LoFi Future SUPER VEC 1060 Audio Reactive Analog Video Glitch FX Processor
video upload by LoFiFuture

"Available to order here: https://www.lofifuture.shop/product/s...
The SUPERVEC is a heavily modified / circuit bent video FX processor with audio reactive capabilities.
It is based on the VEC1060 video processor / enhancer. The circuit board of the VEC1060 is completely stripped of any unnecessary components from its audio mixer section and corresponding connectors / faders are removed. Every one of the original potentiometers is fully disassembled, cleaned professionally and reassembled with some high quality silicone lubricant so they operated noise free and feel smooth. Lastly the power input and power regulation circuitry is modified to use a standard 12V switching power supply.
This processor is audio reactive via its built in microphone or via the 1/4" line input. There are 3 selectable decay speeds that result in smooth audio reactivity.
The unit features 12 circuit bent effects that can be combined for a seemingly endless amount of variation. With all of the effects off the unit retains all of its original functionality."

JP-8000 Emulator by DSP56300 in the Works
This one is in via an anonymous reader.
You might be familiar with DSP56300's Waldorf, Access, and Clavia/Nord emulations from previous posts. The emulations stand out as they are ports of the original code running on emulations of the motorola DSP56300 chip. It looks like they will be tackling the Roland JP-8000/8080 next with the JE-8086, however, the JP-8000 runs on a custom Toshiba DSP chip, not Motorola. They are branching out.
via Google AI: "The Roland JP-8000 synthesizer contains a custom Toshiba-made ESP2 chip for its digital signal processing, which was a key component for its virtual analog (VA) synthesis and the creation of its iconic Supersaw waveform. The ESP2 chip was a general-purpose DSP developed by Toshiba and used in several other Roland and Boss products of the era."

"Here we have the UDO session on the DivKid Discussions stage from Machina Bristronica 2025. Cuckoo had spend some time with UDO and joined George and I for the chat discussing the new DMNO. DMNO is a binaural, multitimbral, polyphonic synthesiser that's far more raw and chaotic with lots of studio utility compared to the other UDO instruments. It's always a pleasure to chat to George and see hm play his instruments so enjoy the conversation! Talking points are in the chapter marks below."

Marco Bernardi Interview — Machina Bristronica 2025
video upload by Stromkult
"At this year’s Machina Bristronica, we caught up with Marco Bernardi — a longtime figure in the UK electronic music scene and the driving force behind both Elevator Sound and Machina Bristronica. Our conversation touched on the journey that led him into these roles, the influence of Superbooth in inspiring a uniquely UK counterpart, and how such a massive gathering of the synth community can be pulled off by such a small but dedicated team. Together with James and Ben, Marco has turned Machina Bristronica into one of the UK’s most exciting electronic music and Synth showcases.

Block Rockin' Beats/The Chemical Brothers (Circuit Tracks Version)
video upload by Guinan
"'Back with another one of those block rockin' beats.....'
I've been searching around for an ideal Chemical Brothers track to recreate on the Circuit Tracks when up popped one of my favourite channels, @smallplatesmusic with a video about this classic 1997 song off the album "Dig Your Own Hole'. I've loved the band since their 'Dust Brother'/Playstation 1 days and this mix of jazz, hip-hop and breakbeats blended with their signature synths is a true anthem. (plus check out another great band, 23 Skidoo's track 'Coup' for possible 'inpiration')
See the video here [below] for his fascinating deep dive into all of the samples used and the history behind them. Highly, highly recommend for any music fan...plus also some great Koala Sample App recreations too!
After commenting I was offered access to the Koala track shown in the video, and many of the samples in this recreation come from that version. Mark this up as my first collaboration on this channel! Huge thanks for the inspiration and help @smallplatesmusic
What you hear was all recreated on a single Novation Circuit Tracks with the drum tracks used to sequence the various samples, augmented with synth lines to underpin the sound when needed. It was recorded straight from the audio outs into a Zoom L6 without any extra synths or effects.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it and stay tuned!
More details for synth nerds.
BPM 109.
Synth 1 - sawtooth bass synth
Synth 2 - distorted PWM saw patch playing chords and stabs
Drum 1 - drum loops
Drum 2 - sequenced bass note samples
Drum 3 - vocal snatches and pitched gunshot(!) samples
Drum 4 - crash cymbal and 707 open and closed hihats"
Remaking "Block Rockin' Beats" on Koala Sampler
video upload by small plates music
"Back with another one of those..attempts to remake a dancefloor classic on my phone.
This early Chemical Brothers banger includes a lot of jazz, funk, soul and early hip-hop samples including Schoolly D’s raw intro, Wilton Felder’s (very technical...) bassline, and Bernard Purdie’s funky drum fills. I have a listen to the sample, tell you some interesting things I found out, then try to rebuild the track using Koala, showing you how it works (more or less).
Featuring nods to Grand Wizard Theodore, Afrika Islam, Adult Swim cartoons, and the Zulu Beat Show.
0:00-0:15 Intro - What are we doing here anyway?
0:23-1:10 Schoolly D "Back With Another One Of Those" vocal, Acqua Teen Hunger Force
1:10-1:45 The Crusaders bassline- Beastie Boys cover, every third 1/16th note, Wilton Felder's other credits
2:02-2:43 Using Koala for the bass and drums
2:43-4:07 Drums by Bernard Purdie- the sample machine
4:07- 5:20 "Hoooo!" - Early hip-hop artefacts, Grand Wizard Theodore
5:20-6:50 Afrika Islam on the Zulu Beats Show, waiting for MCs, 'We're about ready to rock steady'
6:50-7:36 "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo", "Rocksteady" Aretha Franklin drummer
7:36-9:00 Koala workout, using the samples to recreate Block Rockin' Beats"

Nord Modular G2X w/ Extras
Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this Reverb listing

"Likely only around 500 units of the 61-key Nord Modular G2X were ever produced, exact production number unknown. Each factory-equipped with the polyphony expansion — making it far rarer and more capable than the standard G2.
Listed intentionally at a high price to preserve genuine interest. ;)
Currently enjoying life in the studio among equally distinguished company – but if a serious offer comes in, I’ll listen.
Rare find Nord Modular G2X in near mint condition, complete original set – includes factory soft case, factory gooseneck mic, original user manual and installation CD. Fully serviced, recapped, running the latest OS.
Main features:
– Morph system: control up to 25 parameters with a single controller.
– Modular engine: hundreds of modules; VA oscillators, PM/shape oscillators, String Osc (physical modeling), complete sequencer family.
– Keyboard/control: 61 keys with velocity and aftertouch, Clavia pitch stick + mod wheel, plus two additional programmable LED-ring mod wheels unique to the G2X.
– I/O: built-in XLR gooseneck mic with preamp (for vocoder and audio modulation), 4 audio inputs / 4 audio outputs.
– Internal routing: internal audio bus between Slots, dedicated arpeggiator and vibrato LFO with no wasted modules.
– Multitimbral: 4 independent Slots, Performance mode for layers and splits, 8 Variations per patch switchable in real time.
– Rarity: the G2X includes the factory Voice Expansion, providing greater polyphony than the standard G2.
– Condition: full set, serviced and recapped, latest OS, all encoders and buttons work perfectly.
Not for sale at any price – serious buyers only."

Roland Jupiter-4 - The Analog Polyphonic Pioneer
A deep dive into my favorite Jupiter the Roland Jupiter-4, exploring its unique features and the reasons it is often overshadowed despite its significant contributions. The enduring legacy of the Roland Jupiter-4, a foundational analog polyphonic synthesizer, is explored in this video. Its pioneering sound and significant impact on electronic music are highlighted.
I used in the demo track:
Roland Jupiter-4 (1978) most sounds
Roland TR-808 (1982) drums
PPG wave 2.2 (1982) choir sounds"
A stereo Korg Poly 61
video upload by Craig Barnes
"As my poly 61 is now controlled by a dedicated editor, the editor hardware can be used to control a Behringer June 60 chorus, a simple mod of the June 60 to use 5v relays instead of push buttons and it can be controlled by a micro."
Kurzweil K250 (1984)
video upload by MrFirechild
"Kurzweil K250 is a legendary synthesizer from 1984 and back then it was many years ahead of its competition! It was the worlds first rompler! For those owning Fairlight and Synclaivers you were able to use orchestral sounds but you have to load them from huge floppy discs or mega expensive hard drives and it took many minutes to load a single sound! The Kurzweil K250 changed all that! With a boot time in milliseconds you now had the full orchestra in your hands within a blink of an eye! All sounds were in ROM and instantly available. Despite the samples were all in mono and almost no velocity layers, they sounded good! And still do! Back then in 1984 you must have been really impressed to say the least! However the Kurzweil K250 was not for everyone as it was slightly expensive, around $12.000 for a basic configuration. However both the Fairlight Series II and Synclavier were way more expensive! So fair enough! How does it sound today you may ask and thats why I did this composition. Needless to say the K250 is mainly designed to play acoustic and orchestral sounds. There are only like 3 Synthesizer sounds in the machine! I used 1 in this track as an intro sound. So don't expect analog synthesizer glory when playing a K250!
The track is called Orchestral Rays and is an original composition by Mr Firechild (October 2025).
The following synthesizers were used for ALL sounds:
