"A TRYPTICH OF SONIC SUPERIORITY – DEDICATED TO KLAUS SCHULZE

In 1969 Robert Arthur Moog transformed his mighty and complex 3C studio synthesizer system – due to popular demand – into a stage ready tryptich of extraordinary beauty and sonic superiority. No wonder the roadworthy Tolex covered 3P rose immediate attention among artists worldwide, and therefore found its way into the hands of artists like George Harrison and bands like The Rolling Stones or Tangerine Dream. One of the most famous 3P users of all time and pioneering founder of the berlin school.

Klaus Schulze, bought his system in 1975 from German Artist Florian Fricke and used it for several years for live performances as well as studio recordings. Kindly dedicated to Klaus, we considered it is about time to reengineer and resurrect this wonderful instrument to the very last detail to bring back the authentic sound and feel of this highly sophisticated beauty. With greatest respect to the spirit of the old Trumansburg days, there will be a pristine model but no such thing as a stock 3P-2020, since everything remains customizable to your very own personal taste.

Housewife - Daan, on two Korg MS-20's (cover by Munatix)

Munatix

"In order to test our two serviced MS-20's, we play here the instrumental track 'Housewife'. Originally it is from the great Belgian performer 'Daan'. In Belgium this was a hit in 2004. Saw Daan's keyboard player Jeroen Swinnen play this live on an MS-20. This was what inspired us to use this gem, to test our MS-20's. Btw, distortion is applied to the sound of the MS-20 that plays the lead."

Beetronics - Swarm - Fuzz Synthesizer

Dennis Kayzer

"Guitar Effects Pedal Demo - Beetronics - Swarm - Fuzz Synthesizer"

"The Swarm is an Analog Fuzz Harmonizer that sounds like a thousand killer bees coming to get you!

It basically turns your input signal into a square wave, than multiplies and divides the frequency of that wave, giving you nine possible harmonies in two different octaves. Modulation is applied to the harmonies making them go from a nearly perfect tracking harmony, to a wild and uncontrollable swarm of mad bees.

The WORKER sets the level of your input signal, now fuzzy and buzzy. The SPECIES allows you to select between 9 different intervals for your harmonies. The QUEEN and DRONE set the levels for each of the harmonies that stay one octave apart.

The FLIGHT and STING control the modulation applied to the harmonies. They are highly interactive controls and you will find many different sounds by just messing with these. STING sets how fast or slow the harmonies will follow your playing. Turn it CCW for it to feel like the harmonies sting you at every note you play. Turn it CW and the harmonies will sound like a drunk bee hovering up and down around the root. FLIGHT will set the response of the modulation. CCW the harmonies will keep it oscillating up and down, while CW it will glide and hold from one note to the next.

The MASTER control will set your output volume.

With all that said, no matter how one tries to explain the theory and what each control does, the Swarm is best when played by instinct. Mess with every control until you find a tone that you like and let the bees take you to sonic places you've never been!

True Bypass

Hand made in California.

BEE YOURSELF."

One of Starships [Novation Circuit + Volca Bass]

Flak Cannon

"I've had a Volca Bass for a few weeks, but haven't actually done anything with it. Now was the time for that to change so I paired it with Novation Circuit for some trancey goodness! The original plan was to do a goa track in the style of Astral Projections, but no luck making it work this time. Went with something more lower tempo instead.

The roles of the machines were reversed a bit: the Circuit does the bassline while Volca is on the lead/pluck duty. All of this was finished with a bunch of effects to give more spaaaaaaaaaaaaace.

And a final tip: sometimes I can't come up with a good song title.. so it's time to cheat a bit! A site called 'Seventh Sanctum' is the perfect place for all kinds of nerdy'n'geeky title/idea generating. The 'Science Fiction Tarot Card Generator' was responsible for the name of this track."

Super Rare Vintage Synthesizer 1970s SLM Concert Spectrum Keyboard SN 153145

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

You can find a demo of one here.

"This is a Concert Spectrum sold by ST. Louis Music.

These were only made and sold in 1975 and 1976.

These were intended for professional use and were used heavily by the likes of ELO and Journey in the studio and on stage in the mid to late 1970s.

Incredible vintage sounds and effects from this ahead of it's time keyboard.

Variety of voices and rally cool stereo and panning effects built in. You can conbine any of the voicings and it will let you pan certain voicings to different amps and cabs, you can even mix these voicings during playing. Incredibly innovative for the time.

The last couple of these keyboards sold for over $1000 on Reverb in comparable condition.

Some things to consider with this specific keyboard:

The top-side pannning sliders and buttons are a bit scratchy and could use some cleaning.

It is missing two volume slider knobs on the front of the keyboard. One of the sliders (the volume for the bass portion of the violin voice) has been broken off although the slider still works well and moves freely with your fingers, an easy fix for sure.

Five keys do not work with the "piano" and "harpsichord" voicings. These same keys work well with the other instrument voices. I think that most musicians will not be concered with this due to the fact that these are the two least desirable voices on this model. You really want this synth for it's wonderful vintage sounding "violin" and "cello" voices.

The 'decay' on one key is fairly short and doesn't respond to the adjustment setting. Almost impossible to discern when playing chords and solos.

This keyboard came with two metal "legs" that were used for a stand. These legs were missing when I acquired it. This keyboard is better suited for a multi tierd stand...It would look awesome with a vintage Moog sitting under it!"

All sliders, pots and selector switches cleaned.
Power supply fully recapped and regulators connected to PSU board directly with wires.
Faulty connectors reflowed, several leaking caps replaced.
S&H circuit repaired and a faulty slider replaced.
Keyboard contacts cleaned.
Upper and Lower CV calibration, oscillator calibration."

"I'm the original owner of this amazing Prophet-600, one of the first 40 ever made (serial #040), in almost mint condition (see the pics)! I've never taken it out of my home, never gigged with it, always covered it when not in use, and just to be sure there are no issues with it, I just got it serviced by Nightlife Electronics in Vancouver. Everything works as it always has! I'm selling because I've only played on it a handful of times in the last decade, and I don't have the space. It's taken me a year or two to get my head around even letting it go. I don't think there are many left in the world in this condition. This amazing synth will be lovingly wrapped and boxed, so it arrives to its new owner safe and sound."

Simmons Electronics Digital Clap Trap

"This hard to find Simmons Digital Clap Trap is in great working condition. This is a simple unit, allows you to balance between a clap and noise sound which can take you from the classic "P-Funk" clap to abstract percussive noise. Pitch and decay adjust for each sound. Very nice sound and surprisingly useful for such a simple device. You can trigger it from an external trigger or audio input, manual trigger button or use the auto-trigger mode (with adjustable speed). The humanizer feature alters the pitch of the claps. To hear the the humanizer, use manual trigger and play it very quickly. (Just had to state that here so you don't think it's broken if you buy it - it's a subtle effect!)"

This one is in good working shape considering its age.
All keys, knobs, switches, faders and buttons work fine, only issue is on the LFO section the Delay fader parameter is not working.

Its in fine cosmetic condition, visible signs of usage and time, some wear and tear scratches and keys have become yellowish. Interestingly it has KORG painted marked on the back side.

"A live modular synth performance featuring many mutable instruments and make noise modules sequenced by hermod.

My challenge is to create chords in modular while including a good deal of randomness.

Hermod is the brain and marbles is the secondary sequencer. 3 sto's make up the chords, and resonated by SMR. Elements is stings, rings is random, plaits is lead, and warps is bass.

Chronoblob2 is blasting rings and plaits, and the whole mix is shimmered by morphagene, shaped by QPAS, and spaced by clouds"
