"This JP-8 comes with some unknown MIDI mod (with MIDI in/out/thru) and there are also a couple of toggle switches on the left (between the "Volume" and "Master Tune" knobs) labeled "VCA" and "VCF" (I'm not entirely sure what these do but flicking the "VCA" switch up seems to very marginally increase the loudness of the sound). There is also a little red button next to the power switch and till today, I still haven't figured out what exactly it does (some kind of soft reset or something? perhaps some of you might know?). I have been using it with my computer sequencer hooked to a MOTU MIDI Express and they work fine together. "

I'd just finished up another summer of prototyping some Thomas Henry designs, and the MultiPhase project was lying fallow in a cardboard box awaiting reactivation. Breadboards with forgotten projects mounted to them were strewn about like so much collateral damage. I was having a hard time finding anything. I got it into my head to reorganize my shop and take inventory of what I had on hand, and to put these parts in places I was sure to be able to find them handily."

On the AM060: "This module is a clone of the Roland Jupiter 6 voltage controlled filter which comprises two 2-pole OTA filters in series, and was launched in 1983. Each 2-pole filter can be switched into either Low Pass or High Pass modes providing three VCF modes all with variable resonance:

YouTube via genxtargetmarket — March 31, 2010 — "The Blacet Binary Zone (BZ) is providing the note sequence and the clock. The clock goes to the Blacet Frequency Divider and is divided by 2. This then goes to the Metalbox Dual AD. the Dual AD's output is plugged into the ASol CVM's Gate Input. The BZ goes directly into the CV1 input on the CVM. The note sequence and Gate information are converted to MIDI Channel 2 and then they go to the Rozzbox One V2. This is about as simple as can be.

This is a prototype unit but it seems to be working great right away. Thus, it should be available really soon."
