"I broke my rules and connected my DIY-Analog-Modular System
with the Digital world. I bought a Polyend Poly-2 Midi to Multiple Gate/CV
converter and experimented with different ways driving my Modular-System.
Each Midi-Channel can drive one Synth in its Gate and CV so i could program
a polyphonic example including different analog-Drums, analog groove-Synths,
a String-Synth and a Bass-Synth. I took my old Asus Eee-PC and worked with
the good old Voyetra-Dos Sequencer in a DOS-Box under Windows7 32bit
(DOS only wouldnt work with the Polyend over USB)"

A live, semi-improvised performance, all on hardware, and inspired by some pretty tough news that has me sentimental.

I loved the Elektron Analog Four MkII so much that I picked up the Analog Rytm MkII. My feelings on the Rytm are mixed. On the one hand, it's missing that spontaneity and spark of units like the Arturia DrumBrute Impact and Teenage Engineering OP-Z, with no readymade performance effects, roller bar, or global randomization, and a slower workflow. On the other hand, I really like its analogue sound engines, any unused tracks can be converted into impressive analogue mono synths, it does beautiful things to samples, and like all Elektron boxes it integrates the effects into the sequencer really nicely.

As for the Vermona PERfourMER MkII, I'd been pining over it for ages, and it was fun to finally tinker with it. The Perfourmer definitely excels in the mid- and high- range, and I love how the independent voices making really interesting voices for chords.

Polyend Seq & Poly Midi And Eurorack Sequencer System

"Polyend's Seq is an 8 track 32 step sequencer where you can see all of the steps at once for quick editing. When connected to the Poly module you can convert the Seq's 8 channels of midi into CV controls for your eurorack modular synthesizer. Each track of the sequencer has independent clock division and direction controls. There are other options like rolls and micro timing as well.

The drums in this video come from the Endorphin.es Blck_Noir with some synthesis voices from the Noise Engineering Manis Iteritas and Erica Synths Pico Voice. Everything is mixed together with Warm Star's Fragment utility module."
