Audio Damage Sequencer 1 - day 1 jam patch

Published on Oct 12, 2014 Greg VanEck

"day 1 jam with the audio damage sequencer 1. pitch out to braids, processed by halls of valhalla cart. gate out to dual adsr for vca and ripples filter envelopes. accent out to equation composer for percussion, processed by grainshift and erbe verb. all modulation and gate triggers are from the seq 1 internal lfo's, routed back to itself to cv input parameters and mult'd to other modules in the patch via stackables."

Murmux Semi-Modular Synthesizer Review

Published on Oct 12, 2014 ProckGnosis

2nd video below.

"Review of the Murmux Semi-Modular Synthesizer manufactured in Greece by Dreadbox Pedals and Synths (http://www.dreadbox-fx.com/)

I try to cover the basics of the synth, including the different sections and features, giving some sound examples as I tweak and explain the different controls and parameters. What I don't cover is patching with the different CV/Gates inputs and outputs at the top of synth's panel (what makes it semi-modular).

Check out Henrik Lendal's video at
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTnBS... for good look at getting creative with the semi-modular with some patch cables.

Positives?
- The synth sounds great and is a blast to mess around with
- Looks as great as it sounds
- Great sounding filter
- A slightly different approach on some features (the 4-stage mod for example)
- Sturdy construction with solid knobs!

Negatives (and only very slight ones)
- Playing legato with a MIDI controller does not retrigger the filter envelope, but playing with a CV/gate input DOES retrigger the filter envelope playing legato or staccato
- Filter has a slight spike on the key-up with certain settings

All in all, I LOVE it...addictive as hell to play around with and in some ways cooler than my Moog Voyager...

Cheers!"

Audio Damage Sequencer 1 - day 1 perc seq

Published on Oct 12, 2014 Greg VanEck

"day 1 with the audio damage sequencer 1. not my finest patching, but demonstrates the versatile ability of the seq 1 to sequence and modulate multiple sources simultaneously. all gate triggering and modulation from the seq 1 with the time synch lfo's routed to its ratcheting and repeat functions and mult'd to other modules. accent used as a second gate trigger. braids and equation composer as sound sources. piston honda mkII for modulated waveshaping. mmf-6 for filtering. halls of valhalla cart for side chained reverb, modulated by the a-119. audio damage grainshift for granular processing."

This is the inexpensive way to get both the Boss Percussion Synthesizer and Clap pedals--the circuits and controls are the same. The TS204 is an ideal expander for the Roland TR-606, giving you an 808-style clap and a drum synth channel capable of huge bass drum sounds or Synare-style filtered snare sounds."

GRP A8 - Un sintetizzatore di Paolo Groppioni (Rome, Italy)

Published on Oct 12, 2014 Elegtrosmok Music

"Part 1 of some randomly recorded sound samples done with the GRP A8 synthesizer.
The GRP A8 is a 6 Oscillator analog synthesizer with two independent synth sections. Each synth section with three VCOs plus three additional sub oscillators and one analog ringmodulator. Semi modular routings can be done by dedicated knobs. There are two multi mode VCFs, two fixed filterbanks, two VCLFOs and one LFO, Sample&Hold, white/pink/red noise and seven envelope generators and a very comfortable sequencer on board. The audio signals of both synth sections can be voltage controlled panned to the Stereo Output. The GRP synthesizers are developed and manufactured by Paolo Groppioni (Rome / Italy)."

KORG Poly-61 sequenced by Anyware Intruments inSEQt via CV/GATE

Published on Dec 28, 2013 Elegtrosmok Music

"When i had to repair an old defective Poly-61 i decided to unchain this machine from any digital limitations, free it by some valuable mods. one of the main features is the ability to control the synth by CV/GATE. so i did this first. excuse the bad sound and the unprofessional way to do the test. it is only a very first test using CV/GATE. The functionality is okay now, also as the feature to transpose the sequence by the Poly-61 keyboard.

This is the beginning of tons of modding features on my to-do list. i will create a whole new synthesizer out of this vintage analog audio gear... so stay tuned folks! I am sure you will not waste any time on it ;-)"
