MS-20 One Synth Challenge
video upload by Cyberspace O'Blivion
"I figured that it'd be worth demonstrating what this synth can do as the sole sound generator for a track for that video, hence this video where I use the MS-20 mini for the one synth challenge
There's a couple of sounds where I brought the K2 in as well, the behringer version of the MS-20, and hard panned each synth across from each other for a binaural type effect. By using both synths directly with each other it became quite evident that the K2 isn't able to pull as much sonic weight as the MS-20 Mini. It's good, and is very nearly identical, but the filter especially is just that little bit lacking. But within a whole mix and the way I've used it here, the difference is negligible
The drums where the hardest part to get right with this. I'm not sure if it's a limitation of the MS-20 itself or a failure on my part to find the most optimal percussive sounds. The kick especially I'm not super thrilled about, but the rest of the elements serve their purpose. I've done my best with mixing to bring the most out of all of the sounds, but there's some elements that I think would've been better served by a different sound source, mostly the kick. Overall, this is a solid synth, and as a primary sound source has a lot of scope, but I'd pair it with at least a drum machine of some sort
I really enjoyed working with the limitations of one synth for a track. I might do this again sometime with a different synth, probably the MicroBrute. Truth be told, all of our albums are basically one synth challenges with the MatrixBrute as it's pretty much the only synth we use to record our albums. The other synths we have do show up occasionally, and drums are dealt with independently, mostly with samples from drum machines or the occasional acoustic drum-kit."

Crazy Vincent SELLS 100 synths & keeps 26! EP1 = intro, synth list, and new studio space.
video upload by Vincent Presley
"After 2 years of crazy synth buying, Vincent has the new Secret Records studio down to a mere 26 synthesizers that he claims are better than the rest.....
Before you watch, maybe you can make your own list of what you would have kept or make some guesses about what Crazy Vincent kept. Remember..... he's not like other people.

Elektron Octatrack & Arturia Microbrute Jam
video upload by Easy Tiger
"I am jamming with the Octatrack and the Microbute. I think they make an excellent pair. The Microbrute is very simple but has nice analogue sound with lots of character. The OT on the other hand can get pretty complex, has loads of FX and the cool LFO's. So they complement each other in a very good way.
The Microbrute was the sound source for everything you hear in this one."

Arturia Microbrute & Synthstrom Deluge
video upload by Easy Tiger
"Just having fun improvising on the microbrute over a simple chord progression played by the deluge. Delay and reverb for the microbrute is also coming from the deluge.
The microbrute is special to me because it was the first synth I owned. Even though I don't use it as much anymore I still love it for its hands-on control and I think it sounds fantastic!"

Synth Jam :: Pro 3 & Hydrasynth as Ableton External Instruments
video upload by experimentalsynth
"I used two instances of Ableton's "External Instrument" module to bring the Sequential Pro 3 and ASM Hydrasynth audio into Ableton for processing. Effects used included Arturia's Efx Fragments and Rev INTENSITY, Valhalla's SuperMassive, and some miscellaneous Ableton and Max4Live effects.
The Pro 3 is using its own sequencer synced to Ableton's clock. The Hydrasynth is sequenced by Max4Live Mono Sequencer.
The Korg NanoKey (to the left of the Hydrasynth) and the Arturia MicroBrute are playing instances of Arturia's Pigments, and the knobs on the NanoKey are controlling the effects on the Pro 3 and Hydrasynth. This is a short excerpt of a 20 min piece coming soon." [below]

Analog Fume
video upload by nbor
"One of those things that happens when you start trying out the new drum machine (MFB Tanzbar Lite) and then you need a bass line, and then you need a lead, and then you need to quickly mix it up. So here's a mouse-mixing session, bringing these simple loops into something more than a few bars. All recorded and mixed in Bitwig. Other instruments are the Korg Minilogue and Arturia Microbrute."

Microbrute Layover
video upload by poorness studios
"I recently had a 4-hour layover in SLC airport and instead of sitting there bored... I decided to create this video. All sounds in this video were made with the Arturia Microbrute, a Sony TCM-200DV tape player (tape loop courtesy of The Void Electronics), and my Apple iPad. All the footage used in the video was captured with my smartphone."

Radio City (jamming w/live FM radio & tape loop)
video by poorness studios
"I decided to give this idea a try and I was fairly pleased with the results. I'm using a ByronStatics KCS-315 AM/FM radio and a Sony TCM-200DV variable-speed cassette player along with my Volca Bass, Volca Beats, and Microbrute synthesizers. The 7-second tape loop you hear was made by The Void Electronics in Ireland.
I made a playlist of other videos that involve cassettes: [below]
If you like tape loops, I highly recommend The Void Electronics on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheVoidElec..."

Still Here (jamming with a tape loop)
video by poorness studios
"Well this was fun. I decided to use my Sony TCM-200DV cassette player to play a 4-second tape loop. I got this cassette from The Void Electronics in Ireland. He does really nice work. I used the Arturia Microbrute and KORG KO-1 Kaossilator to jam along and make some crazy sounds. My Boss RV-6 Reverb and Rolls Multimix II also get involved.
If you like these kinds of loops, check out The Void Electronics on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheVoidElec..."
