"ROLAND MKS-7 Super Quartet (in the centre of the photo)
it's a Juno 106 in a 2U rack format
with chord and melody sections (4+2 voices poliphony, linkable for full 6 voices like on the Juno 106)
with a TR-707 section and a bass section
all four sections with assignable MIDI channels

all voices have been replaced with Analogue Renaissance chips

it works like a beauty !!"

"Sound designer's dream... The best digital synthesizer ever made. Fully functional less Control 3 pot (read below).

The good:
It has a new motherboard and new hard drive which has the latest OS, sourced from a gentleman in France (I believe they are not available anymore); spare pot caps, spare mushroom joysticks, spare sticks and original user manual and box (AC cord included).
All keys, pots, joysticks, wheels, sticks, switches, LED, displays work as they should (less Control 3 pot).

The bad:
1/ Control 3 pot does not work anymore (it can be controlled over MIDI)
2/ It has 3 dents / scratches (see pictures):
- Control 3 is pushed 1/4" down
- Programmer has a paint scratch (about 1/2") and pushed 1/8" down
- Paint scratch below Shaper 2 (about 1/4" wide)
3/ Frame is warped (it does not sit evenly on its 4 legs (1/4" play))
4/ Master volume pot cap is grey (not red).

If you are looking for a rare and fantastic synth and can live with the 'not museum condition', this synth is for you."

"In great condition and fully functioning, the original edition from the early 90s, its analog voices with independent output are capable of great hihats, snares, metallic and all sort of industrial/weird sounds, having also some modulation options via midi. Famously used by Anthony Rother in his setup of the last few years, it has a sound than cuts very well through the mix."

LYRA-8 through MΓ„ANDER // Filterbank Synthesizer Drone Music #TTNM

Published on Jun 2, 2020 THE TUESDAY NIGHT MACHINES

"SOMA LYRA-8 drone music processed by the FLAME MΓ„ANDER synthesizer’s filter bank. MORE INFO BELOW :)

♥ SUPPORT: http://bit.ly/ttnm-support

Cameron Entzminger sent me an audio file of a Soma Lyra-8 performance to run through the Flame MΓ€ander’s filter bank.

You can listen to the original Lyra-8 audio file here:
https://soundcloud.com/cambot_music/l...

In this video I first fade in the various filter bank channels. Then I morph to the filter bank’s 12-track envelope sequencer, which adds rhythm to the drone and introduces stereo panning effects. The 10 filter bands above the bass frequencies are split between the left and right channels when you plug cables into both audio output sockets.

Later on, I add sequenced white noise shots from the MΓ€ander and additional percussion from Bram Bos’ Ruismaker iOS drum machine, turning the Lyra-8 drone into some kind of dark industrial beat music.

"Classic 70's mono synth in solid condition with all knobs, switches, jacks and LED's working as intended.

This unit was recently serviced, with the power supply being recalibrated along with the VCO, VCF and VCA sections -- in other words a full recalibration of the unit as per the original service manual.

The unit has been modified to operate at normal US wall voltage, not the 100V Japanese it was originally set for. This mod only involved attaching a different tap from the original transformer inside, as per the service manual.

Key action is smooth throughout full range of keys."

Fading lights (Genesis cover)

Published on Jun 1, 2020 GS Music

"After implementing some multitimbral capabilities on Zeus, our analog polyphonic synthesizer prototype, I made a virtual reunion with my friends from Selling Broadway (Genesis tribute band) to cover the instrumental part of this song.

All the synth sounds were produced by Zeus. The lower keyboard is a MIDI controller.

The band:
Mariano Redruello: electric guitar
Guillermo Salvat: drums
Guido Salaya: synthesizer

Fading Lights is the twelfth and final song on the album We Can't Dance by Genesis. The song was written by Tony Banks, Phil Collins, and Mike Rutherford, with lyrics by Tony Banks. It is the longest song on the album."
