"I bought myself a Chase Bliss Blooper, waited patiently for it to arrive and.... oh boy, is it NICE!

This is the first thing I made with it. It's a single take of building things up from nothing... all sequences are made in realtime.

It’s a 6 bar looping phrase starting with a Yamaha Reface CP being recorded into a clock sync’d (b)looper

From there the Novation SL MKIII does all the heavy lifting with some sequencing and hardware control

SL MKIII is sequencing/controlling the:
Octatrack
Roland TR-08
Roland SH101
Rossum Electro Assimil8or (via cv.ocd)
Beatsqueezer
and… a tastey summit patch from lightbath

Later on more loops are added to the Blooper which are then left to “crumble” at the end

A lot of fun for only 6 bars worth of music"

Channel Operations Menu

When on the Channels page, double-click the DATA1 encoder to bring up a popup menu containing channel operations:

Cancel: Pretty self-evident

Explode (2-8): Automatically duplicates the current channel’s sample into the selected number of channels and sets the sample and loop start and end points to successive even fractions of the entire sample. So, in effect, divides the sample into “x” equal hunks and automatically assigns them to successive channels. Great for splitting precisely edited loops into individual beats or phrases and accessing them on a channel by channel basis. It works on multiple zones simultaneously and also edits the right side if the sample is stereo.

We used the LZX Escher Sketch as a control interface for the vectors. The sounds are generated in the eurorack case by a Rossum Assimil8or sampler for drums and a Harvestman Piston Honda MK3 for synthesizer sounds. A Strymon Magneto provides delay and reverb.

Thriller performed on a Eurorack System!

"To get in the Halloween spirit this year, Alex aka Nasty Nachos decided to do a fun cover of Michael Jackson's Thriller using a Eurorack Modular Synthesizer System and a Juno-106.

All melodies were sequenced via MIDI files programmed into the Squarp Pyramid. Drums were sequenced via our Trigger Sequencer Prototype, METRON.

Notable modules:
The bassline is 2 WMD/SSF Spectrum Oscillators mixed into a Rossum Evolution ladder filter.

The Lead is a WMD Synchrodyne with expander.
