Ellis Electronics PolyKey / Distortion Synthesizer

"***this is a one of a kind item - - 1 Available***

The PolyKey/Distortion Synthesizer is an experimental Lo-Fi sound device that explores the unpredictable realm of 'data type' distortion.

when the 'data distort' control is at 0 (far right knob), the device functions as a polyphonic 5-voice wavetable synthesizer. each voice has it own key button and a microtonal pitch control knob above.
decay control for the 5 enveloped voices (top knob) and 40 waveform shapes are available to shuffle between using the wave button (directly under decay control knob)

the data distort control "inflates" the audio data stream and also adjusts the threshold (or data type) in which the sound data can 'overflow' . this overflowing of data causes drastic frequency modulation and unpredictable wave folding. these effects and percussion type sounds can be explored using the 5 pitch control knobs above each voice key and by switching between the 40 unique waveform shapes.

audio output - 1/8 inch "headphone style" jack
power - mini USB cable included

-ships out same day!

***this device is a one of a kind*** as i continue to explore the sound synth possibilities of the atmega 328 microprocessor, i will have various one of a kind development models (prototypes) for sale."

Oberheim OB-8 Analog Midi Synthesizer Keyboard

"Factory Midi was installed by a Gibson tech in California during the brief period when Gibson owned and administered warranted Oberheim service..

It has just been fully benched, cleaned and calibrated. All 8 voices tune. Everything functions as it should.

Of course it sounds fat and lush and livid ethereal by the turns of those knobs..."

"This is the original MKI version, it's a little taller than the later MKII and unlike the MKII, these Mark1's get hot when running for a long time."

Abildgard Droid-3 Digital Chiptune Synthesizer

via this auction

One one other has been featured here before.

"Super rare digital monosynth with a chiptune sound but much more "industrial" and a bit less "video game" but it's still very capable of that too. Really great unique sound. These synths are extremely rare, I think only 32 were ever made? ..Additionally, I think less than 4 exist in North America. If you don't know what this is, search engine it.. you won't be dissapointed ;)

There is no power supply or owners manual. It's easy to use, just a standard menu system with 1 knob & an escape and enter button. I have tested it and it works great."

Sputnik Modular Performance :: "No Regrets"

Published on Jun 3, 2018 Mike Thomas

"A modular synthesizer performance carried out on a Sputnik Modular system. All sounds, and most "control" done with Sputnik modules.

I traded out the WMD Tool-Box for 2hp Div (really needed a clock divider!), 2hp Delay, and 2hp Tune (quantizer). This opened up the case for more interesting rhythmic stuff and allows the Disting to take on other roles when needed (though, ironically, it didn't get used in this patch).

In order of appearance ...

Percussion/rhythm is pink and white noise alternated by Sputnik Selector and enveloped by a channel of Quad Function and Trigger Source (QFTS). Decay modulated by a West Coast Random Source (WCRS) Fluctuating Random Voltages (FRV).

First voice is Sputnik Oscillator Sub output, which is eventually mixed with the Main/Waveshaped output. Waveshaping parameter modulated by WCRS Stored Random Voltage (SRV). Notes "sequenced" by WCRS Quantized Random Voltages (QRV), and quantized by 2hp Tune (major scale). QRV index hand modulated. 2hp Tune's "Bias" parameter modulated by 5-Step Voltage Source (5SVS). Final mixed output sent to Quad VCF/VCA (QVV) in LPG mode and sent to a second channel of QVV in Filter mode, also manually wiggled.

Second/bass voice is Sputnik Dual Oscillator Sine and Final outputs mixed and enveloped by QFTS and QVV. Envelope is also modulating Timbre. Modulation oscillator is in VCO mode and AMing the main oscillator. Modulation index, Harmonics Order, and Timbre manually increased over the course of the piece. Notes sequenced by one channel of 5SVS. 5SVS is advanced every other trigger from 2hp Div by multing the Div channel to WCRS S&H Pulse 'splitter'."

"Here i'm testing my last modular case. This one is specialized in sequencing.
Drums are from a MFB bassdrum and snare, some percussion from the Assimil8or and also 2 analog percussion tracks.
Bass is from the Mutable Instruments Braids through a Doepfer SSM filter.
For effects i used twice the Demora delay."

korg Monologue + moog DFAM

"Further analog explorations with these two synths. The DFAM plays the melody this time around, with some pitch assistance from the korg SQ-1 resulting in what feels like a 16-step DFAM sequence. The Monologue plays the grungy bass line. Enjoy."

"This is a rare ElectroComp EML-500 Synthesizer. It powers on and the keys and slides produce weird sounds. I am not however, able to fully test it so it is being sold as is. I know that these often need to be restored so considering the very good condition as you can see from the pictures, this would make a good project for someone. The serial number I believe is engraved on the bottom wood rail 749."

iTunes: DerVoco - BeepStreet

"*** Note: DerVoco is an Audio Unit effect extension and requires an AUv3 compatible host app, like AUM, BM3, Cubasis or GarageBand. It does not run as a standalone app ***

Make your synths or drums speak and sing!

DerVoco is a vintage vocoder emulation. DerVoco uses analog modelled components including filters, envelope followers and companders to create a warm vintage sound instead of digital techniques like FFT.

• AUv3 Audio Effect and Audio Music Effect, works in all AUv3 compatible hosts.
• Internal polyphonic VCO may be used as a carrier and can be controlled via MIDI, when plugin is loaded as AU MFx.

• A special "input mode” where the carrier and modulator signals are encoded as the left and right channels of a stereo input signal. In this mode any synth plugin (e.g. BeepStreet Zeeon) may be used as a carrier signal.
• 11 or 15 bands with on-screen equalizer.
• Controllable filter resonance continuously blends from smooth to sharp and ringing sound signature.
• Built in compressor and noise gate
• Optimised to the limits: 60 filters take 4% CPU on latest iPads."

Keeping it simple- Arturia Keystep & Korg Volca Bass Keys and Sample jam, analog synth and sampler

Published on Jun 3, 2018 Expanding Sound

"I've been enjoying making some simple jams this week, limiting myself to only a couple pieces of gear. Sometimes I find when I give myself limitations with my setup it's easier to be productive. Just the idea of you have what you have, now do something with it. I think the Bass is a great Volca, but the Keystep or some sort of outside sequencing is necessary. Im starting to feel the same about the Volca keys as well."
