1. Heisenberg Zynthian Workstation- Beijing Modular 26
Jarrod from Heisenberg told us about the OFAI Music Workstation and a handmade wooden MIDI controller.2. 30k - Nyoka - Magnetic Field Noise Generator - Beijing Modular 26
The workstation is a custom small Linux-based unit with audio outputs and MIDI. It runs open-source software from the Zynthian platform, with additional presets made by Jarrod. The hardware is a a custom development by the team, and it supports MIDI synths, plug-ins and multi-timbral sequencing.
The wooden controller works as a generic control surface and is not for sale, more just as a DIY project by Jarrod. Parameters are assigned with MIDI Learn, so knobs and buttons can control selected synth or effect parameters. In the demo, a USB MIDI cable connects the controller to the workstation. The system can run drums, hi-hats and riffs on separate tracks, and selecting a track gives access to further parameters. A MIDI latch function holds notes while parameters are adjusted.
The OFAI Workstation is sold in China for 3,700 RMB. The wooden controller is handmade and is not for sale. More Info: https://zynthian.org
Yang from 30K told us about their NYOKA Magnetic Field Noise Generator, a small experimental sound device that turns electromagnetic interference into audio control signals.3. 203 Systems - Mystrix 2 MPE Grid, Cardenza - tiny hackable music computer- Beijing Modular 26
The unit senses magnetic field signals and uses them to modulate an internal oscillator. It can also be played by touch, with fingers routing signals to different points in the circuit. The device includes multiple switches for changing operating modes, selecting oscillator or inductor output, choosing where the magnetic field signal routes, and altering routing inside the oscillator.
The unit runs from USB-C power and outputs audio via a 3.5mm TRS jack. It responds strongly to nearby power sources, with different electrical equipment producing different responses. Yang also mentioned that it works well with external reverb and delay.
The device is available for 229 RMB.
He also showed a magnetic field amplifier with 1000x gain and a small Meow Box synthesizer that produces cat sounds - I mean, why not?
Nengzhuo Cai from 203 Systems had some pretty cool units to show, first up is about Mystrix 2, a wireless MPE grid controller, and two compact music devices. Mystrix 2 is the latest generation and runs its own OS, so applications can be installed directly on the hardware without a computer.4. SPI1: Mini Multi-function Game-style Modules - Beijing Modular 26
Mystrix 2 acts as a MIDI and control-data source. It includes MPE keyboard apps, chord, arpeggiator, scale and custom scale tools, split-screen operation, an eight-track sequencer, clip mode and a mixer. The sequencer supports 16 patterns with 16 steps. It has three full-feature USB-C ports for charging, computer connection or accessory boxes, plus CV and MIDI adapters. A hidden side touch slider supports functions such as strumming.
Next up is *Cardenza, *a $20 open-source ESP32 S3 music computer with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, microphone, SD card, app installation and web coding support. You can run your own programs on it, and even browse the web (assuming you can code your own browser!)
Then the NULLperator is a tiny eight-track tracker with audio I/O, TRS MIDI I/O, microphone, speaker and battery. Mystrix 2 is expected for Kickstarter at around $500, while NULLperator is expected around $300, with free iOS and Android apps available.

We spoke to Lei and the team behind *SPI1*, a compact modular music workstation built around a “micro universe” concept. They explained that the project uses a game-like interface for creating music, with visual design, touch controls and interchangeable hardware modules forming part of the workflow. SPI1 features a square-format touch bar with 12 control keys. Projects can start from blank templates or preset styles, and the system supports user-made templates. The team plans to release an SDK for third-party development, covering modules and internal software. The instrument includes a DSP synth system where timbres are organised as “plants”, with scale selection, generative music modes and four-channel pattern recording. A map-style interface contains sound machines, including chord and wave-based devices. External interaction comes through probes for wind, magnetic signals, audio signals and other inputs. The modular hardware includes interfaces such as joystick, DJ turntable, drum pad, fader and marble-based controllers. An audio sequencer module can trigger external devices and lights. SPI1 is currently a prototype, with a Kickstarter planned for spring next year. Pricing has not yet been confirmed.5. Erica Synths: Graphic Sequencer - Beijing Modular 26
Ģirts from Erica Synths gave us a look at the Graphic Sequencer a new Eurorack module currently in production.6. Theresyn - Beijing Modular 26
The Graphic Sequencer is a compact hub for sequencing and modulation. It has 10 steps (with a planned 16-step expander) plus CV and gate outputs and three modulation outputs. Those outputs support envelopes, delay-based envelope types, user-drawn multistage envelopes, LFOs, random walk, Euclidean sequencing and chord CV duties across multiple oscillators.
Magic mode changes an existing sequence in real time, with controls for note variation, octaves, density, gates and slides. Returning from that mode clears the edit buffer. The Euclidean section works with an 8-channel expander, and hits can be added manually with the encoder.
The module is expected in about a month, priced around €300.
We spoke to Nori about Theresyn, a handmade fully analogue theremin synthesizer. He explained that it uses the familiar theremin approach, with the left hand controlling amplitude and the right hand controlling pitch, but adds extra control and acoustic elements.7. PUFF Eurorack Breath Controller - Beijing Modular 26
Xin then demo'd the pressure-sensitive touch pad, which controls oscillator amplitude and can also trigger an ADSR envelope. Theresyn has two oscillators, with mixing between the theremin voice and an internal oscillator. Antenna tracking can be set to none, partial or full, allowing one oscillator to act as a drone or follow the pitch hand.
The synth also includes selectable waveforms, filter modes including low-pass, resonance, pitch-to-filter tracking and amplitude modulation of the cutoff. Its speaker system includes a front loudspeaker and rear resonating strings, with a pickup for the string output. There is no pitch quantizer, and pitch remains continuous. The pitch range can be tuned to the player's body capacitance.
Theresyn is handmade, available to order from the website, and the full version with bag costs €3,000.
More Info: https://theresyn.com/
We spoke to the team behind Puff V3 about the Puff breath controller project, which began in 2024. They explained that the current wired V2 has the same core functions as the planned V3, while the V3 moves to wireless operation.
Puff converts breath into control voltage for modular systems and synthesizers. It can control pitch, cutoff, resonance and other modulation destinations, depending on the patch. The system supports up to four CV outputs and one MIDI output. USB-C connects to a computer or laptop for MIDI, so it can control software and hardware at the same time.
The controller is held in the mouth, leaving both hands free for instruments such as guitar or piano. The team also discussed a future mouth ring or bite control for sustain-style input. The prototype is built, with release planned for June next year, and the project launches on Kickstarter.

Augur v1.5 Update - more options, more musical, full Push support, self-modulation, and more
video upload by ijo audio
"Augur v1.5 is by far my biggest update I've ever released to one of my devices. Many of you wrote to me with ideas and I've incorporated almost all of them and I think Augur is truly so much better thanks to all your suggestions.
Included in this free update:
Augur can now self-modulate! This means the modulation section can now modulate the parameters of Augur itself. It feels like a very modular concept to be able to feed the modulations back into the various controls of Augur. I particularly enjoy this with the Speed control.
Longer pattern lengths (up to 32 steps).
Longer (slower) sequencer speeds plus new dotted and triplet speeds.
A new Gravity control makes the generative nature of Augur feel less random and more truly in key. (thanks to @HumanSynthetics for his wisdom on this)
As of Live 12.4 we can finally use the modulation mapping section on the Push without using the computer at all. This is very cool and a huge thanks to @Ableton for allowing this to finally happen! My implementation was modeled after the stock LFO device and you can now select any of the 8 mod lanes, map them, adjust them, etc. (You'll need Live 12.4 for this feature to work)"

The Absolute Sequencer Powerhouse. Introducing Behringer BCR32
video upload by Behringer
"The Behringer BCR32 is much more than a MIDI controller with 32 rotary encoders. Join Bartek as he runs us through its powerful hands on sequencing features and shows how the built in Zaquencer can create melodies chords basslines and drums with multiple synthesizers. We really like how immediate the BCR32 feels and how easily it can become the brain of a MIDI or modular synthesizer setup. Let us know what you think about the BCR32 and share your ideas feature requests or bugs at ideas.behringer.com. Check out our other Behringer demos and synthesizer videos to see more gear in action."

USB/MIDI Controller/Sequencer with 32 Multi-Purpose Encoders and Polyphonic 32-Step / 4-Track Zaquencer
BCR32 — THE ZAQUENCER SEQUENCER, NOW WITH 32 KNOBS UNDER YOUR FINGERTIPS
Hardware controllers either give you knobs OR a sequencer. The BCR32 gives you both, in one of the most powerful USB/MIDI control surfaces ever built at this price. Thirty-two multi-purpose encoders. Twenty programmable buttons. A 32-step, 4-track sequencer powered by the legendary ZAQ Audio Zaquencer — the firmware that turned the original BCR2000 into a cult favourite among electronic music producers worldwide.
Every panel element is freely assignable, manually or through an intuitive learn mode. Eight of the 32 encoders are dual-mode with push function. Buttons can act as note on/off, control change, program change, MMC commands or system-exclusive triggers — meaning you can map this thing to literally anything your studio throws at it. Trigger audio clips, drive MIDI instruments, ride DAW automation, or build the entire performance from scratch.
The Zaquencer takes things into another dimension. Mono or polyphonic drum and note tracks, 192 stored patterns each made of 4 tracks, plus 2 independent MIDI controls per track for program change, aftertouch, pitch bend and CCs. Four CV/Gate and Sync connectors lock the BCR32 to modular rigs, drum machines and the analog world. Two assignable footswitch inputs free your hands. A multi-function OLED display, high-visibility multi-colour LED feedback and 4 virtual groups keep complex setups crystal-clear. One MIDI input, two MIDI outputs and a merge function let it double as a USB-to-MIDI interface and cascade with other control units. USB powered, Apple iPad compatible (via Camera Adapter, sold separately), class-compliant for plug-and-play operation. Pure performance power.

Phaseburn One sound demo: everything you hear is one synth [Open Beta]
video upload by Phaseburn Music
"Phaseburn One is a synthesizer built around a phase-locked loop: the main oscillator tracks a reference signal, and whatever you patch into that reference becomes part of the sound. Everything you hear is the plugin on its own, nothing else added.
In the video: the PLL lab, the morphing oscillator and its fold, four step sequencers and four LFOs, the probability sequencer, the mixer and patchbay.
VST3, CLAP, AU and standalone, macOS and Windows, instrument or effect. Free open beta until 15 October 2026.
https://phaseburn.music"
The following is some additional info directly in via Phaseburn Music:
"I want to introduce Phaseburn One, a synthesizer we have been working on for several years, which is now in open beta and free for everyone until 15 October.
The sound is built on a phase-locked loop. One oscillator listens to another and keeps trying to match it, and the interesting part starts where it fails. When it tracks accurately the tone comes out clear and strangely alive, and when the loop is loosened you hear the chase itself: the oscillator catches up with the target, overshoots, breaks off, finds the frequency again, sometimes clinging to a harmonic instead of the note you played. PLLs are not new, they have appeared before as modules and effects, but as far as we can tell nobody has built a whole instrument around one. Four macro dials open the loop by ear, so none of the theory is needed to land somewhere usable.
Three more oscillators sit beside it: Morph, which sweeps between waveform families, a Vector shaping oscillator and a Sub. A transient module can add a click, noise or a metallic edge, or build a kick out of a sine. Around the loop there is a modular patchbay where you draw the cables yourself, a rack of seven effects and a mixer, and almost everything can be modulated from a dedicated section of LFOs and modulation sequencers.

Joranalogue Audio Design / DRONE AND GRIT / eurorack patch
video upload by BRiES
"I was asked once what I use for my drones. The answer is: I don't know. I've been thinking about it ever since, but I don't have a straighforward answer. What I do know is that for this soundscape/drone I used almost all the @joranalogue modules, with exception for the module that I'm sequencing COLLIDE 4 with (Discrete Map by NSI).
There's a lot of interesting tricks in this patch:
I used crossmodulation on the phase parameter between the two GENERATE 3s. The intensity is set by modulating the vcas for the harmonic inputs.
CYCLE 2 is doing some gated cycling, activated by an output of ORBIT 3 with an offset from BIAS 2.
ENHANCE 2 is creating a balanced stereo image from two inputs: the dry signal patched to the MID input and the delayed signal (DELAY 1) patched to the SIDE input.
COLLIDE 4 output stage is used to slightly slew the melody for the main drone while the input stage is used as a pinged filter with some amplitude modulation.
CYCLE 5 is used as a dirty subbass... It's both getting synced by one of the G3s as receiving some fm from the other G3. FILTER 8s resonance is begin modulation as well as its frequency.
ORBIT 3 is used for all the modulation.
One of ORBIT 3s outputs is routed through FOLD 6 to create a more intense modulation for the time parameter on DELAY 1."

Minimal Audio Current 50 Atmospheric Arp Presets. Sound Demo
video upload by Anton Anru
✨ "Dreaming Motion" is a bank of 50 Arp Presets for Minimal Audio Current 2, combining warm analog-inspired sounds with soft and airy atmospheres.
The collection moves between retro synth character, subtle analog imperfections, dreamy textures, and spacious evolving arpeggios, giving the bank both nostalgic and modern sides.
📦 The download link: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/curr...
👤 The author of the soundset is Ilian.
🎛️ Each preset features 4 Macros for shaping the sound, while the Modwheel adds additional movement and expression.
The macros are a significant part of the soundset. They can change tone, stereo width, modulation depth and rate, noise level, distortion, detuning, space/echo/reverb, effects mix, envelope parameters, and others.
You may control them via MIDI controller, use them for automation, or map the macros to your DAW modulators like LFO, Shaper, and others.
đź“» The patches are perfect for Electronica, Synthwave, Ambient, IDM, Downtempo, Melodic Techno, Chillout, and experimental electronic music.
🎹 All Arps are designed in either C Major or C Minor, following Current 2’s tonal Arp system. This makes the presets easy to use while keeping their harmonic character consistent. You can change the Scale in the lower right corner of the synthesizer to the one used in your track.

ECHOA STEREO DUAL DELAY AND REVERB PROCESSOR
Four delay lines total — two per stereo channel. Morph delay into reverb from first principles, from clean digital delay to smeared, textured reflections. Route the four lines in series, parallel, isolation, or spectrally. Presets, parameter lock on every pot, character engines, and more.
TIME
Delay time from 1 ms to 16 seconds, up to four taps per delay line, configurable for your sound design. Feedback up to and past unity, and a dry/wet mix per channel. Freeze delay buffers, set tempo with tap on the line buttons, or patch a clock and lock each line to a musical division. Linear or logarithmic time taper options: a full featured, clean delay line.
SPACE
Bend echoes into reverb. Diffusion sweeps a four-stage Schroeder all-pass network from discrete repeats to a wash. Bloom grows short, fixed loops into long modulated plate and hall tails. Damping is bipolar from noon — counter-clockwise darkens the tail, clockwise thins and brightens it.
ENGINE
Degrade each line's voice across with four engines — digital, BBD, tape, vinyl. Saturation, bandwidth limiting, compander, wow and flutter, hiss, crackle, digital glitches. Depth scales from bit-pristine bypass, to a gentle touch of character, to destruction.
CONFIGURABLE FOR PERFORMANCE ROUTING
Parallel, series, mono, or spectral delay-line topologies.
CV MAPPING
Per-CV destination, with attenuverters on every input.

Drift DJ Industries Unveils Zero Pocket-Sized Mixing, Playback and Recording Device
video uploads by Drift DJ Industries
Press release follows:

Drift DJ Industries Unveils Zero, a pocket-sized mixing, playback and recording device for djs and electronic musicians
CHICAGO, April 13, 2026. Drift DJ Industries announces Zero, a palm-sized, battery-powered, all-in-one audio mixing, performance and recording system. With its portability and instant-on playability, Zero’s standalone 2-deck DJ system empowers DJs to break outside of the booth and bring their sound to any space. Through it’s DAWless and hybrid DJ-oriented external device sync, audio signal mixing, deep routing configuration and built-in recorder, Zero collapses key functions into a single machine, reducing the amount of hardware required to craft any sound.
Zero: Portable DJ, DAWless, Mixing and Recording
Big-Rig DJ-Features in the Palm of Your Hand
Don’t be fooled by Zero’s small size. Its robust feature set includes DJ-quality time-stretching, dedicated headphone cues, filters and FX for each playback deck. With physical controls organized in a familiar-two channel DJ mixer layout, our device is perfect for DJs who want to forgo larger laptop and controller-based setups while retaining the tactile feedback not found on mobile apps. Leave the cables and power supplies at home. Never get a meeting invite in the middle of a mix.
Compact Machine with DAW-Like Powers
Zero’s wildly-flexible signal routing UI lets users control every link in the signal path. Glue together any collection of music-making gear by routing signals from aux busses and the decks between the analog and USB I/O ports.
For example: Route audio from a Dirtywave M8 and a Roland S-1 into Zero’s analog input ports, and individually trim and EQ each device. Bus those signals together and send/return to a Hologram Chroma Console. Route that signal into the crossfader to mix the effected M8 and S-1 sound with the DJ decks. Add an OXI E-16 and map individual knobs to the M8 and S-1 bus’s post-fader, EQ controls and bi-modal filter cutoff (input control mapping is slated for post-launch release). Record several minutes of knob-tweaking as a .wav file to Zero's internal storage. Re-import that .wav file, add cuepoints and a beatgrid, and loop and layer it in with other inputs and DJ playback.
Built to Evolve
Zero is a new hardware platform and a custom Linux distribution running front-end software from our own publicly-available open source SDK. It ships with the DJ playback, library, external sync, signal routing and recording features, and it includes on-device software management for easy install of future updates. Planned updates include control input mapping, video output for streamers, third-party library support (including rekordbox and Engine DJ) and accessibility features. It fits in a fanny pack, but Zero will develop new capabilities by the truckload.
See our device specs and release roadmap for more info.

Nymira, by Terraphones
video uploads by Terraphones
"Nymira is a standalone harmony instrument designed around the circle of fifths. Its sonic engine draws from the overtone series, offering detailed timbral control across seven individual partials. Two distinct models explore different synthesis methods; one rooted in additive FM synthesis, the other in classic subtractive design. Together, they provide a new, expressive way to shape rich and complex harmonic textures."

"Nymira is a standalone harmony instrument designed around the circle of fifths. Its sonic engine draws from the overtone series, offering detailed timbral control across seven individual partials. Three distinct models explore different synthesis methods; one rooted in additive FM synthesis, another in classic subtractive design, and one based on granular synthesis. Together, they provide a new, expressive way to shape rich and complex harmonic textures.
Nymira is the only instrument in the world that maps the Circle of Fifths to a physical interface. Nymira is designed with Western harmonic theory at the core, allowing you to discover beautiful chord progressions that are much harder to play on other instruments.
Like all Terraphones, Nymira is assembled by hand, and is housed in solid walnut. Underneath Nymira’s keys are Cherry MX Silent Red keyswitches that offer a clean, tactile experience. With the ability to run on four rechargeable AA batteries, Nymira lets you play anywhere. Inside Nymira are two surface transducers that turn the walnut enclosure into a speaker of its own. Playing Nymira in this mode allows you to hear its warm sonic engine played through the walls of its walnut housing. Nymira also excels in the studio. It is equipped with USB MIDI out, and a stereo 1/4" audio output. If you don’t want to use batteries, Nymira can be powered via USB-C with any device that supplies 4-17 volts.
~~~
Nymira is made by Thomas Adam Billings, the sole creator of Terraphones. Every part of Nymira is ethically sourced, assembled by hand, with solid walnut sourced and milled in the United States of America. By purchasing Nymira, you are directly funding the ongoing research and development of a new wave of natural, electroacoustic musical instruments.
GLT Audio PM-80 Yamaha CS-80 MIDI Controller
via GLT Audio
For many musicians, owning a CS-80 synthesizer is a dream that’s out of reach - both financially and in terms of required maintenance. While today’s VST replicas sound remarkably close, the true spirit of the CS-80 only comes alive when you have all controls at your fingertips. That’s why GLT Audio created the “Poor Man’s CS-80” — the PM-80, featuring 75 dedicated faders and a ribbon controller, offering an inspiring hands-on experience.75 silk-smooth faders
30 cm ribbon controller
6 high quality waveform toggle switches
Slim table-top metal enclosure
Well connected
Power and MIDI-out over USB-C
MIDI-out over 3.5mm jack
Expression pedal input (converts to MIDI)
CV and Gate out, assigned to the ribbon controller
Magnetic overlays to play other virtual instruments
Use cases
Map the PM-80 to your favorite CS-80 VST, such as Cherry Audio's GX-80, Softube's Model 77, Arturia's CS-80 V, Xils Lab's The Eighty, Morphoice's Unstable or Memorymoon ME80.
Use the PM-80 for other VSTs, by adapting it's parameters using magnetic labels.
Control a virtual audio mixer. (eg. 24 x level, 24 x pan, 27 faders for effects)
Control hardware directly in a DAWless setup, using the MIDI DIN output (even allowing SysEx on customized firmware).
Connect to your Eurorack: the ribbon controller outputs to CV and Gate.
As a powerful generic MIDI controller, the PM-80 can even be used for applications like DMX light control and VJing.
A.I. Experiments: The Infinite Drum Machine
video upload by Google for Developers
"Check out https://g.co/aiexperiments to learn more.
Sounds are complex and vary widely. This experiment uses machine learning to organize thousands of everyday sounds. The computer wasn’t given any descriptions or tags – only the audio. Using a technique called t-SNE, the computer placed similar sounds closer together. You can use the map to explore neighborhoods of similar sounds and even make beats using the drum sequencer. http://g.co/aiexperiments
Built by Kyle McDonald, Manny Tan, Yotam Mann, and friends at Google Creative Lab. Thanks to the London Philharmonia for contributing some sounds to this project. t-SNE animation featured in video by Gene Kogan.
Introducing GForce MAP
video upload by GForce Software
GForce MAP Walkthrough
"More info at https://www.gforcesoftware.com/produc...
Born from the lineage of Serge©, Buchla©, and modular synthesis, MAP reimagines the fearless experimental spirit of the 1970s for today’s creators. Blending vintage character with modern innovation, MAP is a sound design playground for artists who see synthesis not as programming, but as exploration.
At its core, MAP features three powerful oscillators, a dual-filter architecture, and a deep modulation system with MPE support. Every sound invites hands-on discovery—from shimmering tones and gritty textures to sprawling ambient soundscapes.
