Vaemi's new product, the Mini Mixer, is a mono analog mixer with 4 channels and 3.5mm mini jack inputs and outputs, designed for use in stage performances or recordings with all your line and analog equipment.
Each channel features a saturation function, and it has a specially designed jack input for the 4th channel. When the 4th channel and jack input are empty, the mixer’s master output is rerouted to the inputs, creating a "feedback" circuit. This feature allows the sound gain to increase by approximately 6 times, significantly raising the saturation level of the mixer. If an instrument is connected to the 4th channel, the feedback signal is disabled when the jack is plugged in, and the instrument's sound becomes part of the summing. When the channels are muted, the feedback enters self-oscillation.

Rarebeasts EmTronic Mini Synth
Published on May 16, 2020 Rarebeasts
"This is the EmTronic mini synth, it's a super simple Arduino powered noise maker that I have designed to be easy to build and only requires easy to buy parts. This little synth allows you to control frequency, modulation and the waveform of the sound.
The Arduino sketch uses the awesome the_synth library from DZLOnline. The 3d printed front panel finishes off the mini synth but you don't need it to make the sounds. You could even build it on a breadboard if that works for you.
Best of all once you're done it's time to experiment with your own mods to the software to make new crazy sounds and mods to the front panel to really get the look you want.
At some point I will sell few finished EmTronics for those who don't want to make their own so check out my store some time at Rarebeasts.
You can find the EmTronic2020 in my Etsy store here: https://etsy.me/3cHPfg6 or build your own with my Instructable here: https://www.instructables.com/id/EM-T...

Strip board Layout for my module
You can program drums without a sequencer!4. Chasing Diodes - The perfect Distortion Diode Circuit showdown
A clock divider is a module which creates various divisions of an input clock, the rhythmic base of the system.
I built a module using two cute chips:
The CD4040 divides the clock in multiple of 2: 2, 4 ,8 ,16 ,32 ,64 , 128 etc.
The CD4022 is a simple counter. By deciding how far it counts, we can create more interesting divisions, like 3, 5, 6, 7 etc.
Each division triggers a different drum module, which creates a lovely automatic rhythm.

I meet a musician in my studio and he wants to play me a demo from his phone.
I start looking for a cable to connect to the patchbay, only to realize that it's a new iPhone with no analog audio connector.
A friend who builds studio monitor panels told me he started incorporating a Bluetooth input so I decided to add one to my Control 24 console.
I strolled down to Ebay and found a BT 4.0 module, built a steady power supply and connected it to the patchbay instead of the defunct CD player.
It's compressed audio, but hey, it gets the idea across!

"Such a great little compact modular synthesiser that can really surprise with its heavy bass growl. Ive destroyed sound systems at venues performing with this thing.
“Versatile and Robust” as the manual states… You have to hand it to the people at EMS they really knew how to design synths. This one has all the features you need to perform with just this alone and bring the house down, its sliding controls are smooth and intuitive, its internal touch ribbon controller is super fun and you can plug external gear (guitar, voice, drums into the Envelope Follower) to control any or many parameters. The Synthi E was designed for schools and colleges back when education held humanities in high regard, imagine being exposed to modular synthesis as a high school student?!?
A tight little package wrapped in an original Spartanite case which alone is extremely sort after and valuable.
Did I mention that it is battery operated as well? Yes, so you can take it into woods and jam out to nature sounds, set up a mic and your Synthi will play along with the birds. For studio sessions it can be connected to a 12volt DC power source so you can play all night long.
It also comes with and extremely rare 3-octave external keyboard with silky smooth action if you wanted to play it in a more conventional manner. Ive never seen one of these for sale, ever so I doubt there are many out there. Serial # 7137

"WORNG Electronics LRMSMSLR Mid-Side Encoder-Decoder Eurorack Module 'Thonk' DIY KIT Build Steps and Test Patch Video (2018)
Mid/side processing is extremely useful and common practice in mixing and mastering. It allows you to process the Mid Content and Side content of your stereo signal independently. For example, in the patch I used to test my WORNG LRMSMSLR DIY KIT purchased from thonk.co.uk I use the LRMSMSLR Eurorack Module to add AJH GEMINI 2412 Filtering to the Mid content of my stereo signal and only to the Mid Content. At the same time I am adding Fuzz Distortion only to the Side content of the stereo signal by sending the SIDE signal through the Retro Mechanical Labs Electron Fuzz Custom EFCCV Eurorack Module
But that’s just the start, there is a lot you can do with the ability to press Mid and Side content of a stereo signal, the WORNG LRMSMSLR is an extremely useful tool opening up a lot of creative doors.

Published on Jan 18, 2017 Brian Comnes
"Add CV to Alesis ModFX Bitrman. BEcause internal voltages are 0-3VDC, I had to add a simple voltage divider to reduce the sent voltage not to exceed 3 volts. Very simple with a 10K resistor on the + pole jooined by a 15K resistor from the negative pole. Then detach the center pins of the two pots for Bitr and Phasor and rout in the external voltage. Quite simple actually. Enjoy!! Sorry for low volume audio."

Teenage Engineering "Pocket Mixer"... Say What?!
Published on Feb 7, 2016 djthomaswhite
"The demo explains everything really, but to make it quick I made a mixer and sync distribution device to use all 6 currently available Pocket Operators at the same time with an audio mixer and 1/4" out jack. Fun! If you like what you see let me know in the comments. With enough demand I may make these with powder coated case, silk screen and color coded knobs.
For the curious - Technically this is a passive summing mixer with 100K Pots and 10K summing resistors. The sync is simply split from the input jack to the output jacks with one single copper wire. Easy peasy. I will use Log (audio taper) pots in the final design. Pan and stereo outs would be hard without adding active circuitry.
Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. You can do it! Thanks for stopping by to check out another one of my projects captured on video."

Signal path :
VCO1 and VCO2 goes to VCO mixer, there to Moog filter, and there to VCA. Envelope generator 1 controls VCA with sequence triggers from SH101.

The Denum module is essentially a bounds/bounce oscillator. It has the “triangle core” circuitry used in many
oscillators, but it adds a correlated bounds modulation, according to the concept (see below). Here, bounds and
bounce are each given equal treatment, with separate linear and exponential controls and inputs. In addition,
this module has a fully featured bi-polar VCA with complimentary inputs, to get you quickly going sending
“bb-objets” out the left and right channels.
Denum is an 8HP Eurorack module that runs on +12 and -12 volts. Attach power connector positive to “+” and
negative to “-”. Failure to follow proper power polarity will result in instant destruction of unit.
Looking at the front panel of Denum, note that inputs are marked by copper fill. There are three main sections:
bounce, bounds, and the VCA. Bounce is above bounds to emphasize the numerator/denominator relationship
of the two. Each of the two has exactly the same inputs and knobs. The “basis” knob sets the base rate or
position for bounds. There is a linear control input, marked by a a caret. Linear modulation is an alternative
input for pre-enveloped audio, since it has no attenuverter. However, the exponential control input is tied to an
attenuverter, marked by a characteristic bow-tie. An attenuverter works like this: at noon the modulations are
nulled out, they have no effect; clockwise from there they increase in intensity, with positive input meaning
“more”; to the counter-clockwise direction, modulations increase as well, but with negative input meaning
“more”. This knob is essential to controlling how much, and in which direction, your modulations apply.
Between the bounds and bounce areas, there is a range switch. When in middle position, Denum runs at a
standard audio rate. Pointing downward is a low audio rate, and pointing upwards is a definite CV, lowest rate.
The triangle output speaks the position of the waveform in voltage, and square expresses the frequency in terms of
negative and positive 10 volts. The triangle output is bussed into the left and right audio inputs of the VCA,
at bottom. Either can be swapped out for external audio energies, via the “left, right signal inserts”. The “left,
right VCA inputs” are for controlling the amplitude of the signals, with either a linear or exponential mapping. If the
left input is greater than right, sound goes out the “left out”. If right is greater than left, sound goes out the
“right out”. The voltage amount of difference maps to loudness in these channels. The “linear, expo switch”
chooses linear when cocked up, as marked by a caret, and exponential when cocked down, as marked by a
rounded form. There is an optional mute when the switch is in the middle.

Moog Werkstatt-01 World Wide Release and Online Modification & Creative Learning Portal
Werkstatt-Ø1 | P-Thugg Published on Oct 7, 2014
"In this video, Chromeo's Patrick "P-Thugg" Gemayel builds an improvisatory track using only the Moog Werkstatt-Ø1 and a simple drum pattern. The Werkstatt-Ø1 is a patchable, 100% analog synthesizer capable of producing a wide variety of classic Moog sonics. For this track P-Thugg summons vintage Moog basslines, expressive leads and evocative sound effects from the Werkstatt-Ø1, demonstrating the range and flexibility of its painstakingly designed circuits."
"Moog Announces World Wide Release of Werkstatt-01 Analog Synth & Online Modification and Creative Learning Portal
ASHEVILLE, NC – October 7, 2014 – Today Moog announced the official worldwide release of the Werkstatt-01 Analog Synthesizer Moogfest 2014 Kit — a patchable analog synthesizer designed to inspire the exploration and modification of classic Moog circuits while delivering a myriad of vintage and new raw, mangled, and monstrous Moog tones.
This highly-portable instrument is secured in a solid-steel chassis and features a harmonically rich Moog VCO, classic 4-pole Moog Ladder filter, wide-range LFO with audio-rate modulation capabilities, ADS envelope generator, and an analog patchable header for expansive sonic experimentation, manipulation, and decimation. To demonstrate the range and flexibility of Werkstatt's classic Moog sonics, Moog has released a video featuring Patrick "P-Thugg" Gemayel, keyboard player for Atlantic Records’ band Chromeo, building an improvisatory electro funk track using only the Moog Werkstatt-Ø1 and a simple drum pattern (see video link).
Today also marks the launch of WerkstattWorkshop.com (beta) — an interactive creative learning portal containing project ideas, mod tutorials [videos below], parts lists, educational lesson plans, 3D printer files, Arduino integration and control and many other dynamic resources for Werkstatt owners. This microsite also includes Moog’s new and on-going research surrounding the use of subtractive synthesizers in STEM and STEAM high-school classrooms. Lessons in these studies are focused on project based learning opportunities, and encouraging a creative deployment of practical skills in STEM fields. All lessons and associated materials are open source and available online free to educators across multiple disciplines. “Analog synthesizers have long had their own maker culture born of curious engineers, musicians, and hobbyists alike,” said Moog Music CEO, Mike Adams. “Bob Moog got his start at the age of 15 by studying and modifying Leon Theremin’s designs. We’d like to share our legacy of learning, music, and electronics to empower a new generation of makers to expand on our work and take it to levels we can’t yet imagine." Adams said.
In April 2014, the Werkstatt-01 Analog Synthesizer Kit was made available to Engineering VIP ticket holders at Moogfest 2014, Moog's multi-day celebration of technology, art and music. The success of the workshop at the festival prompted Moog to release a limited number of Werkstatt's to select US dealers. Starting today the Werkstatt-01 Analog Synthesizer Kit is available and in stock at all Moog Music dealers worldwide. MSRP of $329US"Workshop tutorial videos followed by more pics below.

WERKSTATT | Photo Sensitive Resistor
"This simple modification adds a photocell resistor to control our VCF. By using a photocell we are able to have functional control over the filter cutoff frequency by simply moving our hand closer or farther away."
WERKSTATT | Pressure Sensitive Resistor
"In this simple mod we will be exploring using various unique resistors to interact with our Werkstatt. We will be using a force sensitive 10k resistor to interact with our VCA."
WERKSTATT | Volume Knob
"We can use the power supply taps provided on the Werkstatt to add a Volume control functionality to our Werkstatt. Having a volume knob may allow players to better integrate the Werkstatt into their setup."
WERKSTATT | Fine Tune
"The Werkstatt comes with a coarse tune potentiometer in the form of the VCO FREQ knob. However, it is sometimes necessary to have a finer control over the VCO tuning. This modification adds a fine tune potentiometer to your Werkstatt."
WERKSTATT | Pitch Bend
"Many popular synthesizers have a pitchbend wheel included for dynamic musical expressions. We will use a 10kΩ SoftPot to emulate the pitchbend wheel and add a fun functionality to our Werkstatt."
WERKSTATT | 2nd Oscillator
"The Werkstatt features a single-oscillator VCO, but by patching and attenuating our keyboard control voltage to our LFO we are able to use the LFO as a second oscillator. This feature is best used to add a lower frequency Triangle or Square wave oscillator to our Werkstatt."
WERKSTATT | Arduino Noise Generator
"A popular synthesizer feature is the noise generator. This noise can be filtered and mixed with our tonal signal to add bite or create percussive sounds. In this mod we will be using an Arduino microcontroller to add a noise generator to our Werkstatt."
WERKSTATT | Arduino Arpeggiator
"An arpeggiator is an electronic instrument feature which takes played chords and cycles through the notes in sequence at a set rate. This modification will add a arpeggiator/sequencer function to your Werkstatt by adding an Arduino micro controller and manipulating minimal code."
WERKSTATT | LFO Quantizer
"Do you want to wobble? Are you all about that bass? Do you want to add face melting to your resume? This mod is for you. Using the Arduino and some code we can create an LFO rate quantizer to sync our keyboard notes to LFO rate settings at a specific tempo."
