Plasticid MkII From Waveshaper Converted by Sunsine Audio
"The Boss DR-110 is a cute little drum machine from the early 80s, the last analogue one made by Roland. The overall sound is very reminiscent to the much praised TR-808 and TR-606. The DR-110 will give you that classic, sought-after sound but with some slight difference and much character. Plasticid MkII takes this sample pack one step further, with 120 new samples gathered in 18 kits. This new version aims at coloration and expands the sonic palette of the DR-110, processing it using vintage hardware to shape it up nicely. The cymbals are spitting, the bassdrum is kicking, and the snare and claps tones ranging from dark to bright make each kit acting like a rebirth for the mighty DR-110! Great care has been taken about recording a semi open hat sample for even more expression.
Converted and exclusively available for iOS use (Nanostudio and Beatmaker 2) from Sunsine Audio. Please visit http://waveshaper.12r.org/ for original Wav file versions.
*Requires Beatmaker 2 or Nanostudio*

• 18 .trg files for Nanostudio

New Synthesizers.com Q174 MIDI Interface
via Synthesizers.com
"The Q174 MIDI Interface module accepts MIDI data from a keyboard, computer or other device and produces Pitch, Gate and other signals needed to control the synthesizer.
Three modes of operation offer a variety of outputs for one or two MIDI channels. Outputs include standard 1V/Octave Pitch outputs with 10-octave ranges, 5V Gates, Trigger pulse, On and Off Velocity, Channel Pressure and several Continuous Controller outputs.
Complete control over Note Priority and Gate modes provide virtually any type of keyboard response emulating virtually all vintage and modern keyboards along with some that are unique.
Controls and Connectors
MIDI Input
MIDI input. Channel is jumper-selectable to 1,3,5 or 7.
Pitch Output
Pitch voltage output. 1V/Octave scaling. 10-Octave range. This output also responds to pitch bend messages from the MIDI port (+/- 2 semitones).
Add In Input
Voltages patched into this input are added to the voltage at the Pitch output. This allows transposing using a sequencer, vibrato from oscillators, merging of other controllers, etc.
Velocity Output
Note On Velocity messages produce a voltage at the Velocity Output. The range is 0-5V. This voltage can be used to set amplitude, filter frequence or any voltage-controllable parameter within the synthesizer.
Gate Output
Gate output. 5 volt positive. Typically used to control envelope generators are start sequencers. An LED indicates the status of this output.
Mode Switch
The mode switch determines the function of the middle three outputs. Regardless of the mode, data from the first MIDI channel produces signals in the top section. Gate and Priority switches are in effect in all modes.
Mode 1
Full-featured single-channel operation. The middle three outputs produce Channel Pressure voltage, Off Velocity voltage and a Trigger Pulse.
Mode 2
Full-featured single-channel operation. The middle three outputs produce Pitch, Velocity and Gate signals for a second channel (selected channel+1).
Mode 3
The middle three outputs produce analog voltages from Continuous Controller Messages #1 and #7, along with an On/Off Gate signal from #4. These can be used to control filters, start sequencers, etc.
Gate Mode
Determines how Gate signals are produced when multiple keys are pressed. Single mode produces a new Gate signal only when there is one key being pressed, subsequent overlapping notes do not produce a Gate. Multiple mode produces a new Gate at ever keypress regardless of the number being pressed simultaneously. Mulitple+R mode is like Multiple mode but also produces a new gate when keys are released.
Note Priority
Determines how Pitch voltages are created when multiple keys are pressed. Last mode produces a pitch that is the most recent note played. Low mode produces a the lowest being played. High mode produces a the lowest being played.
Specifications
Panel Size: Single width 2.125"w x 8.75"h.
Pitch Outputs: 1V/Octave, 10-octave range.
Velocity Outputs: 0-5V.
Gate Outputs: 5V positive.
Trigger Output: 5V positive, 5ms.
Channel Pressure: 0-5V.
MIDI Pitch Bend: Affects Pitch outputs +/- 2 semitones.
Pitch Add Input: External voltage added to Pitch.
CC Outputs: CC1(analog 0-5V), CC7(analog 0-5V), CC4(digital 0-5V).
MIDI Channel #: Jumper-selectable to 1, 3, 5 or 7.
Gate Modes: Single, Multiple, Multiple+Release.
Note Priority: Last, Low, High.
Power: +15V@30ma, -15V@30ma, +5V@50ma."

"We recently serviced an EMS Synthi AKS here at The Analog Lab in NYC. The unit came in for repair, refurbishment, and the modifications were streamlined. The mods were done for Studio Hofschneider Berlin. The owner had the original document of all the modifications.
The AKS has its own sound and has definitely stood the test of time. It is very easy to overdrive and the envelopes are generally a little wonky, but its a classic sound.
We decided it would be fun to have a classic British synth playing the Doctor Who Theme. Allons-y!"

"This quintessential module, while seeming fairly utilitarian,
Is practically Indispensable.
At only 8HP wide and 30mm deep
You can Mix, Mult, Invert and Offset your Audio and CV.
For starters there is a 3 Channel Mixer with x3 Buffered Outs.
Then there is a dedicated Analog Inverter.
Last but not least there is an Offset Manipulator.
The Offset Manipulator is designed to take a signal and combine it with an offset.
It will work fine without a signal coming in to it though. Just take the signal from the Offset Manipulator out and dial in your desired voltage.
The Offset Manipulator Out is Normalled to the 3rd Mix In Jack Switch. If you don't want your Mixer Signals Offset, Connect a plug to the 3rd Mix In Jack First, or just turn the 3rd attenuator down all the way.
The Mixer Out is Normalled to the Inverter In Jack Switch.
That way you can have an inverted version of your MixOut at the Inverter Out without using an extra patch cable

"An autopoietic machine is a machine organized (defined as a unity) as a network of processes of production (transformation and destruction) of components which: (i) through their interactions and transformations continuously regenerate and realize the network of processes (relations) that produced them; and (ii) constitute it (the machine) as a concrete unity in space in which they (the components) exist by specifying the topological domain of its realization as such a network. In this installation, an autopoietic system is created from refashioned semi-antiquated audio-visual apparatus which perpetually translate a signal through various possibilities of dissemination into the surrounding environment in order to place the emphasis in the movement of the formal means of communication rather than the specifics of the information carried.
