Winds of Time
video upload by Vykaar Tones
"Improvisation in the style of the much missed Klaus Schulze. I have just acquired an Elka Rhapsody 610 in lovely condition and thought I would use it in a Berlin School piece. You can clearly hear how it was used by Tangerine Dream on albums made from 1975 onwards."

VINTAGE SYNTHESIZER MUSEUM - Synth Studio Tour
video upload by synth4ever
Update: Don't miss the super rare Ionic Performer (EMS SYNTHI clone) at the begining. Click through for some demos in previous posts.
"Vintage Synthesizer Museum synth studio tour. During a visit to LA in September 2022 I dropped by the Vintage Synth Museum at their new location in Highland Park. VSM founder & curator Lance gave me a tour of the new facilities and all the vintage synths available for playing.
In this synth studio tour, Lance gives us an overview of the new Vintage Synthesizer Museum space, tour of the facilities, and showcases various vintage synths including Yamaha CS-80, Roland Jupiter-8, Moog, ElectroComp, Sequential, Korg and more.
Hope you enjoy this synth studio tour, there's so many vintage synthesizers to see and play! If you're ever in Los Angeles, make it your mission to visit the Vintage Synthesizer Museum -- it's well worth it.

SynthPlex 2022: LA Good Vibe - Mobile Solar Recording Truck
video upload by sonicstate
"LA Good Vibe is a solar powered mobile recording truck, with the ability to go completely off grid, enabling some incredible locations for recording. Its a private facility created by Joachim Garraud, designed (we think) to enable him to live the dream, collaborate and demonstrate that its possible to go off grid and use 100% renewable energy (assuming you have a few $$ to set it up)
Jim took a tour around the studio based inside a large truck, custom fitted for the purpose. Joachim seems to be up for collaborations and interesting opportunities, so check it out at:

Crazy Vintage Synth Tour At Vengeance Sound
video upload by Doctor Mix
"Today I travel all the way to Germany to discover Avenger 2, yet-to-be-released plugin synthesizer by Vengeance Sound. More about it 👉https://www.vengeance-sound.com/"
This one was spotted and sent in via Soviet Space Child who noted:
"If you remember Vengeance sound, they were makers of some very popular patch collections for synths such as the Access Virus, Waldorf Q, JP-8000, etc in the early 2000's [Virus C & Waldorf Q demos below]. They've since branched out into sample banks and their own VST's such as Avenger."

MATTHS Modular Rig Tour - Sonicstate
video upload by sonicstate
"A recent visit to Brighton coincided with an interesting bill at railway arch venue The Green Door Store - long-time SonicTalk guest Matt Hodson aka @MATTHS was playing with his modular rig.
So we grabbed cameras and managed to film a quick rig tour - Chris Black of nearby electronic duo Battery Operated Orchestra was kind enough to come along and ask questions.
Matt's minimal show rig was carefully chosen not only to maximise his sonic palette, but also to provide an impressive degree of control over how that sound was presented.
Matt was using studio production techniques to really sculpt the sound and create powerful dynamics during his performance, which was very much crafted into several discrete sections.

2022/06 - Volca Harmonicon
video upload by Stereoping
"A little song with some diy-gear. Opening with the Volca Sample running the Pajen firmware which allows endless drones with AMP DECAY fully clockwise. 5 notes are mixed with an external Midicontroller. The Moog #Subharmonicon plays along running through a DIY Axoloti-based Reverb/Delay. Second part played by #Summit, #Subsequent37, #OSCar and #TD-3. The Drums are coming from an old Organ voiceboard which is triggered (and powered) by the DIY-808. Other DIY gear used: Midi-RGB-LED lamp for visual feedback of beat&bar, trigger sequencer synching the Subharmonicum and another axoloti based insert-FX for high-feedback-phasing and high-Q-lowpass."

Com Truise: Mid-Fi Synthwave Slow-Motion Funk — A New Course From Soundfly
video upload by Soundfly
Some nice synth spotting in this one. You can find additional posts mentioning Com Truise here.
"Learn to blend nostalgic synths with driving beats and retro production techniques to create sci-fi-inspired electronic music with our newest course, Com Truise: Mid-Fi Synthwave Slow-Motion Funk, available now at http://soundfly.com/comtruise
Combining a nostalgic reverence for ‘80s drum machines and production techniques with a futuristic sensibility, Com Truise has been building intricate musical worlds that are hypermodern and yet emotionally familiar for over a decade.
In his new course with Soundfly, you’ll discover how Com Truise produces music that is both textural and driving, awash in retro drum sounds and thick clouds of synthesizers. You’ll follow along as he creates a brand new track from scratch, and opens up the sessions to some of his most popular songs, giving you a unique look at how he approaches making music. The unreleased song he builds in the course, "Dynetics," is available exclusively to Soundfly subscribers.
Over more than 30 videos, as well as readings, downloads, stems, and more, Com Truise demonstrates the techniques he uses to pull a track together, building synth patches, sampling retro drum machine sounds, and leveraging ‘80s production techniques to create music that feels both nostalgic and novel. He digs into his sources of inspiration like the sweeping retrofuturistic android astronaut narrative that’s driven many of his albums, as well as visual art, 3D renderings, and more.
Whether you’re an aspiring synthwave artist, a gearhead, or simply someone in need of inspiration and constraints for your next musical project, this in-depth course will help you add an otherworldly quality to your music. Sign up here: https://soundfly.com/courses/com-trui...

Loula Yorke - Busy Visits.. EP005
video upload by ALM TV
Note the eurorack log cases.
"Loula Yorke is a live artist and composer who uses sound, video and participation to create noisy artworks. Dancing in the spaces where the personal meets the political, her electronic music practice conjures moments of revolt as well as revealing hidden systems of control.
We met up with Loula at Asylum Studios to chat about her unique improvisational process, relationship to music and art, and her influences along the way.

"I believe I am up to 54 synths purchased and 34 sold in the last year. I keep saying I'm done but......
- All sound demo segments are played with absolutely no plans for the patches I am going to use or what I am going to play. I'm just winging it. Obviously.
- All audio is recorded dry, straight from the synths. Any effects you hear are internal effects built into that synth.
- All synths and everything else were purchased at regular prices. I have never been given a demo model or even loaned something by any company. I bought all this stuff.
- No, I'm not rich. The buying spree started with selling some synths I already had. Then when I wanted more stuff, I sold off more collectibles I already owned. The synths I decided not to keep then funded more synth purchases. I run a record label by myself and also work a full-time normal job. I worked my ass off for all this stuff.
- Yes, I know I have the Imovie skills of the average 8-year-old. I've never even owned a smart phone.
- This project has been really fun and taught me that the most sought after "classics" are not automatically for everyone. It also taught me that youtube synth demos and comparisons are not the final word. Nothing beats sitting down with an instrument and playing it.
Check out https://secretrecords.bandcamp.com for releases by The Residents, Chrome, Norman Westberg (Swans), etc plus my own Zebras, Logan 5, and VP solo ambient music projects.
