it can drive the wavetables in JENA, produce sequences through DREZNO or lock the Leibniz system to the masterclock of your patch... to name just a few examples.

PS: I mention somewhere that the slowest clock is a 1/46k but it should be 1/64k. It's a simple mispronunciation because of how numbers work in the dutch language (we say the last number first - ridiculous I know).

1 Minute EDM Track? ;-)

video upload by John L Rice

"I was mainly just experimenting with my new Klavis Quadigy (quad programmable envelope generator) in my eurorack modular briefcase and this eventually grew out of it. It’s really just a 4 step sequence from a Xaoc Devices Tirana but heavily processed to turn it into four voices with some variety using a Doepfer A-149-4, Synth Tech E102, and Strymon Magneto, etc. Drums are from my new Squarp Instruments Rample module along with helper modules Rebel Technology Stoicheia and Ladin Derivator. Master clock is the Erica Synths Black VC Clock v2 and divider is the 2hp Div."

8-bit signal processing for eurorack - Drezno & Lipsk / Leibniz subsystem / Xaoc devices

video upload by Monotrail Tech Talk

"The Leibniz subsystem from Xaoc devices is a line-up of modules that work with 8-bit conversion. It’s a unique concept that allows for a lot of interesting signal manipulation and generation. In this video I explain what 8 bit is, and how it’s implemented in this line-up, using Drezno and Lipsk. Of course, there are multiple chapters with patch ideas and audio demos as well.

Introduction to the Transcendent Waveform Analog Oscillator - Sofia - Xaoc Devices

video upload by Monotrail Tech Talk

"Analog oscillator Sofia from Xaoc devices was one of the modules that caught my eye during Superbooth 22. Over the last month I have been able to mess around with it and explore its sounds! In this video I explain what ripple elements are. Give an overview of the front panel with its functions and features. And then I dive into a series of patch ideas. The chapter ‘Basic patches’ has mostly simple patches with raw audio demos. And ‘Advanced patches’ has a few examples of more complex ideas with effects in a musical setting."

Xaoc Devices LEIBNIZ #4 / POCZDAM / switching & routing / extensive playthrough

video upload by BRiES

"POCZDAM is a routing and switching utility module for the LEIBNIZ BINARY SUBSYSTEM. It hosts a lot of inputs and outputs that you can use to extract bits (gates) from the selected source or to send your own signals in to route somewhere else in your patch. POCZDAM also features a built-in clock that you manually need to connect for it to have any influence on the system.

POCZDAM is really intuitive to work with but everything really much depends on remembering what you connected to which Leibniz inputs and outputs of Poczdam. While preparing for the video there were a few of times where I was profoundly confused just because I forgot the order in which I chained the modules. As a result of this, I thought a lot about how to concisively demonstrate the functionality of the module, which is not as straightforward as it might seem because you need to know the order of every part of the chain to be able to make sense of it. I decided to just follow the patch examples that are described in the manual, as a safe-guard to make sure there's no confusion which module is routed how and what the expected result of the patches is.

On the support pages there's several downloads to other Leibniz documents (check the gallery on ko-fi / I'm still updating the patreon page), most of these are available for everyone. Supporters get access to exclusive videos (patch examples and breakdowns). Some videos get posted on the support pages earlier as well.

Xaoc Devices Timiszoara Eurorack DSP w/ The Patch Pals !

video upload by Perfect Circuit

"Read our IN-DEPTH article : https://bit.ly/3RRzE1z

With their long awaited entry into the effects world, Timiszoara brings the XAOC Devices flavor of DSP to your Eurorack system, containing no less than 176 effect algorithms for delays, reverbs, and more. Based on the ubiquitous Spin FV-1, Timiszoara provides fully stereo input and output and voltage control over three parameters per algorithm, as well as the dry/wet mix. But where things get exciting is through the Scan and Next inputs, which allow different algorithms to be recalled either with continuous voltages or stepped through sequentially with gate and trigger signals. Additionally, thanks to microSD slot on the front, Timiszoara is continually malleable and supports the loading of additional effects, whether its a cool algorithm found online or your own personal code. Transform time and space in your modular rig with Timiszoara."

Weston Precision Audio - B2 Kick/Bass Voice & XAOC Devices - Koszalin

video upload by SchneidersLaden

"In this video we listen to two quite interesting modules, both in combination and separately. This is not a video manual or tutorial, just some sounds and patches with these two modules.

The Xaoc Devices Koszalin is a digital stereo frequency shifter with linear thru-0 and exponential FM - Xaoc Devices have once again managed to build a module on a digital basis, which delivers an incredibly precise and high-quality sound. Even if we push it to the limits more often in this video, the sonic quality shows in almost every situation.

The Weston Precision Audio B2 Kick/Bass Voice module describes itself virtually by its name. It features an oscillator, envelope, filter and VCA - in other words, everything you need for a monophonic, subtractive synthesizer - only here everything is designed to create kicks and bass. The versatile oscillator with waveshaper, the great sounding filter and the well thought-out user interface make working with the module a great delight."

Further Explorations // Verbos Scan & Pan + XAOC Devices Timiszoara, Odessa, Batumi and Zadar

video upload by Genshi Media Group

"::| TO HEAR THE FULL RANGE OF FREQUENCIES AND STEREO EFFECTS, A GOOD PAIR OF HEADPHONES IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED |::

Further explorations with the Verbos Electronics Scan & Pan mixer and the XAOC Devices Timiszoara, Odessa, Batumi, and Zadar. The Scan & Pan is turning out to be a pretty amazing module as it Scans through the three channels featuring the Odessa's Odd, Even, and Fundamental outputs (and Pans channel three which is Odessa's Fundamental.) Couple that with the Timiszoara for effects and the modulation on the Odessa, makes for some really interesting sound!. Sequencing provided by the Intellijel Metropolix. Modulation from Batumi and Zadar which is also providing the Envelopes for Channel 1 and 2 of the Verbos."

First Encounter // XAOC Devices Odessa + Zadar

video upload by Genshi Media Group

"This is my first exploration with the XAOC Devices Odessa Harmonic Oscillator and Zadar Quad Envelope Generator, minutes after unboxing. This is edited down from an hour-long session so as not to completely bore everyone as I fumbled my way through these fairly deep modules. Hopefully, you will find moments of interesting alien sci-fi soundscapes within... additional modulation from Xaoc Batumi. Reverb and Delay effects via Mutable Instruments Beads."

Leibniz Subsystem quick jam

video upload by Xaoc Devices

"Our humble hommage to Vangelis. The first improvised patch in our headquarters after we've come back from Superbooth 22 and put our monolith system back together. Based on a sizable Leibniz Subsystem with two Poczdam modules switching between two sequences and two audio processing paths, including feedback with Odessa controlling the distribution of its own harmonic banks via Leibniz."

Xaoc Sofia quick jam

video upload by Xaoc Devices

"We are back in Warsaw after Superbooth 22. It was great to meet all of you in our booth! Thanks for visiting us! Here is spontaneously recorded demo of our new analog oscillator for all who could not come and are curious about the sound palette, and those who were there and just want to hear it again!

Patch is really simple, just Sofia without filters with some reverb and sequenced with Moskwa. Ratios of two ripple elements responsible for shaping are modulated with sine from Batumi and complex envelope from Zadar. Latter in the video there is also a bit of self-patching."
