MFB KULT Vintage 80's Analog Drum Machine SN 07408

via this auction

"A rare opportunity to bid or buy a unique little modern beat box from MFB.

Not only packed with all the classic drum sounds with editable attack and release (decay), it also has a 16 step pattern sequencer with preset and user patterns, which works similarly in programming as that of the Boss DR-55.

It is nice condition and has been used in my smoke free home studio environment. For full disclosure, everything is working like it should, however, the level/parameter dial can be very slightly jumpy depending on how you turn it (ie, it will sometimes skip over a value or two). In practice, it's not really an issue as the sounds are mapped over several octaves and can be selected by MIDI, which is how you'll trigger the unit anyway. I just noticed it as I was going through the samples one by one using the unit itself without a MIDI keyboard to go through the sound banks (16 banks of 12 sounds) and record some samples when I had the unit on to take pictures (eg, 1211 = bank 12 sound 11). It wasn't a problem going through the parameter values, which have only 15 steps..."

Oberheim OB-Xa SN 820827 with MIDI Upgrade

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction - learn how to sell on eBay here

"Great cosmetic and perfect working condition this oberheim ob-xa synth has been professionally fitted with a real world interfaces midi interface which handles midi in and out, channel and splitmode data. Channels selected by the keyboard keys. The synth is a kult analogue polysynth with 8 voices and 16 oscillators.

Its a very powerful instrument sonically and with midi control its possible to use it as a midi controller keyboard as well as a 2 part analog sound module and it's a late model with patch memory of 120 programs or patches.

You can use double mode to double the patches and create very complex waveforms. Its a super musical synth with autotune function to keep it in tune. This synth has just been carefully restored with the keyboard completely overhauled new key bushings and lubricant. The keys realigned and j-wire triggers adjusted carefully for use as an accurate midi controller. with the RWI midi upgrade one button and switch have been added to the front panel to turn midi on and off and select modes, channels & functions as a panic button. Wood ends have some scratches but look good. Front panel some light scuffs and scratches but nothing that detracts significantly from the impressive machine."

MFB Kult Drum Machine with Original Box

"This thing is called the Kult for a reason... if you own any one drum machine, this should be it! Very low numbers of these were produced, and these don't come up for auction very often on account of being so wickedly amazing, raw, punchy, and flexible.
The MFB-KULT is a TRUE classic!

Sounds of 25 drumcomputers from the Eighties
192 sounds on 4 MIDI channels
Digital signal processor
Programable ATTACK time
Programable RELEASE time
Programable VOLUME
Programable PANORAMA

From MFB: 'On the occasion of MFB's 25th anniversary, we are proud to announce something special. Since 1979 four rhythm machines were developed and produced: MFB-301, MFB-501, MFB-512 and MFB-612. In Germany these devices are very popular, since the inexpensive machines contained interesting rhythms for rock musicians. MFB digitized some of these sounds, and a multiple sounds of other far common rhythm machines. All these samples are packed into the memory of the MFB-KULT. The 192 sounds are divided in 16 sets, whereby each set contains 12 sounds. Since not every each rhythm machine had 12 sounds, a set consists of sounds of up to three rhythm machines. On a keyboard each set has one octave, so that a 4 octave keyboard or each MIDI channel has four sound sets.

309 Vs. Audio Damage Tattoo Techno Industrial Ableton Jam

YouTube via statikfire
"A little jam out with some friends. Quasimidi 309, Audio Damage Tattoo, and RY-30 all behaving as drum machines. Some additional walks and FX by Dave Smith Evolver MEK, and Clavia Nord Lead (Original). Filmed by my lovely wife Diane. MP3 available upon request. The AD tattoo is able to do A LOT more than what I am using it for here, but hey, it's another drum machine and I love it. I'll get fancy another day. Samples (stock on 309) remind me of Thrill Kill Kult."
