Arturia Microbrute & Synthstrom Deluge

video upload by Easy Tiger

"Just having fun improvising on the microbrute over a simple chord progression played by the deluge. Delay and reverb for the microbrute is also coming from the deluge.

The microbrute is special to me because it was the first synth I owned. Even though I don't use it as much anymore I still love it for its hands-on control and I think it sounds fantastic!"

Waddingtons Compute-a-Tune w/ Original Box

via this auction

You can find a couple of demos previously posted here.

"1978 (I think) Waddingtons Compute-a-Tune Analog Synthesizer with Programmable 32-Note Sequencer. Made in the UK (Leeds). With original box and instructions.

Battery powered (nearly new batteries included). Line out and built in speaker. Volume knob is disabled for line out. It has a fixed volume. Check out the various videos on You Tube to see what this does.

Distinctive sound and 2 octave membrane keyboard. Black and white notes!

Condition is good overall. There are some marks to the plastic surface, but no major damage. The keys work and other membrane buttons work pretty well. I'm sure as well as they ever did ;) The sponge in the battery compartment had worn away, so I cleaned the last bits of it off. Doesn't effect use. The name plate below the speaker is a little bent (it's thin tin or something and not a sticker). Box is in pretty good condition with original polystyrene. Some rips here and there.

The switches on top are quite stiff, but all working. I bought this for a one-off project and much fun, though it is, space and money require this sale."

"Have you been searching for a very rare classic/vintage synthesizer? Well; here it is! One of the MOST BEAUTIFUL synthesizers ever built... Any angel you look at it, it is BREATH-TAKING; and screams late 70's... What makes this gem extra unique and special, is the condition that is in! It has been well preserved, and is in MINT CONDITION! This wonder is adored by all collectors, and will keep on going up in value... Needless to say, being in this condition, everything works perfectly as it was, when it rolled off the factory.

My wife inherited this from her grandfather. He was a very neat person, and a collector. So, it has been pampered all its life, barely played with, and mostly tucked away securely in the closet with the rest of the collectables (that we might make available for sale soon! Stay tuned...). I truly enjoy, and adore this magnificent synth, and really wish I could keep it, but the decision is not mine to make...

I am sure that if you are looking at this item, you know enough about it. But you can always Google it, and read all you need.

It is truly hard for us to part with it, and we hope this unique and rare beauty finds a good home, and stays in this condition, so one day, it may end up in a museum..."

Giorgio Sancristoforo's Compusynth for Windows Now Available

You can find it at You cand find demo videos in previous posts here.

Compusynth is a modular synthesizer that takes inspiration from the west coast paradigm and the mighty Altair8800, one of the first personal microcomputers available to the hobbyists in the mid 70s.

With its peculiar 128 bit sequencer, oscillators, filters, efxs and processors, Compusynth is a powerful sonic laboratory thanks to its generous resources and flexible routing with 1596 patch points!

Compusynth has everything I ever dreamt about west coast modulars: enough resources to create tons of sounds with the addition of a large memory sequencer and a fantastic tape echo.

Compusynth can make weird experimental sounds as well as traditional fat synth sequences that will serve any music genere with its warm and deep tone.

A cute tape recorder with many tape simulations is at hand to record your sound and gigs

Compusynth is made for experimentation, free from cliché and formulas, it is a magnificent tool for live improvisation, drones, strange bongos and extremely flexible for sound design.

You can use any virtual audio driver to connect Compusynth with your DAW, just in case…"

sonicPlanet app "Creation"

video upload by Richard Devine

"The user gains the architect’s role by creating dialogues in a 3D simulation scene based on gravitational interaction. A force that is responsible for the macro-formal evolution of our universe.

Creation calculates the gravitational interaction between up to 999 objects and 5 masses (with GPU) and renders the cumulative sound from this dynamically evolving space data.

Each object itself represents an oscillator with a rich sound synthesis engine and unique modulation capabilities"

The Golden Rabbit Welcoming Spring Synthesizer! 金兔迎春,但是合成器

video upload by Meng Qi

"Happy new year of the Rabbit! 🐰 Best wishes from the not-far-away Horizon!

Dual osc per voice, cross and self phase modulation;
Keyboard-triggering sounds;
Low to high and tonal to firecracker by just one parameter.
Gaussian-distributed pan modulation simulates a real-life situation when a few firecrackers in a string fly sideways to explode separately ;
Blessings from the dancing Golden Rabbit!

EOMSS serial# oo3 (Butternut) demo - forgotten but not gone

"this system is available for purchase on reverb [listed here]

-Ellitone Osage Modular Synthesizer System (4-voice) being sequenced by Ableton Live via MIDI.

-experimenting here with a strange MIDI delay plugin I found called Mdelay. this note delay can sometimes lead to glitchy sounding notes when you have a limited number of voices. But overall, its an inspiring plugin that can really jazz up simple sequences.

-this demo shows how well these dual analog oscillators can accurately track incoming pitch voltages across a range of octaves (1V/octave). These are modern adaptions of the classic buchla 258 oscillator circuits using THAT340 matched transistor pairs to create the expo-converters."

Simmons SDS-2000 SN 000900

via this auction

"Looks and sounds great - quite punchy. And MIDI!

This versions is without the optional Reverb DSP.
It's a digital module triggered by external drum pads. Mainly based on samples derived from the big SDS X sampler. The SDS-2000 is the last drum brain from the company before the closure.

Each channel have own volume and a label:
-channel 1 bass
-channel 2 snare
-channel 3 hi tom
-channel 4 low tom
-channel 5 mid Tom
Each channel can be tuned to +/- 7 semitones (some sounds limited to 5)

Sounds can be triggered by Midi input.
Midi can also act as a trigger to midi converter.
Also a Midi THRU port.

The brain manages up to 5 analog inputs to trigger the internal sounds. The relative pad sensivity can be set using the "SENS" button.

TIP: you can trigger sounds using these combo: "VU METER" + "UP" + "DOWN" at the same time."

Quick guide for LIVEN Lofi-12 v2.0

video upload by ChrisLody

"LIVEN Lofi-12 v2.0:

● Chopping
Two new voice modes called ‘Drum’ and ‘Chop’ auto-slice samples easily with the newly developed Downbeat Divider*. Sliced sections of a sample are then spread across the keyboard making finger drumming possible.

● Resampling
Patterns and tracks can be resampled by internally recording the audio output into a new sample. Real-time resampling of your keyboard playing is also possible.

● Remix Effect
A beat repeater effect ‘R.MIX’, added to the master effect options, makes glitchy real-time performances possible.

The new features are designed to work well with each other so you can easily create drum tracks with auto-slicing and record lively performances that are not constrained by the grid of the internal step sequencer. You can also resample samples and tracks for infinite effects processing and even build your own beats and kits ready to be sliced up in the Drum and Chop modes.

The new features in version 2.0 will further expand your creativity!

*…Downbeat Divider is an auto-slicing function that divides the entire sample into equal portions of equal length by setting the length of one beat. Set the length by the [VOICE] ADJ. It can be set from 0 to 255 for a maximum of 1 second. The default is 0.5 seconds at 167.

PLEASE NOTE: The new Drum sounds I describe were revised shortly after the video was finished so are available as individual samples rather than a bank. Therefore the upload procedure is not the same as shown at the start of the video. Sonicware has provided an update guide for the firmware and new sounds so please refer to that for guidance."
