The Human Comparator TTSH (Arp 2600 Clone) Semi-Modular Synth Rev 2

via this auction

"There is a lot of talk right now about the ARP 2600, and the TTSH is partially to blame for that. Offering a smaller, DIY solution (or pre-built like this one was from companies like Laurentide Synthworks) to a synth based around the sound and functionality of the original legend.

Used in really good condition. Some light scuffs on the outside of the case. The finish on the metal is very susceptible to scuffing and light scratches so if you need to have pristine gear this might not be the case for you. All sliders and their LEDs function properly."

The Human Comparator SY-1 Rev 2 - Pearl Syncussion Analog Drum Synth

"This listing is for a fully working and calibrated 2019 build of the SY-1 Pearl Syncussion analog drum synthesizer clone using the Rev 2 (2018) PCB and enclosure by The Human Comparator, aka zthee...

The Pearl Syncussion is a legendary two-channel electronic drum module released during the Disco era which contains an amazing array of awesome percussion sounds within its easy-to-grasp interface. Its 6 oscillator modes, selectable by rotary knob, allow a user to emulate bells, toms, snares, claps, and more (triggerable manually or via analog trigger input) or totally space out using the onboard LFO and S&H modulation. Though original units are hard to find, they are still heavily in use to this day due to their obvious usefulness for techno, electro, etc.

In 2016, The Human Comparator released an instantly popular, near-identical clone of the original Pearl unit, thus making these legendary sounds available to the masses once again!"

SY-1 Pearl Syncussion clone - fixing the PSU noise

Published on Jul 2, 2018 Stereoping

"The first batch of the brilliant SY-1 Syncussion clones from the human comparator seemed to have an issue with the negative power supply (TL497 inverter), soiling an ennoying high frequent noise into the audio path. There are several discussions and suggestions for fixing in different discussion boards. On learning from Shruthi filter schematics i came across another voltage inverter (LT1054) and wanted to give it a try. To my own surprise it worked right away, the noise completely disappeared, the unit still worked (unbeleivable!) and the new inverter keeps perfectly cool. I built a test setting with a switch allowing to flip from the original negative supply to a breadboarded LT1054 supply. You will directly hear and see the difference.

Second half of the demo shows some pictures how my alternative negative supply looks like now. It is soldered directly in place after removing the TL497 and some unused components. The background music is of course from the SY-1 (after PSU-conversion) together with the impOSCar.

There is an article on my site with more details about this hack."
