Modular Day 4x PEG Patch

YouTube Published on Jul 3, 2012 by josepailo

"Hey all. Modular madness. 4 Pingable Envelope Generators being controlled by and SCM and Breakout. The tone sources are two VCOb from Bubblesound, and the Generator from Pittsburgh Modular. The filter is WMD uHC with a Optomix, and the VCAMatrix controlling the mixing. There is also a Doepfer a-143-1 at the bottoms as the AD generator."

Waldorf Q+ Ruby Red for Auction

via eBay UK

The is the Q+ with 16 full analog filters and up to 100 note polyphony. Via the listing: "Bought this one from a guy in Germany a few years back, unfortunately, it got damaged in transit to me - one of the end cheeks got dented hence the Walnut ends. At this time, I took the opportunity of sending it back to Waldorf who carried out a full service and performed the 'clock modification' - Waldorf's can be buggy and this mod was designed to stabilise various 'issues' with the Q+, which largely, it does. You won't find a more stable unit than this one, that said, you do get the occasional effects freeze, (the effects section on the Q turns itself on with a subtle delay/echo effect- you don't notice it unless you look for it and happens rarely) which is rectified by a quick re-boot but it's never been a problem, again, lots of stuff on the net about it."

"You can see that not only "PEEWW" sounds can be done with this percussion synth.
This unit is modified, the OSC 1 can track the V/oct CV, you can play it in tune with any keyboard or system that can send CV.
Very rare unit with lot of sounds very analog and electronic feeling.
This unit is for auction at:" this auction

"Very rare percussion synthesizer with lot of analog and very electric sound.

This unit was deeply restored and it is in perfect operating conditions. All of the sliders were opened and dry-cleaned from its inside. They are like new ones.
In the repairing tasks some critical electronic components were changed as a preventive action.

The "Tune" input is originally intended to use with a pedal as external tune control, so it uses a stereo jack (tip-ring-sleeve format) with the "ring" contact as hot pin. However, and since this unit is provided without that pedal, that jack was modified to be used as an external voltage control, with the "tip" contact as voltage input, so you can use a standard mono plug to feed it.

The Syncussion VCO's are not exactly intended to be used from a standard 1volt/octave control voltage. Nevertheless, and since the Tune input modification allows to connect an external CV control, at least the Channel 1 section has been calibrated to play it tonally from a 1V/octave mono keyboard control output.

The character of the Pearl Syncussion resides on its very unusual design on the VCO's and VCF's. It uses a non-standard structure, at least the typical structure found on a regular 1V/octave VCO with temperature compensation, so they has a very rough and non-lineal behavior (despite the modification on the CH 1 section).

The wooden cabinet is not exactly in collector's state. It has some scratches on its painted surface (see the pictures) but it is the only minus of this unit.
The two rotary knobs (Osc modes) are not the original ones.
Nevertheless, the front panel are in perfect conditions, there are not a single scratch on it or in the serigraphy prints.

Its serial number is 509467"
