After Later Audio Stairs - Stereo Ladder Filter Eurorack Module
video upload by After Later Audio
"A single triangle wave pattern played through Stairs. Learn about the bias knob and how it interacts with the cutoff and resonance."
"Our first ladder filter, and it's in stereo. You'll get HP, BP. LP2, and LP4 outputs for each side. Please read below on the HP and BP outputs as they are a bit temperamental.
Along with all of the great traditional sounds of a ladder filter, we've added a bias knob which starves ladder transistors of bias current. This can create some fun detuning, glitchy, and warbly sounds. It sounds best with the resonance turned up a bit. Turning the bias will mess with the cutoff frequency and resonance settings so it takes some knob tweaking to master it. There is decent volt/octave tracking for about 3 octaves.
The HP and BP are possible due to pole mixing. When combined with the level control and the resonance it can lead to some atypical behaviors. So keeping the resonance low and you'll need to manage the level control to get a typical HP and BP responses."

"This 'Rev A' version has the well known and desirable 3389 Curtis CEM Analog Filter chips and is updated to the final OS version 2.0. The synth has been very well kept, is functionally perfect, and in cosmetically excellent condition with little to virtually no wear. The screen is bright, the buttons are responsive, and the big red encoder works smoothly without fault. The sound is unmatched, and thanks to its legendary filters, the synth sounds 'alive', very full bodied and 3D.
This Microwave comes with its vitally necessary companion, the Access Microwave programmer, which turns your PPG in a box rack into a Microwave XT but better with analog filters. The programmer with its knob per function analog controls makes this synth a dream to program and play. Also throwing in a bonus Dave Gould Techno card. Power is 220V so also throwing in an ultra high quality voltage converter by Voltcraft."

Kodamo Mask1: Dark Ambient
video uploads by j bowman
"In this series of videos, I explore the creation of dark ambient music using the powerful Kodamo Mask1 synthesizer, processed through the Akai MPC Live 2. If you're into ambient synth music and enjoy the deep, atmospheric textures of dark ambient, this series is for you. These videos showcase how the Kodamo Mask1's unique synthesis capabilities, combined with the sampling power of the Akai MPC, can create immersive, lo-fi soundscapes perfect for dark ambient tracks.
I use the Kodamo Mask1 for rich, evolving pads and drones, and then transform those sounds with the Akai MPC Live 2 to produce textured, gritty, and atmospheric results. These videos are perfect for anyone interested in sampling synthesizers to create raw, organic sounds and explore the potential of lo-fi ambient music.
Whether you're a fan of Kodamo synthesizers, the flexibility of Akai MPC, or simply enjoy the process of crafting ambient synth music, you’ll find plenty of inspiration in these sessions."

Best Ambient Synth Shootout #142: Roland V-Synth - Song 2
video upload by Christian's Sonic Spaces
"This is the second (lazy sunday) recording with the Roland V-Synth. The V-Synth was Rolands flagship synthesizer released in 2003. It is 16-part multitimbral with up to 24-voices polyphony, featuring analog modeling and PCM waveforms with user sampling that can independently manipulate pitch, time and formant thanks to Rolands VariPhrase technology.
I used for the recording the following FX pedals:
Pigtronix Echolution² Deluxe, GFI System Specular Reverb², Sony DPS-V77
The signal went through a Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 into the PC via USB for recording. To create the complete song I recorded consecutively several stereo tracks. On some tracks Compressor and EQ where added in Cubase. The final song was then mastered using iZotope Ozone.
Well, I decided to go back to the basics, but at the same time make something useful for the synth community and do a kind of competition (I like competitions;-). What's my best synth for ambient music :-)"
