Flame Talking Synth and Synthrotek Audio Interface

Published on Sep 5, 2015 FatSynthDude

"I got bit by the modular bug. Hard. This vid is a test of a few of those toys. All of this was recorded with the Synthrotek audio interface into my Android phone. The most prominent module in the video is the Flame Talking Synth being modulated by an Oberkorn, Vostok, Kraftzwerg, Galilean Moons, and f(H) Imp. Later in the video, a Frequency Central Digital Oscilator is introduced being modulated by the Galilean Moons and being run through the Dave Smith DSM01. These are being mixed into the Vostok's mixer section, through a Synthrotek Eko, and attenuated by a Malekko VCA before being sent to the audio interface. This new interface makes recording on my phone a lot more quick and clean so expect more videos in the future!"

New Dawn (1994)

Published on Sep 5, 2015 RaveAngst

"This Patch is developed from a memory of a Time in 1994 when i was some kind of homeless for a few months, because of a fire in the house where i've lived. Some good friends gave me shelter in there Home and we've listened a lot to all this lovely intelligent Techno/Ambient/Electronica stuff from this time, especially to Selected Ambient Works part 2 from Apex Twin, wich i've bought during my homelessness, as you can hear with the Pad in the Patch.
Sorry for my bad English and maybe leave a comment if you like the Patch!

Drums n' Stuff are from my Modular, Pad Sound is from my Emu and Baseline from my TB303. Everything is sequenced from my Octatrack and ER-101.

Roland Alpha Juno-2 atmospheric sounds

Published on Sep 5, 2015 SynthMania

"The classic Alpha Juno-2 is often used for its 'hoovers' and other hard dance sounds. But there's also a gentler, ambient side. This video explores that side, using an old faithful - the MidiVerb II - for the reverberations."

via the listing: "If you have ever wondered why women feel uncomfortable in the music industry, one of the innumerable reasons is likely pictured to the above this paragraph. Metasonix used to make processors for the most sophmorically inclined, which sound about as good as they look. Which is to say, depending on your taste, it might be exactly what you wanted. This is a fully tested and disfunctioning TM-7, serial number 126, chock full of more internalized misogyny than your favourite Reddit subforum. What, you don't have a sense of humor?"

"The real thing. Needs a new home, that'll give the oscillators some TLC. Had it recapped. Since I don't use it in the studio anymore, might as well let it go. Everything works, some of the wood has a splinter, probably due to the AZ heat. Great condition overall. Had one previous owner. Selling it a bit cheaper than the competition since it needs service. One of the first ones off the bench, very artisanal feel. Come with its own hard case (not pictured). Will pack it snuggly."

"Ok, I get it, this thing looks like it barely survived WWII.

I have no idea what the person was thinking from whom I bought it from. But it looks like they shaved or sanded off the paint from the front panel.

But now is your chance to have the Korg MS2000R sound! All the buttons and knobs work fine and it sounds fantastic.

The only issue is that one of the led plastic pieces has fallen in to the case a bit, but the light still works and you can tell its on. check the picture (P1 in the source/destination section) And you could fix it by taking the case apart and putting it back in place again.

Comes with a working, but unoriginal, power supply. (you really think anything else original survived alongside this thing?)"

"Testing my new 'Swiss Army Module' (Gain, Attenuation, Inversion, Offset) in a musical context, controling the voltage from a sequencer into two voices (Lizard2 and Wave Freaker) for some microtonal/macrotonal persussive musical palindromes :)"

And some additional info:
"New QM prototype, possibly a future VBrazil offering :) The MacGyver, or Swiss Army Module: Two channels of Gain, Inversion, Attenuation and Offset with visual indication of output polarities. Lot's of fun using it to manipulate the voltage from my beatstep before it hits my oscillators!"

Zoom MS-70CDR (Chorus, Delay and Reverb) with DSI Mopho synth

Published on Sep 5, 2015 Marcus Padrini

"After watching a video showing the Zoom MS-70CDR multistomp working with a Prophet 08, I decided to try it out. I have been looking for a compact fx for my analog synths. So here is my first test with it and the DSI Mopho Keyboard. On the MS-70CDR I am using the Auto Pan + Mod Delay + Hall HD Reverb. Up to now, I think It sounds really nice.
