Lacuna (Live Minimal Tech, Machinedrum, Minicommand, Tetra)
YouTube via JustinValer
"Lacuna is performed live using:
Elektron Machinedrum UW SPS-1 Mk1
RuinWesen Minicommand
DaveSmith Tetra
All mixing and sequencing occurs in the machinedrum. Audio from the Machinedrum runs into the KRK Monitors which is then recorded by the cam corder MIC. Sadly, my DAW failed to record the direct output of this track.

Vox Percussion King - RARE analog drum machine 1967
via this auction
"very rare and fully functioning Vox Percussion King. Famed to be one of the drum machines kraftwerk used on autobahn these do not come up often. great for a collector, but works great too!
Drums are triggered using buttons, can be assigned to upbeat/downbeat. very unique setup for a drum box, but heck it was 1967. available drum sounds are crash cymbal, brush cymbal, bass drum, snare drum, drum roll, bongo I, bongo II, block, clave, and castanet. 1/4" audio output and volume and tone controls."
Noisy tweak
Noisy tweak from dalas verdugo on Vimeo.
"Still learning what this stuff can do. Using a wavetable VCO as a clock that goes through a clock divider that gets fed into Maths, which generates functions that are fed to various other parts of the patch, including the filter's CV control. Things got weirder when I made the wavetable VCO sync to another VCO. Turning up FM on the VCOs adds to the mess."

Gary Chang: Make Noise Pressure Points

http://analoguehaven.com/
"Here's a pair of Gary Chang's Pressure Points mounted in a small tabletop enclosure (the manufacturer and model # is PacTec Model CM69-120 / www.pactecenclosures.com/Plastic-Enclosures/CM69-120.html ).
They have been modified by Tony of Make Noise to run off a 9v battery.
From Gary: "I sent my Pressure Point back to him and he modified a pair of them for battery power so that I can move it around in my studio to use with whatever modular that I want - the Wiard, Serge or Eurorack...."
The modules can also draw their power from Gary's Eurorack rig via a custom cable, when desired.

Macbeth: X-Series 'Backend' Filter

"The Macbeth X-Series 'Backend' Filters are here! Beautiful construction and very nice sounding, they share the same price and size as the Dual Oscillators. Having both completes a synthesizer "voice" in Eurorack. Modules ship from stock via our website. LINK: www.analoguehaven.com/macbethstudiosystems/xseriesbackend..."
Continuation of PAiA 9700 Series Modules

"The 9700 development project continued to evolve at every turn. Progress accelerated in 2008 when we were joined by our newest designer, Cliff Schecht. Over the next year, Cliff took the existing design sketches and concepts and developed most of the new crop of modules with significant consultation from Geoff Schecht and feedback from the rest of us. When David Arms joined Chuck McLeavy's production team in 2009, these modules began to make the final huge leap from prototype to production.
Benefits from employing this new method of kit design have surpassed our expectations. The new crop of 9700 modules is utterly true to the original design goal: basic modules at an extremely affordable price that are, by far, the easiest-to-build kits we have ever produced. Even sweeter is that their performance rivals modules available from any manufacturer at any price."

BTW, I created an Online label for soft synths that are hosted in the cloud like this and Hobnox's AudioTools. I know there are more I posted, but can't seem to find them. Apologies to the makers. If you know or make an online synth, let me know and I will add the label.
This had me thinking about cloud based computing and it's potential impact on our world. We are a ways off, but one day it would be nice to be able to access your synths anywhere, anytime. Think of a mini portable keyboard with a tilted multi-touch screen. All your synths available anytime, any place, and completely customizable.
Note the "link to this patch" in AngryOctopus' online synths. It's an easy way to share and save your patches.

Auduino: DIY Arduino Synthesizer
YouTube via kizel4
"The Auduino, a DIY synthesizer, originally developed by the tinker.it team.
I decided to make a few modifications to the original. I added a switch that enables a light dependent resistor (LDR) to control the rate of the noise, which essentially means the more light that hits the resistor, the faster the tempo.
I also did not want to commit to one mapping of the Auduino -- I liked both the the smooth frequency and the stepped pentatonic mapping, so I added a switch to move between the two synthesiser parameters.

"Michael Penn plays live"
via Brian Kehew:
"Patrick Warren playing Chamberlin M1, live with Michael Penn on the tonight show. Incredible work; he uses cellos and strings, marimbas, and the electric guitar patch for the solo at 2:20. I really think Patrick is the best player of tape-replay keyboards, very tasteful and beautiful and he created a unique style pitch-bending by slowing down the motor."
Analog Impressions #031
YouTube via Dovinia
"Roland Juno-6 triggered by a Univox SR-95 (Korg Minipops 7). But that's impossible, right ?! The Minipops doesn't have trigger out or any other connectors apart from line out. So how can this work ? Well the secret is signal splitting and heavy amplification on the one side of the split that runs into the Juno. You also need to try to isolate the treble a bit. This kind of trigger is very unstable, and the arpeggio on the Juno tends to jump all over the place. But that's the charm of a pure analog signal path."

Create and control tiny sound-creatures in the shape of letters that react to gravity or each other and generate rhythms and soundscapes. abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz blends biology, physics, chemistry and art to create a unique and dynamic sound ecology.
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz is a sound toy, a performance tool and an art work in its own right. You can play with the letter-creatures and watch and listen how they interact with each other or use them to produce soundscapes like you would with an electronic musical instrument.
This app is the result of jörg piringer's ongoing research of vocal sounds and their relation to dynamic typography in the form of performance, video and software art."

MOLECULE DANCE (The Strange World Of Bernard Fevre, 1975)
"Molecule Dance by Bernard Fevre from the library album THE STRANGE WORLD OF BERNARD FEVRE (L'Illustration Musicale, 1975).
Scenes taken from the german/british sci-fi series STAR MAIDENS (Die Mädchen aus dem Weltraum) from 1976.
Plot (from Wikipedia):
Star Maidens is a television series made by Portman Productions for the ITV Network in 1976.
Filmed at Bray Studios and on location in Windsor, Bracknell and Black Park, the series was part financed by a German company (Werbung im Rundfunk) and was the brainchild of Charles Pym.
The series offered a battle of the sexes/role reversal scenario in which two male domestics escape from the female-ruled planet Medusa, land on Earth and are pursued by the Medusan security forces. When the Medusans fails to recapture the two men, they take two Earth hostages - a man and a woman - back with them to their home planet. The thirteen episodes of the series deal with the two groups trying to adapt to life on the different planets whilst brokering an exchange for the hostages.
Regarded as something of a camp novelty, Star Maidens tuned in to the sexual equality revolution of the time, and features some Femdom elements.
The series starred JUDY GEESON, LISA HARROW, CHRISTIANE KRÜGER, PIERRE BRICE, CHRISTIAN QUADFLIEG and GARETH THOMAS."

Clockwork by The Richard Termini Project 'phase one' circa 1976
YouTube via rtermini
"Termini wrote Clockwork during 1975 and 1976. In 1976 termini got a couple a two three friends together and they recorded it at a proper 2 inch 16 track recording studio in the big city. Daniel Paolillo did a masterful job on Bass, playing a huge custom built Bass and Guitar Double Neck. Marty Steinberg, pal since Junior High was the perfect Drummer. Termini plays Mellotron, Hammond B3, Minimoog and Acoustic piano on this work. Vicki Zollo appears on voice just at the end of this truncated version.
At the time of this recording Termini was 20, Marty and Dan and Vicki all were 19 years old.
Audio was captured by sound engineer William Wittman, AKA Weedy Wet. All the folks involved can be seen in this video. Can you spot them all? Cheers RT
