There are minor scratches on the sides and bottom, as shown in the photos, but the main faceplate of the synth is in great condition with only small blemishes. Due to the slow refresh rate of the alpha-numeric displays on this synth, some of the later photos in this listing did not capture all of the text, as my camera's shutter speed caught the screens mid-refresh. However, this is just an artifact of the camera image, and the earlier photos in the listing show that all of the displays are working properly despite their age."

"After a long Hiatus, trying to heal up from neck and back injuries that have greatly limited my studio time, I bring you my favorite piece by Sergei Prokofiev, The Love for Three Oranges Op. 33 March. I performed this using only the awesome Oberheim OBX8. At first I thought that I would whiz right through this, but putting all the arrangement down was much more complicated than I originally thought. I believe that I got 99% of the notes correct, but you be the judge. The reference track that I used as a guide for my arrangement was this pipe organ version: [below]

"OBXa in near-mind condition, with Magic Box external midi adapter and custom hard case (orange colour). I say near mint because there's some TINY cosmetic blemishes on the top edge, literally just paint thats been scraped off. No dents, even the paint is still flawless.
many many many hours and $$$ went into restoring the absolute beast of a polysynth. If you think plugins can even come close to this, you've never actually heard one.
-MIDI interface that didnt destroy the case or wood panels ($600USD) ()
-Power supply restored with new capacitors and bridge rectifiers.
-All voice cards completely restored, capacitors (electrolytic and film) replaced, and upgraded with multi turn trimpots.
-Keybed bushings replaced and keys straightened.
-Battery-less storage module installed (synthchaser.com), so no potential for leaky component destroying battery anymore...
Completely calibrated and ready to play. All kinks were ironed out one by one. It is, and I don't say this lightly, the most formidable synth I've ever played.
