BURG - Red / Take One (Live Jam KORG volca and Kaoss Pad)

Published on Mar 22, 2014 ollilaboratories·23 videos

"gear: KORG volca 1xbeats, 2xBass, 1xKeys, zoom G3 with an attack/envelope plus a small reverb... jomox t-resonator mkII w rev, ibanez es-2 DDL and the mx400 mixer plus Kaoss Pad KP3+ using samples and some delays FX etc

A new minimal track of a new variation i have been working on, this time playing with length and repetition rather than complexity. As always live jam session and no multitracking.. what you see is what you hear!

Also, video is a bit boring, had no batteries in my other cams... sry.

Casio 501 dub - Week 9 catchup - Royalty Free Electonica

Published on Aug 25, 2013 ChrisLody·66 videos

"This track was created using a Casiotone 501, Ibanez DM500 delay and an Inkel MX880E Mixer. Bit of a quicky this one as i've been too busy to do my weekly upload so i'm try to catchup!

Right, so here's the idea. Trying to write, upload and give away a fresh piece of music on a roughly weekly basis. Will i be able to keep it up? Will i run out of ideas? Can i be bothered? How shoddy will they be? Does anybody care? God knows. But that's the point.

Basically the idea is to flex my musical muscles a bit. I have collected quite a bit of gear over the years and not much of it is getting used as much as i'd like, so this is my attempt to justify all those purchases whilst practising improving and getting ideas down fast as an antidote to procrastination. "Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working." as Picasso once said.

Royalty free for you to use for whatever under the creative commons license. Just rip the audio out of the video for now, i'll get these tracks uploaded to a dropbox account when i get my act together. Let me know if you use it, i'd be stoked."

"I just got a lovely Ibanez AD150 analog delay unit on the bay, its a studio version of the AD80 which I rave on about all the time. So to test it I set up an 8 step sequence on the Doepfer modular, and triggered the notes with a slow random source and layered 3 passes up, via the Ibanez. So the music below is self-generating really"
