HI FIVE sends +12V and receives five analog CV signals over an ethernet cable from a (potentially) infinite variety of CV controllers.

Each CV channel can be attenuverted +/-10V and offset +/-5V before its output.

RJ45 development PCBs are available. Design your own dream controller!
DIG IT! controls its five CV channels with a joystick, FSR pressure point, a bright arcade-style LED solo button and a LED button and 45mm fader pair. The buttons have on-momentary off and off-momentary on settings.

MANUAL OVERRIDE controls CV with 60 mm faders and LED button pairs similar to channel E of DIG IT! on all five channels.

Standard color schemes for LEDs, buttons and fader caps are Rainbow (red-orange-yellow-green-blue), and Biopower Green. For an extra charge, we will build custom any combination of these colors (and white with black faders).

3U Eurorack panels are also available for DIG IT! and MANUAL OVERRIDE. When mounted in your rack, the controllers connect to HI FIVE with a 2x4 IDC ribbon cable."

Super Synthesis is Shutting Down Dec 31 w/ Big Sale & Two New Modules

"It is with bittersweet excitement I announce that Super Synthesis is closing Dec 31st, 2024. That will be right around 11.5 years, and it's been a total blast. I started Super when I was 23 years old making format-less kits and noise boxes instead of finishing my EE degree. I still am pretty sure that was the right move lol... ask again when I'm 120! I will keep supporting all of my modules forever, and the current lineup will live on as DIY kits from Synthcube, and as open source designs on the Super github. I'll probably keep putting new stuff there too as it gets finished, as open designs and synth education have been my goal and priority since day one.

On Jan 1, the Super store will close down for good. Until then, everything is discounted in an effort to liquidate stock. Right now your whole order is 40% off. If anything is left by the holidays, that discount will get deeper! I really just want this stuff in people's racks.

I have been working on a reverb and a chorus for the past couple of years. I love them, but funds and time and various things got in the way of actually releasing them. They're both kind of noisy, mono, sort of imperfect, and totally badass. I'll try to get some demos up, but at $59.40 ($99 at the 40% discount), you could just grab one or both and support j'boy! This reverb was a blast to develop. I got to learn all about vintage resource-constrained reverbs and came up with an original algorithm that is super tasty and useful. The chorus module is a little less exciting, I guess, but the delay time goes up to about 1/3 of a second so it's really just badass modulated delay. Check them both out:

"ROOM is a simple reverb effect boasting much tasty character comprised of modulated all pass delay lines with high and low pass filters in the main feedback path.

FEEDBACK controls the overall feedback around the loop. At max, the verb will sustain nearly indefinitely.

LP and HP control the cutoff frequencies of the high-pass and low-pass filters in the main feedback path. Adjust LP for darker, danker, sounds. Adjust HP to remove boom, simulate smaller spaces, or create long twinkly sizzles.

SIZE controls the length of the internal delay lines. At minimum you get little cabinets or bathrooms, at max you get deep halls and spacious canyons.

ROOM is retro. It's kind of noisy. It is deliciously useful.

"Snapped this ancient D'Amery upright piano on my summerbreak in Gran Canaria, nice Airbnb rental bonus eh?

Crazy, but sampled this one with my Samsung S21 stereo phone mic. Layed it in the cabinet for some really closed-up sampling (macro sampling?) At home, I was positively surprised with the results: although some compression and slight noise, it sounded fine to me.

This one is for my Patreon supporters but there are many freebies for Kurzweil users (without registration).

"It feels like the good old days of punk to replace a poly synth with a mono. Sure it's never going to do everything a real poly can do, and yes of course it's going to be drenched in reverb because that's the trick, but nuts to those expensive polys, we're improvising.

Star of the show is the Erica Synths Nightverb. It's ideally suited to the job because it has excellent tone-shaping controls. But any reverb that can go 100% wet will do. Synths are the DB-01 and LXR-02 drum machine. Using a drum machine and a reverb to replace a poly synth is especially satisfying. In fact the LXR has some useful features for this: you can cue up separate tones on each voice and then use the faders as a tone mixer, and you can assign velocity sensitivity to some or all parts.

It's a bit rough and digital at times, but bollocks to that.

So, I guess it was supposed to be laid flat on the back or mounted to a stand with a screw since there's a female screw socket on the center of the back. You can tweak the sounds with the trim pots inside including making the bass drum sound self-oscillate like a Roland TR-808."

WARNING: The D-2000 is NOT a 'Linndrum' or a 'TR606 simulation' or a sample playback device! Do not expect it to sound or behave like a classic drum machine or a real drummer! Do not expect it to sound or behave like a machine trying to sound like a drummer! It is ABNORMAL. It does NOT behave like other music products. Also, please do not power it up, experiment for a few minutes, and then quickly contact us, claiming it is 'broken' or 'bad'. Each new D-2000 was tested at the factory very carefully. Many of our past products were often returned with a warranty claim that they were 'broken'. And most such 'broken' units turned out to be working perfectly. We will publicly mock anyone who returns a working D-2000 claiming it is 'broken'. The D-2000 contains five drum 'voices', which use vacuum tubes, plus a monophonic mixer also using a tube. "Studio Electronics Omega 2, 2 voice analog synth. Includes 2 oberheim, moog, Roland, and arp filters (one for each voice). Note the ARP filters were bought years apart, slightly different board revision/tweaks, and sound is slightly/subtly different. Also was sent in for op-amp board upgrade to make it a little punchier. This is a sweet sounding synth, SE were on the vintage analog sound kick before it became big — a smooth beautiful sound. Blue face is not standard I think? Looks nice, sounds better. Internal battery replaced last year."

"Super clean Jupiter 8 with midi mod. Purchased newly refurbished last year and only used in studio since. Cosmetically it’s in excellent shape, it functions flawlessly, and it sounds like a Jupiter 8 should (which is very good, for the uninitiated).

It‘s an older version from before midi was factory fitted, so this has the encore mod. It’s midi in only, and the port is the existing DIN sync port. Sync still works, just doubles as midi.

Helical Autoregressive Synthesizer - first look

"This module really spoke to me when I saw the first demo. Very ambient, but
also with lots of potential since you can swap out the wave tables.

I don't have the expander yet, but will definitely be adding it since some of the
filter behavior possible with it isn't possible simply by adding a filter after
the module in your chain.

This is just the first look, so I've not tried swapping out the wavetables.
That will probably be an endless quest to find the "perfect" one, which
may or may not be fruitful.

Lots of reverb here. That's about it. And later in the vid some delay.
