FIRST LOOK DEMO: Electro-Harmonix Stereo Talking Machine pedal

YouTube Uploaded by musicradartv on Jun 28, 2011

"Unveiled at NAMM 2011, the Electro-Harmonix Stereo Talking Machine is one of the most expressive and musical filter stompboxes that we've encountered to date.

To hear the pedal's various sounds in isolation and to check out the full spec, visit the official Electro-Harmonix website.

For the demo track in the video above, we recorded all of the guitar parts straight into GarageBand via POD Farm, with everything but the rhythm section processed by the Stereo Talking Machine. We added a little EQ and ambience but the core guitar sounds were all created using the pedal's preset sounds.

Visit MusicRadar.com for all of the latest product news, video demos and reviews."

"We are a new band called "Loved by Ghosts" which uses almost entirely DIY synthesizers that we built ourselves.

In "Sonic Hysteria", you would certainly recognize the midibox SID while the bass is Monomachine.

In “Girl Go” the bass line is Avr-X Synthesizer, various FX is midibox FM and the lead Oberheim OB-12.

In the other songs - that we will be posting soon - we use: ASM-2, Mutable Instruments Shruthi-1, Pixie (Wasp clone), Monowave(X), MFOS Soundlab, SUB-COMMANDER Guitar Synth, Weird Sound Generator, Drone Lab V2, AVR synth, Gorf Sequencer.
For guitar and voice we use various filters from the web (wasp filter clone, steiner, lm13700 filter, ssm2044, polivoks), fx's built with boards from Jürgen Haible (Frequency Shifter FS-1A, Triple Chorus, Krautrock Phaser and 20-pole Phaser), many vintage Russian fx units, and many electro-Harmonix stompboxes.
All of them are sequenced from an Elektron Monomachine (we love it !!!) and an Electribe sampler is used for drums, created with the same synths.
You will recognize some of them in the pictures. More to come on our Facebook page.

We want to thank you… Thorsten Klose, Laurie Biddulph, Paul Maddox, Ray Wilson, Jürgen Haible, Johan Severinsson and Jonas Karlsson, Olivier Gillet, Peter Edwards, Jarek Ziembicki and to MATRIXSYNTH. Without your projects, our music would be empty.
And special thanks to our pet Speakjet, Wof, Wof.
If you enjoyed our music, follow us on Facebook, YouTube and SoundCloud, there's a lot more to come."

Moog Voyager meets Electro-Harmonix Vocoder

YouTube Uploaded by experimentalsynth on May 4, 2011

"Check out this setup. When using the Voyager's Mixer Out/Filter In jack with a vocoder like this, the vocoder's mic input becomes a portal for injecting rhythm into your Voyager patches. When that rhythm is MIDI Clock Synced, things get really fun, really fast."

Crisis - 'Reactor4'

via Syndrom
"We released an album, "Reactor4" using just analog synthesizers and effects. I have sent you two links to YouTube videos. The album details can be found here:
http://www.syndrom-records.com/reactor4.html"

"'Evakuierung' (excerpt)
This track features a Moog Prodigy processed through a Roland RE-501 Chorus Echo. Some of the distortion on the album were produced with an Electro Harmonix Big Muff pedal. The vocal recording is the evacuation message that was played from loudspeakers during the evacuation of the city near Chernobyl in 1986. It was processed through an A-120 Low Pass Filter from a Doepfer A-100 modular.

'Prypiat'
This track represents the derelict city after the evacuation and chaos is over. The lonely melodic parts are a Moog Prodigy played through the Roland RE-501, with lots of spring reverb. The Moog's envelopes were set with a slow attack."
