Behringer MS-101 In Pre-Production

"Here is a quick update.

We're now in pre-production with the MS-101. It took longer than we anticipated as we're running our factory at near maximum capacity.

Pre-production means we're now producing around 50 units to ensure everything is in order. Provided we don't find any issues, mass production will then commence a month later, which would be January.

"This synth plays and sounds great. Everything works except the AC adapter plug connection needs replaced (IF YOU WANT TO USE AC). The middle post connection broke off on the port. However this is a very easy fix. Also, the Synth works totally fine without it on batteries. You need to have batteries in the CZ series anyway to save the patches, so there's little reason to worry about the AC adapter. See me playing this EXACT SYNTH in the video."

"Thought I'd try to get a video with some snow falling but whilst the rest of the country received a dusting, here on the South Downs it just rained. It was so warm that I could play without gloves on!
This was my rehearsal take but as you can hear at the end, it had started to rain and so this is what I got before packing up :)

I'm running the 101 through the looper so that I can record parts into it, freeing up tracks on the 101 for other parts, whilst also getting to use the reverse feature.

Oh and nearly forgot...the small mound at the end of the video is a tumulus - a small barrow probably linked to the iron-age hill fort on the Trundle close by.

"A simple recent jam showing how I sequence my Korg Mono/Poly and Roland SH101 with the Elektron Analog 4 Keys. Drums come from Live's Drum Rack. NO talking over the music, recording comes from Ableton Live. Drums were later added. This is not the Behringer Monopoly, this is the real deal. Not saying the Behringer is a bad synth.

Check the slides in the video for additional information on the gear and used plugins and processing! I give away some secret weapons there! Don't lose attention."

"The 101 is sequenced from a Squarp Pyramid via cv and gate with varying note lengths. Filter modulation comes from the Polymath, percussion from an Erica Synths Techno System."

Started as a minimal studio session with DrumBrute Impact, SH-101, TD-3.
Multitracked all the additional instruments in the DAW.
Equipment used:
- Arturia DrumBrute Impact: analog drum machine
- Roland SH-101: syn bass sequence
- Behringer TD-3-AN: 303 line
- Mackie ProFX10v3 mixer
- Squier Vintage Modified jazz fretless bass
- LTD M-53 electric guitar
- all other synths and FX done with the Cubase stock VSTs.
