"vintage Yamaha SY-1 Analog Synthesizer from 1974. Yamaha's first synthesizer! The SY-1 is a preset synthesizer. However it has a great deal of sliders and knobs which allow you to shape the sounds to your liking."
"This auction is for one 1980s vintage Roland Juno 60 analog polyphonic synthesizer and accessories lot. Auction includes the following:
---Roland Juno 60, very fine cosmetic and perfect functional condition ---Roland MD-8 midi<->DCB interface in very good cosmetic and perfect functional condition
---Roland MSQ-700 midi/DCB sequencer in excellent cosmetic and functional condition, photocopy of manual
---Roland OP-8 CV interface, 8 channel CV/Gate to DCB converter in average cosmetic and excellent functional condition
---one DCB cable (~6-10 feet)
---one Roland power cable (to use with either the MD-8 or MSQ-700, the others have attached power cables
All gear is 117V North American model, if you live in a country with different voltage requirements, you'll need a transformer.
This lot should allow you to do just about whatever you want with the Juno 60.... use the MD-8 to control it via a computer sequencer, or use the MSQ-700 as a standalone sequencer, or hook up the OP-8 to use your analog sequencer with the Juno, etc. You could even just use the OP-8 and MSQ-700 to record CV sequences into midi, then take them into the other room and dump into your computer. You can only use one DCB accessory at a time with each other as each unit only has one DCB port."
via this auction "The Roland MSQ-700 was the worlds first MIDI sequencer. It is an 8 track sequencer that can hold 6500 notes. Has part mode and song mode and can also do overdubs.
It also has a DCB port for sequencing the Jupiter 8 or the Juno 60. Sadly, it cannot sequencer both MIDI and DCB at the same time, only one of the other.
BUT...
One of the coolest things it does is to sync MIDI clock to Roland's proprietary DINSync24 for all your XOX boxes (TR-808, 909, 303, 606, etc). You can step sequence your 808 and then lock its sequencer to your computer's MIDI clock and have perfect timing between the drum machine and your host sequencer (Logic, ProTools, DP, Live, etc). This is primarily what I used the MSQ for.
The removable 2 prong Roland power cord has been replaced with a hard wired 3 prong power cable."
via this auction "The MIDI Out connector allows the keyboard to control external MIDI equipment. You can of course use the 25 internal FM sounds. It has its own speaker but it also sounds great attached to an amp or hi-fi. Also features 25 internal drum rhythms. You play the keyboard with your right hand and bend and modulate notes holding the neck with your left - just like a guitar. You can use the Pitch Bend Wheel, or trigger Vibrato, Portamento or Sustain with your left hand."
"'approach' referring to Vangelis method of recording/composing/performing. First section is based on the track "horizon" , the second section is my own little comp. inspired by the first part. I read somewhere that Vangelis would improvise and record different pieces of music at nemo , then "stitch" them together in the recording process, knowing exactly what he wanted to achieve as the end result. He really is the master at it. Here I played live as much as possible, then added some extra little phrases after on a multitrack. A much more enjoyable way of making music than fiddling with a computer:) Remember Vangelis did not have midi when he recorded some of his most beautiful pieces of music. I hope this inspires anyone thinking of starting music production"
"Here's a simple audio-visual comparison between the raw oscillator sounds of two Moog synthesizers from different millenia. Notice how the Phatty is a bit more smooth around the edges while the Rogue is more true to the older / original Moog sound as in for instance the Minimoog Model D."
"Modcan 46&62B oscillators are sequenced by 2 Klees. A Modcan 69B Scanner switches between 4 different gate buses.
Blacet Binary Zone as Sub-Octave Divider
Modcan 12dB LPF as Bass Drum
Wiard Noise Ring as Clock (and VCF Mod)
also starring The Livewire Frequensteiner and BugBrand PTDelay"

"Hello ! My name is Frederic Gerchambeau. I have made this movie. This is a piece of music played microtonally in 19 equal divisions of the octave (19-EDO). It has been made with Plogue Bidule, acting as two sequencers, and two Electro-Harmonix (EHX) MicroSynths, acting as sound sources. Enjoy ! http://www.myspace.com/fredericgercha..."

"This procedure demonstrates a repeating set of ascending MIDI note numbers programmed into a Track (Steps 1-16) of the Schaltwerk. The corresponding voltage values are shown on the HP 3440A nixie tube display. The HP 120B oscilloscope displays resultant waveforms of the MS-20 audio out via Roland RE-101. Schaltwerk MIDI note information is converted to CV (and Hz/octave) at the Kenton Pro Solo Mk II for the MS-20.

"World Trade Center Promo Video
In 1990 a promotional video for Enjoy the Silence was shot by French TV featuring Depeche Mode lip-syncing the song while standing atop the World Trade Center at the WTC rooftop World observatory.
"Synthi AKS sequence altered with speed dial & transposition pads on KS keyboard. Synthi A also sequenced by the Doepfer MAQ16/3 (@1v/oct) ...Thanks to Vy Fie on MAM VF11 vocoder...& Marie Beau-Chez on vocals...with a thank you to my mates at the Beijing Drum Tower for letting me film them. Now this is my how to video, in this case its HOW TO BE HAPPY. In my search for happiness I noticed one thing always stood in my way... my brain... with its endless tape loops, some as old as several decades, playing over and over... from parents, siblings, spouses, teachers, tv talkingheads, & don't forget my own tape loop voice, beating myself up from time to time... my mind though, that's OK... the mind is tuned to the nonverbal OM of the universe. I'm better off operating out of that corner of the galaxy. Yeah, shut that brain up....Empty Your Brain & the Mind Will Come"
Don't forget to take the poll and check back on the numbers. At this point 517 votes are in for the first poll on whether you would buy new modules. An interesting side note is Moog made the original MF-104 Delay pedal limited to only 500 units. Just something to think about.
