v1.0.3 of Piloslib available on deken and github. Pictured here is beat_note_vvc

video upload by Akunull

"Available on deken or

Pictured here is beat_note_vvc, a control that interpolates between note frequency and beat
New objects:
Added nv_repeat(_vvcm), an object that repeats a note-velocity pair (or any pair of floats) n amount of times at a rate in beats and a multiplier of that rate to send a note-off
Added vcf_npnp_mix(_vvcm)~, an n-pole band-pass or low-pass filter with mixing, basically a wrapper and mixer for multiple [vcf~]
Added multi_vcf(mix_vvcm)~, an n-pole band-pass, low-pass filter or [bob~] (virtual analog resonant low-pass) with mixing
Added sequencer counter called seq_counter(_vvcm) to be used instead of seq_count(_vvcm) for more intuitive sequencer control (wrapping is done by extend instead of making length longer than steps)
Added pulse_gate(_vv/c), a simple modulator that travels from one value to another in a pulse fashion with adjustable values and width
Added beat_note_vvc, a control that outputs an amount of beats, but can be set by midi note value. Lower block sizes in the current window are necessary for most notes (see [block~])

New example plate_onou.pd
Updated INTRO.pd sequencers to seq_counter
Fixed adsr_ppa_vv~ variables
Deleted print objects in sampler
Oscillator A in both imp and ajah has the pitch_env setting to 1 instead of 0 by default
Added more lfo parameters to synths with mhx engine
Shading added to moduation vvcs (ie hsl_4m_vvc, nbx_6m_vvc)
Small UI changes
Renamed retrig_vvc~ to retrig_vvcm~
Added length_mult and dry_amp to retrig~
Added another output to ci_strip_vvcm for amount of controls
nip_mod_chan's channel is put through a modulus so channels 16+ are included
Cleaned up ajah synth interface
Changed default parameters for delay_extfb_vvcm~
Changed default parameters for (type)_mix_vvcm objects
samp_slice_vvc no longer graphs on parent
Readme updates and fixessamp_slice_vvc no longer graphs on parent"

The Truth about Super Booth 2023

video upload by AudioPilz

"Welcome to the AudioPilz SuperBooth 2023 special. Will it provide The Truth about Super Booth 2023 ??? Including Borat - like encounters with Tatsuya Takahashi of Korg Berlin, marketing-meetups in the Teenage Engineering bus, my failure of getting a Yamaha representative in front of the camera, my lost Elektron brother, we will find out about how Polyend deals with trolls, whether Arturia people actually like the Drumbrute, there's plenty of meme goodness and I will jam on all the synths that I'm otherwise not allowed to put on Bad Gear. Finally and most importantly: does Nick Batt of Sonic State know about all the memes about him?

Sampling a Juno-106 into the Prophet X

video upload by Espen Kraft

"Sampling synths has been done since the dawn of samplers. Sometimes it's done to get new timbres, textures or increased polyphony. Or it's done to assemble a lot of sounds for a live gig. Whatever reason, sampling is a highly creative process than can yield great results."

Moog Prodigy // It's One Huge Sweet Spot

video upload by Starsky Carr

"The Prodigy is probably my all time favourite little synth. It's got a snarling charm. It's simple with a single LFO, no noise, no PWM, no MIDI, no FM, but the raw sound is amazing... and that means its hard to make the Prodigy sound anything less than gorgeous.

warning there's singing in this video. A Starsky First!! ;)"

Modernetics by Benge

video upload by zack dagoba

"A self-playing cybernetic patch made on the Modcan A-Series modular system

The modules have been set up so that they interact with each other using CVs and triggers generated by themselves, based upon two initial VCOs which are the source of all the sounds and also modulations. There are no Random Generators in this patch

In other words, by creating a modified feedback path between the audio outs of the VCOs and their own CV inputs, chaotic interactions occur, for both pitch and timing attributes. The modifier in this case is a VC Waveshaper

Another important part of the patch is the derivation of gate pulses from audio signals. For this, I am using a Gated Comparator module. There is also a Sample & Hold module and various other CV and timing modifiers and processors in the patch

The whole idea of cybernetics is to set up chaotic systems in a controlled and productive way, something that this Modcan synthesiser can do really well"

MiniMod Keyz & Arps - Keyboard Split function and Dual Arpeggiator running 2 synth voices

video upload by AJH Synth Official

"Full-length 'landscape view' video on Sunday. Using the keyboard split function of the Nifty Keyz with an arpeggiator on both keyboard zones. This is then controlling both the on-board MiniMod voice and a separate Eurorack case, containing another 3-VCO voice and the Gemini 2412 Dual State-variable VCF. These 2 SEM-style filters are processing the same sound very differently, and are modulated the Dual RVG random voltage event generator, and the Multi Burst Envelopes. The MiniMod Keyz voice uses the Ring SM as a mixer and sub-bass/sub-octave generator, along with the classic Minimoog-based Transistor Ladder Filter.

MiniMod Keyz User Guide videos coming soon.

The AJH SYNTH Eurorack range consists of high-end modules, all hand-made in the UK, most of which are based on classic, vintage designs, authentically recreating the circuitry of much sought-after analogue instruments and technologies of the past, whilst greatly expanding them, and bringing them to modern Eurorack levels of convenience, limitless flexibility, and reliability.

Check out the AJH Synth playlists for module 'User Guides', and 'Patch of The Week' videos, which will be either performances or 'how to' guides, detailing functions/methods, and a range of sounds, some familiar, some less so, containing a patch sheet at the end to show you how to construct it for yourself.

Talk with Yukes——“ Why I Prefer an Electronic Instrument, Instead of an Acoustic One?"

video upload by Meng Qi

"Yukes excels at all kinds of plucked string instruments. He told me His stage name Yukes is derived from the word 'Ukulele,' and when he put his name into Google Translate, it resulted in '玉刻' (Yukes), which means 'Jade Carve' literally in Chinese. In our culture, one well-known adage goes like this: 'Jade needs to be carved to become finest.' This string instrument player from the US seems to have a destined connection with Chinese traditional culture.

Later, he studied the Guzheng at NYU Shanghai and self-taught other Chinese traditional instruments, such as the Xiao and Zhongruan. Just as we marveled at how an American musician could show such extraordinary skills in Chinese traditional instruments, he surprised us once again by expressing his passion for electronic instruments or, more precisely, the electrification of traditional instruments. So, what exactly is it? Is it a corruption or betrayal of tradition? Can traditional instruments and electronic instruments coexist on the same stage? I hope that my interview with Yukes can answer these questions."

"Own a genuine piece of Blink history with this Moog Source owned my Mark Hoppus!

I bought this synth a few years ago from Marks reverb store. It does make noise, but will need a full service to get it going. This is the way the synth was when I bought it, but I’ve just kept it the way it originally was when in Mark’s possession. I’ve never cleaned or played it.

Comes with signed COA from Mark."
