Roland JX-3P with Organix MIDI Mod

via this auction
"The synth has the organix midi modification installed. All parameters are now controlable and recordable via mid cc comands. For more infos see here": "The JX-3P was one of the first synthesizers with MIDI. The sounds can be edited from the frontpanel and with a PG-200 programmer. One of the biggest disadvantages is that the MIDI functionality is very limited. No SysEx or CC support was implemented. It is impossible to edit the sounds via MIDI. The second disadvantage is that the PG-200 programmer and the MIDI-IN can not be used simultaneously.

To solve these shortcomings, a JX-3P MIDI Expansion kit is designed."

Lexicon LXP-5 & MRC

YouTube via futility1981 | July 14, 2010
The lexicon is for sale.
"Quick demo of the LXP-5 processing a Korg KR-55... with live tweaking on the MRC programmer. I just demonstrated the main delay and reverb in the delay/reverb algorythm. The pitch shifting is great too, and you can 'play' the pitch shift with MIDI notes. Great box, sad to see it go after so many years especially now that it's getting the 'retro-vintage' cred. Audio could be better, I used a line output from the LXP-5 (it's hiding under the KR-55, behind the MRC) to the mic input of the camcorder and reduced the output level. Better than the built in mic & speakers like most YouTube demos!"

"The module format follows the industry standard (synthesizers.com/Moog/Curetronic/Mos-Lab etc.)
Uses 1/4" Jacks -- Module Size: 2 unit space

Modules work with supply voltages of -12...-15 Volts/+12...+15 Volts

Two power connectors are on-board (synthesizers.com/Club of the Knobs), Threshold voltage of the trigger inputs is +1 Volt.

The modules are ready to be used: insert the module, connect the power plug, attach with a couple of screws and the fun starts...

Voltage Control Voltage to Midi Converter module enables the user to integrate modern midi- and even computer-generated instruments and effects into his modular environment.

Control your midi-equipment from your analog sequencer or from other control voltage generating devices.

This module features four input pairs for control voltages (0-10 volts) and gate signals to be transformed into midi-compatible control data.

Each input pair can be indepentently transformed into one the following types of midi data:

– Note-on/note-off
– Velocity (combined w/note-on)
– Pitch bend
– Modulation wheel (CC1)
– Breath controller (CC2)
– Pedal (CC4)
– Volume (CC7)
– Panorama (CC10)
– Special (CC20)

Voltage Controlled Envelope Generator
in typical ADSR-Style with five voltage controlled parameters. Control voltage inputs with associated attenuator knobs for attack time, decay time, sustain level and release time and envelope amplitude.

The input jack for the amount of contour control is internally connected to +10 volt if nothing is patched. The time parameters range from 1 ms to approx. 20 s (at full modulation).

A gate button allows for manual triggering the envelope. Trigger threshold of the gate input is ca. 1 volt, positive edge.

The time control voltage inputs are “chained“: i. e. a control voltage in the „attack“-input controls the inputs D, and R as well, if there is nothing else patched. Control range is 0-10 volts, higher control voltages give longer envelope times.

Two LEDs serve as indicator lamps for ’gate pulse present‘ and for the envelope output.

Two envelope outputs serve as normal (0 to 10 volts) and inverted (0 to -10 volts) outputs."

Moon Modular 563 V2 Trigger Sequencer

via Noisebug on Ebay

"The module format follows the industry standard (synthesizers.com/Moog/Curetronic/Mos-Lab etc.)

Module Size: 4 unit space

Manufacturer Description:
Eight step/four row Trigger Sequencer

with built-in clock-oscillator. The 32 switches (with associated LEDs) have three positions each: gate-on, gate-off and reset.

Switch-on time (adjustable width of the gate pulse) is independently variable for each of the four busses.

Two buttons to shift and reset the trigger position manually (all four rows); two buttons with associated trigger inputs to start and stop the internal oscillator. One input to reset the sequencer to position 1 via trigger pulse. Four independent trigger inputs, one for each bus.

The jacks are „switched“, so that, if e. g. only input 1 is used, inputs 2/3/4 are affected as well. If none of the sockets is used, the built-in clock oscillator is active. Four trigger/gate-outputs for the four rows of switches."

Kenton Pro-2000 MKII Multi Channel MIDI - CV Converter

via Noisebug on Ebay

For the price, this really is the best value converter on the market, anywhere. The versatility of this unit is awesome. Just look at the specifications below.

Analogue Solutions EUROPA Analog MIDI Desktop Sequencer

Moog Bode Frequency Shifter model 6552 Owned by Walter Sear

via this auction

"This auction is for a super-rare rack mount Bode Frequency Shifter Model 6552 by R.A Moog. This is from the personal collection of Phil Cirocco of CMS / Discrete Synthesizers. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a rare piece of electronic music history.

This is serial #1001 and is the very first Frequency Shifter produced by R.A. MOOG. This particular 6552 was once owned by the great Walter Sear. It features ring modulator diodes that were hand selected by Harold Bode himself! It is listed in the Moog Archives http://moogarchives.com/ on the left menu select: "lists and charts", then: "custom sales" then: "frequency shifter".

There were 2 major incarnations of frequency shifters made by Moog/Bode. The first one (model 6552) is the one you see here. It is all discrete and uses actual diode rings and transformers for its ring modulator circuits. The second version (model 1630) is an op-amp chip version that uses balanced modulator ICs for its RM circuits. The second version, while being more convenient, does not sound anything like the first version.

I can say with confidence that you will never see one of these for sale again in your lifetime.

This Frequency Shifter is in excellent condition. There are no scratches on the front panel. It is #1 out of a known total of 11 units made. It was made by R.A. Moog under contract with Harold Bode. It is all original and functions perfectly. It is NOT a clone and it has a valid serial number and pedigree. It was recently calibrated here at CMS. It uses terminal strips in the back as all early Bode rack mount units do, so you will have to use a patch-bay nearby."

This one in via Keld.

Update via Michelle Moog-Koussa: I heard from Michelle Moog-Koussa, Bob Moog's daughter and Executive Directory of The Bog Moog Foundation. She stated, "I'm 99% sure that the model number and serial number are written in Dad's handwriting.

This piece was issued on August 21, 1968. Thirty-seven years later to the day the frequency of the whole electronic music community would shift as Bob's body left us......."
