The Haunted Odyssey (Part II)

trigg015

"Live improvisation starting me and 2 clones!
All sounds created on the spot. Use headphones or good speakers to unleash the full potential of this piece.

GEAR USED:

Left trigg:
Cymbals
Harmonica (going through a Vermona DSR-3)

Upper trigg:
Dave Smith Sequential OB-6
Strymon Timeline

Lower trigg:
Korg Arp Odyssey
Moog Moogerfooger Cluster Flux MF-108M
Vermona DSR-3

I really love the sound of the Vermona reverb on the Odyssey. At first I was planning to upload just the lower trigg-video, but I guess the clones added something nice to the overall spectrum. Don't expect any lyrical melodies in this one though, it's more about sound... but everybody loves sound."

How To use PICO TRIGG & PICO DRUMS to create your favorite patterns in eurorack

Published on Dec 30, 2018 Dziam Bass

"Hi Guys.
I have a small introduction to PICO TRIGG and PICO DRUMS Erica Synths modules when you use it together to trigger your drums and create patterns. Pico TRIGG has mobile application for arranging patterns and loading and storing 8 slots that you can change whenever you want. in this video shows how to do it and also with the use of PICO DRUMS how the whole process works, to relieve your favorite drums with these two modules. Pico DRUMS can handle your samples and you can load 64 samples for each drum, you have controll over Pitch, Decay and Level for each drum, so there are also possibilities as soon as you are bothering you, you can load another sample and so you have a great drum sampler whenever you want to suddenly kick 909 or clap 808 and other your crazy favorite samples."

Eowave - Ricochet (Very fun!)

video upload by NOISEBUG

"Eowave Ricochet is one fun module! Dynamic Trigs, quad-VCA with individual and sum outputs, quad decay envelope that can be "Linked" triggered at the end of the previous cycle, summed and cross-modulated.

This module is perfect for intricate percussive patterns. Add your favorite VCO and/or noise source, or use the built-in noise generator to get rolling rhythm, tight burst fills, and much much more.

The Ricochet can be expanded using the included jumper cable for twice the excitement. C\

Check out Ricochet at Noisebug
https://www.noisebug.net/products/eow..."

"The module's design is inspired by the way skipping stones bounce on the water, creating a versatile tool for crafting percussive sounds.

The exponential envelopes are specifically designed to generate dynamic percussive tones. The unique linking function connects the end of one envelope's decay to the trigger of the next, enabling the subsequent envelope to activate once the previous one ends. This innovative feature allows you to create ratcheted envelope.

A front-panel trimmer lets you adjust the threshold for triggering subsequent envelopes, while a rear header enables connecting two Ricochet modules together ,or linking the last envelope to the first. This feature transform the Ricochet to a weird sequencer where the steps length depend of the decay times.

Since Ricochet is fully analogic, trig inputs are velocity-sensitive, responding to a standard gates but also allowing attenuation to modify the envelope's velocity (you can play with the dynamic of your sound by attenuating the trigg input. Ricochet is also perfect to play with drum pads).

Each VCA features a gain control that can be pushed to achieve subtle saturation.

All envelopes and VCAs have separate outputs, but there are also mixed audio and envelope outputs. When an individual output is connected, it is removed from the mix. The decay modulation inputs are normalized between each other.

Last but not least, an analog noise generator is normalised to the first input, so you can use ricochet on it's own to create hi hat kind of sounds

MAIN FEATURES :
- Fully analog design so everything is responsive to the amplitude
- Unique linked envelopes feature
- Compact 4 envelopes 4 VCAs module
- Linkable to a second ricochet or looping back the last enveloppe to the first one

SOME APPLICATIONS :
- Envelope generator
- Drum shaper
- Hi-hat
- Clap envelope shaper( with short ratcheted envelopes)
- Envelope sequencer
- Trigg delay
- Burst generator

TECHNICAL DETAILS:
- Fully Analog design
- 14hp
- Skiff friendly
- Reverse power protection"

Befaco I² – INSTRUMENT INTERFACE Eurorack Module

via Befaco

Available assembled or as a DIY kit.

"Sometimes the interaction between a modular system and other musical instruments (electronic or acoustic) is needed. With an envelope follower circuit we can achieve a direct control of the amplitude of the signal.

It will produce a control voltaje proportional to the amplitude. Allowing a real communication between our system and the external sound source.

Instrument interface module has the following blocks:

“PREAMP”
With two audio inputs (6.5 jack and Minijack/banana), input apmlification is controlled with “GAIN” pot, controlling the amplitude of the envelopes that will be generated.

Minimum signal required to generate the maximum envbelope is 200mV peak and allows up to 5v input.

“BPF”
The signal will pass thru a band pass filter with cutoff frequency and band width control via “FREQ” and “WIDTH” pots.

Like this we will select the frequency range that will generate our control signal.

After this stage the signal will be outputed with synth level via “AUDIO OUT”.

“ENV.FOLLOWER”
After filtering the signal it will feed “RESPONSE” stage, that will determine envelope follower response velocity. It features a “HIGH”, “MEDIUM” and “lOW” selector switch to get an optimal envelope for different kind of signals. “FOLLO OUT” will otput the envelope extracted and show us it’s level via a LED. Green: Medium level, Orange: High level and Red: Max. Level.

“ENV.REGENERATOR”

“REGE OUT” is a re-generated envelope that will allow controlling the rise of the evelope with “ATTACK” and the fall with “DECAY”, making them longer or shorter.
It features a LED indicator for the regenerated evelope level. Green: Medium level, Orange: High level, Red: Max. Level.

“TRIG.EXTRACTOR”

With “THRESHOLD” pot we control the level of a comparator that determines when “GATE OUT” and “TRIGG OUT outputs will be activated.

“GATE OUT” will be at high level while the envelope is over the threshold we set, while TRIGG OUT is present just when the threshold is passed.

Indication LEDS will show when the outputs are active."

Arturia Drumbrute Impact /Rebach Analog VCO GR11 Modular eurorack connect

Published on Sep 25, 2018 Dziam Bass

"Hi Friends.
I connected the modular synthesizer via the built-in clock in Arturia DrumBrute Impact.
I used only one VCO GR11 from Rebach to show how cool it works.
sound Drum FM from Drumbrute Impact I gave to 1 out of 4 an individual out which has on the back of the device and added to the modulation in Erica Synths Black Dual VCF combined with Black Modulator.
I gave some arrangements with the Drumbrute Impact mute for fun.
DrumBrute Impact has quite a lot of distortion on the sum also is built in, so the sounds are very saturated.
clock in Impact is available for master clock from PICO TRIGG, the main clock module in PICO System II from Erica Synths.
it's just a small connection but you can think of what can be if you combine more modulation and this drum machine.!!!"

ARA-Serpens Modular/Anima and Altar Filter -Ritual Electronics

Dziam Bass

"Hello all.
The last two modules I have opened are the new ARA- sequential switch from Serpens Modular and Anima from Ritual Electronics.
I recorded a small patch with these modules when ARA is as a sequencer and Anima has dual digital VCO and EG and LFO, but I only used one VCO and the other I used envelope.
from another module I added lfo for decay and curves changes so from time to time they change in motion. I added Altar filter also from Ritual which adds character to Anima.
I added Drums from Pico Drums triggered via Pico TRIGG from Erica Synths.
I recommend checking these Serpens and Ritual modules because they give you a lot of possibilities and have great performance.
for me it is a lot of fun but also a lot of possibilities which I discover every time I exceed my thoughts on this module and come out great new sounds and sequences which normally I would not put together without the input of these modules when they go further than I can consciously do.
Thanks for ur time and watching and have a GREAT MODULAR day."

Some Techno with modules from Erica Synths

Published on Jun 7, 2020 Dziam Bass

"Hey.

Ok, after two weeks break from the modular first patch I made in this video.

I had the entire case with Erica Synths modules in my hand including the 2x84 Hp case and I used several of them like Pico Drums for drums with Pico Noise and Pico Trigg Pico RND,Pico vca, as well as VCO graphic VCO with my favorite LFO Black Octasource, Pico SEq and Fusion modulator Black Dual VCF for oscillators and Fusion MIxer to add some tubes sounds.

sometimes in brekadown big WET signals via Black Hole DSP for the sequence from Graphic VCO which creates this similar sound pad, it blurs the background so I decided to use it as a texture in breakdown.

So have fun and Big thanks for watching ;-)"

"Hello Guys.
I have today a small movie with the use of Pico SEQ2 2-4 Step Sequencer from Erica Synths.
I also used the Pico VCO 2 analog oscillator - this is the second version of PICO VCO, the first PICO VCO is digital and offers 32 waveforms.
I added a new PICO LPG and I connected the trigger from PICO TRIGG to get a sequence jump, the trigger introduces a new rhythm of what is cool when you want to break PICO SEQ2. For this Pico EG I KICK from PICO NOISE also the newest module in this series which is a nice source for your DRUMS."
