"In this video, Julian demos the 64 presets included in the "J3PO OB-X8 Presets: Future Vintage" for the Oberheim OB-X8.

This demo was recorded dry straight to Pro Tools, with no external FX, save for some light compression and leveling for the purposing of uploading to YouTube. What you hear is what you get! Of course, users are encouraged to add their own FX, such as chorus, reverb, delay etc. to the sounds. Please see my upcoming video '20 minutes of beautiful OB-X8 & Strymon soundscapes' to hear some of these sounds in context.
There are 64 patches in this preset library and they will load to patches 'OB-X: Groups 8-16' on the OB-X8. The introductory sale price is $39 (normally $45).
The library covers a lot of sonic ground, ranging from ultra vintage Oberheim sounds to tones that fit right into contemporary production. The Oberheim palette is the sound that originally got me into synthesizers (the OB-Xa) and it’s such a joy to have a re-issue of one of the world’s most beloved synthesizers. I hope you enjoy these sounds as much as I enjoyed creating them!

Rare Lexicon Prime Time 93 Digital Delay

"Rare Lexicon Prime Time 93 digital delay with maxed out memory, in fully functioning and perfect working condition. The front panel is immaculate. It is likely one of the cleanest Lexicon 93's in the world."
This one was sent to: "Dane Beamish of Beamish Electronics for repair, who is well known in the industry as the main tech who works on Lexicon gear. He wasn't cheap, but he went over it in great detail, and replaced all of the tantalum and electrolytic caps, a new timing crystal, several op-amps, and installed 24 new RAM chips. He also fully calibrated it. He recommended paying additional for the more expensive higher quality Texas Instrument RAM chips since (in his experience) they rarely go bad, so I decided to go with his recommendation, despite the much higher cost. He told me it was the cleanest Lexicon Prime Time 93 he had ever seen. He believes it may have left the factory this way, and sat on a shelf as a test unit, or may have left the the factory by other means. You can read his write up in the attached invoice."

"Lastly, there seems to be some confusion online about the Prime Time 93’s VCO. I heard it referred to as an LFO in one video and that didn’t sound right to me. I contacted Gary Hall, creator of the Lexicon PCM42 digital delay, who worked for Lexicon at the time the Prime Time 93 was in production. Here’s what Gary had to say:
'Actually, the Prime Time has both an LFO and a VCO. Internally, the digital circuits are all run by a clock at ultrasonic rates. In the fixed delay mode, the clock is a crystal oscillator. When you click the knob to ‘UnCal’, the clock is taken over by a Voltage-Controlled Oscillator running at similar high speed which you can change with the manual sweep or with the LFO. The clock oscillator itself is a true VCO, however it’s not in audible range (I don’t have numbers in front of me, but it’s dog-whistle territory). It’s also linear-response only. No effort was made to have it conform to synth specs. So, VCO modulated by LFO and/or manual offset.'"

"Moog Prodigy model 336A monophonic synthesizer in good working condition. Produced by Moog from 1979 to 1984 and only 11,000 were made.
The synthesize features a dual voltage-controlled oscillator design to deliver classic analog sounds with easy-to-use controls. Oscillator 1 has sawtooth, triangle and pulse waveforms. Oscillator 2 has sawtooth, triangle and square waveforms. The waveforms can be detuned and the oscillators can be synchronized. In sync mode, the pitch wheel alters the tonality of the pitch as opposed to the pitch itself. There are Oscillator Mod, Mixer, Filter, Filter Contour and Loudness Contour control sections, as well as Tune and Slide Wheels. The Prodigy features a genuine Moog four-pole 24dB/octave lowpass filter (the Emphasis knob), A/D/S envelope generator, and LFO with square or triangle waveforms and routing to the VCF, VCO, or both. WELSON SYNTEX / VERMONA ER-9

"Welson Syntex - our favorite Italian monophonic dual oscillators with 4 footages each, a Moog ladder filter and white and pink noise - you'll hear it in this video.
The Random Music button triggers random notes but can also be routed to control the LFO of the noise and filter sections to create rhythmic, drum-like patterns - here that snappy filter comes to good use.
What seems like a goofy novelty is actually pretty neat.
The LFO triggering is stable so dialing in the tempo to an existing track is a breeze - but I am thinking of putting MIDI and CV Gate in to this machine anyways - to be able to arpeggiate the Welson Syntex is the stuff of dreams.
Here I'm using some of the presets as well - they're surprisingly good - although most of them are not tweakable which is another thing I might look into.
This rather slim, elongated synthesizer growls and howls - it distorts on its own internally so no need to add distortion - but can also generate gentle and sweet flute and whistle sounds - summing it up its a versatile synthesizer.
Sitting in on second drums we got a German 'Ostie' - East German - machine - the Vermona ER-9.
It's thin but harsh sounding - very electronic - and quite a looker as well.
Just the way we prefer them - it's got separate volume controls for each sound."
