A quick Caladan update: current state of UI

"As a follow up to the update I gave on our forum a couple of weeks back

I will not be around for the next 4-5 weeks and so just wanted to leave a progress update here, since I am doing the UI firmware for the Caladan myself now.
The populating of synth parameter data is now complete for the front panel, with automatic, dynamic parameter mapping. Menus and general machine navigation is now in place.
I've been working on a dynamic, automatic GUI that allows synth panels for cards, plugins and even external midi instruments to be created and edited, shared etc.
In the future this panel feature can import graphics, different knob styles etc to create nice GUIs for anything on the synth.

The Rack Attack is a dedicated percussion synth based on the Micro Q's structure but offering a very different slant https://waldorfmusic.com/legacy-rack-attack/ This example is in very good condition, with just a few superficial marks. check the photos. The backlight is very good - see one of the pics. The external UK PSU has the earth pin removed which might seem a bit alarming, but I asked Waldorf at the time I bought it and it was done in factory apparently!"

The synth is considered by many as one of the best mono synths ever. It is in original form, only the power had has an upgrade (new caps), and it has been cleaned inside and outside, fully calibrated and ready for use. All knobs are original, and all functions work as they should. One slider knob has ever so slightly contacts problems, but it has been cleaned and re-lubricated, so it works fine, but care might be needed. Or it could be changed to a new one. We choose not to do that to keep the complete synth original. The keyboard is original too, and might need new bushings if you are a keyboard player. All interfaces work, and of course it sounds brilliantly!"

"Pretty good condition considering how old it is - the endcheeks have the usual minor damage on the corners but the panel, knobs, keys etc are very good. It needs a litle work* to be 100%: it has probably about 4 duff keys (will need re-coating with the special compound you can get) otherwise works over CV, Internally from what I remember, it has a slight crack on the pcb which had been patched up and resoldered by the previous owner. Few noisy pots etc."

The successor to the Welson Band is a colorful device with great analog sounds albeit slightly minimal variety or modulation offerings.

"A piece created with norns shield and modular synthesizer — an ambient electronica work where glitch-processed piano tones emerge within waves of sustained electronic sound.
On the norns shield, the barcode script is used to record and play back synth pad performances from the @SequentialLLC Prophet-10. The connected @KorgOfficial NTS-3 adds reverb and occasional tremolo effects.
In the modular synthesizer, a piano performance is recorded into Morphagene, which is then modulated with CV signals from Quad Function to create glitch variations. The modular output is split into two paths: the original signal from Morphagene, and another processed through a Clouds clone. The original path is further enhanced with @ChaseBlissAudio MOOD MKII, applying micro-loop effects for additional glitch textures."
