New Polyend Drums Analog / Digital Drum Machine Incoming

video upload by Polyend

"Drums is an analog and digital drum machine built for immediacy, depth, and performance."

Features.

Analog voices.
Four analog voices built on modern SSI chips create a dense, classic tone with modern flexibility. Each stacks dual analog VCOs, a dedicated noise source, and additional digital oscillator for hybrid layering or precise FM modulation. Each shaped through a multimode analog filter and VCA, giving you everything from tight percussion to evolving synth textures.

Instruments.
Multiple analog and digital synthesis methods, sample-based instruments, and eight independent LFOs give you the core tools for creating and modulating drum sounds. With over forty instruments, each containing its own sub-mode mutations, you get hundreds of options to choose from.

Live performance.
Drums is designed for real-time control. Use the X0Y fader to morph kits, trigger fills instantly, and switch between patterns or sound kits without stopping playback. Key parameters stay close, so changes can be made while the pattern is running.

Effects.
Drums includes three dedicated effects groups. Send effects for shared processing. Insert effects for individual tracks. A master chain for the final mix. Inserts can be sequenced per track, so effects become part of the rhythm rather than something added at the end.

Power
The device runs on a dual-core main CPU, with auxiliary processors handling peripherals and analog control. Internal audio processing is done in 32-bit floating point at 96kHz, with 24-bit/96 kHz DAC and ADC conversion for audio input and output.

Ins & Outs.
2 × 1/4” audio out jacks
8 × 1/4” individual track output jacks
1 × 1/4” stereo headphone jack

Superbooth 26 - Xaoc Devices Introduces Skopje & Budapeszt

Superbooth 26 - Xaoc Devices Skopje & Budapeszt

Xaoc Devices proudly debuts two new products at Superbooth 26: Skopje 1988 Dual Quantizer and Budapeszt 1972 Exploratory Stereophonic Spectral Lattice Network. Here is some information on the modules.

On the surface, Skopje is a seemingly simple compact (6HP) dual quantizer with two independent channels. However, some clever features coupled with high-precision A/D and D/A converters make it a complex (though extremely easy to use) compositional tool suitable for all kinds of musical outcomes. The user interface is similar to Zadar with frontpanel labels clearly indicating the features available for adjustment. No menu diving as the small OLED display is only used for selecting banks and scales. Each channel is able to quantize its input to a different scale from a different bank (up to 100 banks each containing up to a 100 scales - if you're deranged enough to need as many... ;-). Skopje stores its data on a regular microSD card. The module supports its own very simple scale format (a straghtforward TXT file you prepare on your computer), as well as any of the abundant SCALA files you throw at it. You can mix and match different scale format files in one bank. Various tuning systems and description formats supported. Microtonality galore! Our own scale programming system additionaly includes a few clever features, e.g., various voltage limiting settings. But there's more.

Got a lovely sounding VCO, but with volt/octave tracking leaving something to be desired? Skopje to the rescue - you can quickly calibrate any of its channels to fit your VCO like a glove for precise tracking! Other notable features include: glide, scale switching via triggers or CV (great as a performance/compositional tool with your own scales/note combinations), and transposition (including unquantized for vibrato).

Skopje is in production and will be available in June 2026.

PS Yes, this is a game of life screen saver on Skopje in one of the photos :-)

MAIN FEATURES:
- dual quantizer with precision A/D & D/A converters
- highly customizable
- compatible with microtonal scales
- OLED display for ease of use
- up to 100 banks, each with up to 100 scales
- VCO calibration feature
- data stored on microSD card
- SCALA file support
- 6HP

BUDAPESZT — 1972 Exploratory Stereophonic Spectral Lattice Network

Budapeszt is a stereo dual spectral processor built around the interference of resonant structures. It features two independently tunable comb-type filters with six distinct modes. Each filter has its own set of controls, with two separate triangle LFO's providing internal modulation (with free and synced operation, and an envelope follower mode on top). The real magic happens in the interference between two stereo filters though. The overlap of two resonant structures weaves a spectral lattice: a complex grid of peaks and voids. The final geometry of that lattice is determined by the relationship between the channels rather than by either one in isolation. To encourage experimentation and for even more sonic flexibility, multiple feedback paths are available, including cross-coupled feedback between the filters. There's also a feedback phase inversion switch for each filter.

Filter modes include delay-based, phase-based, and filterbank-based approaches to shaping the frequency domain. The first mode draws on a signal model inherited from Xaoc Devices Samarkanda, enabling artifact-free pitch behavior across the full frequency range. The remaining modes distribute resonant energy in ways ranging from the mathematically orderly to the perversely irregular. That being said, more familiar results, like flanging and chorus, are also easily attainable - delivered by Budapeszt with unusual precision.

Budapeszt is equally at ease processing oscillator waveforms and complex samples. It eagerly responds to short triggers with percussive transients whose character depends entirely on what the two channels are doing to each other. The interaction between the two channels is the instrument. Two channels agree, and the result is color. Two channels disagree, and the result is stormy weather. The space between agreement and disagreement is where Budapeszt lives.

LFOs + Logic = Ace! // Halo from Vostok Instruments

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
video upload by DivKid

"Here we have the new 'Halo' from Vostok Instruments and a video that is a demo of Halo and also a load of use cases for LFOs in a modular system going from more simple to more advanced applications. I hope you find the techniques useful for a range of LFOs and that it gives you ideas about Halo with its 4 LFOs and multiple output logic section."

Halo is a compact quad LFO designed to provide a large amount of modulation in 10HP.

The module generates up to 16 simultaneous signals covering a wide range from classic triangle and square waves to complex logic-based sources.

Each channel is built on a CV-controlled analog core and offers two selectable frequency ranges, finely tuned to cover most applications.

The Logic section creates new waveforms from each channel pair using analog boolean circuits for AND, OR, and XOR operations, as well as a mix of both channels.

Halo counts with the classic Vostok design layout, making it friendly and accessible to any user, yet also deep and powerful in functionality, allowing you to create an entire array of modulation goodness in a compact form.

Features

Four analog CV-controlled LFOs.
Manual and CV-controlled Frequency per channel.
Triangle and Square waveforms per channel.
Selectable frequency range from >2min to 80Hz.
Dedicated Logic section adding 8 extra modulation outputs with AND, OR, XOR, and MIX operations for each pair of channels.
16 simultaneous modulation outputs covering a wide span of complexity in 10HP.

New from 4ms Company, the Leveling EQ Amplifier!

video upload by 4ms Company

"Announcing the Leveling EQ Amplifier: stereo widening, Neve 1073 style EQ, and LA-2A style optical compression in 14hp. $345 available June 30th from your favorite synth retailer."

The Leveling EQ Amplifier is an end-of-chain audio processor designed to polish individual elements of a patch, stereo bus, or full master bus.

Inspired by the simple interfaces and pleasing sounds of two cornerstones of mixing, the LA-2A optical compressor and the 1073 EQ, the LEQA combines a compressor, an equalizer, and a modern Stereo Width Processor in one 14HP package.

Rather than being fully parametric, pre-defined curves and frequency selections make the art of mixing intuitive. Very little effort is needed for great sounding mixes.

The compressor mimics optical compression, which is a beautifully simple concept that yields incredibly musical results.

The EQ section is built to help accentuate and excite your mix, clear up muddled sounds, and increase the overall headroom.

The Stereo Width Processor adjusts the stereo image, letting you dial back a wide image into a cohesive sound, or push a normal stereo signal into "super stereo" territory. When used with mono sources, it can widen mono sources into stereo using a combination of psychoacoustic techniques.

The Leveling EQ Amplifier excels in live performances, studio work, subtle utility tasks, extreme sonic sculpting, audio "glue" to hold a patch together, and as an effect in its own right.

Global release date: June 30th, 2026.

The Queen’s Court is Coming to SUPERBOOTH

via Shakmat:

"Superbooth is around the corner and I’m happy to finally unveil the prototype we’re going to show this year.

The Queen’s Court is a new kind of stereo matrix mixer, combining a fully analog signal path with deep digital control — and removing the need for external modulation. Designed for performance as much as for studio work, it brings hands-on control, internal modulation, and preset morphing into a single, cohesive instrument.

At its core, The Queen’s Court offers 4 stereo inputs (configurable as stereo or dual mono), 3 auxiliary stereo inputs, and 4 stereo outputs — all freely routable within a flexible matrix and it embeds modulation directly into the routing structure.

The Queen’s Court integrates 36 internal modulators directly into the matrix.

Per-input panning with LFO-based autopanning
Per-routing-point bipolar envelopes, triggerable via CV or extracted from audio signals
Integrated LFOs on each routing point, with sine and random waveforms, clock-syncable
This enables advanced behaviors such as internal sidechaining, dynamic routing, and animated spatial movement — without relying on external modules.

Designed with an open-ended philosophy, The Queen’s Court can function as:

a self-contained matrix mixer
a performance mixer
a feedback processor
a routing hub for audio and CV
Oh and the system can also be expanded with up to two expanders, increasing the total to:
8 stereo inputs
5 auxiliary stereo inputs
4 outputs
8 CV inputs"

The FOURM — Here's What It Can Do

video upload by Starsky Carr

"I've spent months building a full 128-patch sound bank for the *Sequential FOURM*, and this is your chance to hear it in action.

The bank includes 50 bass tones (covering everything from deep analogue subs to punchy, cutting leads), classic Prophet-5 patches, and a wide range of sounds designed to be genuinely usable in a mix straight out of the box.

The FOURM isn't trying to be a Prophet-5 or a Pro-One — and that's the point. It can go places those synths simply can't.

All patches are demonstrated dry and some with a simple reverb or chorus to demonstrate what it would sound like in a mix. So what you hear is the real character of the synth.

Download the pack and add your own reverb, delay, or chorus and they open up even further.

✅ Mix-ready sounds designed for real music production
✅ 50 bass tones + leads, pads, keys & classic analogue voices
✅ Prophet-5 inspired patches reimagined for the FOURM
✅ In sysex and SoundTower formats
✅ Full 128-patch bank — one complete sound library"

Cuckoo Introduces the SVENSSON 49 Looping Keyboard by AUXY

I gave the new SVENSSON 49 keyboard my sound signature! Dream collab with AUXY!
video upload by True Cuckoo

"Everything about the new SVENSSON 49 keyboard by AUXY, in this friendly Tutorial."

"Svensson 49 is a digital keyboard with expressive sounds, a playful looper, and a personality of its own.

No menus to dive through. No manual to read before you start. Just play, loop, and explore your musical ideas.

Svensson uses a mix of samples and wavetables to generate sounds that range from acoustic to synthetic, with a special focus on everything in between.

The sounds are designed by Cuckoo. We love how much care he puts into making his sounds feel colorful and expressive, and how naturally he blends synths with pianos and other acoustic instruments.

Loop and Layer
Svensson keeps track of the notes you play, so you don’t have to hit record before you start. If you like what you just played, hit Loop to capture it.

The four sound categories are also separate parts that can be looped individually. Loops can be as long as you want, and you can add as many layers as you want.

Build Quality
Svensson has a metal body with solid oak sides and is manufactured in Germany. It uses a Fatar keyboard with 49 semi-weighted, velocity-sensitive keys.

The built-in speaker is custom-made by Swedish speaker guru Ingvar Öhman. It's surprisingly loud and lets you play so other people can hear without additional gear. Perfect for living room jams.

Connections
Sustain pedal
Stereo line out
Headphones
USB-A for class-compliant audio and MIDI
USB-C for power and data

Patching Exciting Modulation for Filters // FIRST PATCH with Swell from Bartola Instruments

video upload by DivKid

"Here we have the new Swell Eurorack filter and valve gain stage from Bartola Instruments. We'll be exploring this in the usual in depth DivKid demo style in the future but wanted to share our literal first patch playing around with saturating, character oozing valve distortion and filtering ... and in doing so, share some modulation tips about how we like to patch modulation, mixing sources and making things feel exciting and dynamic. I hope the patch notes below are useful and let us know what you'd like to see more of with Swell."

"*PATCH NOTES*

The simple bit first - AUDIO PATH - two saw wave oscillators, changing the octaves between them at points, mixed into 'Swell' and then output into some stereo FX for background ambience.

The modulation is where this gets exciting going into the FM input (which modules filter cut off frequency) is my main envelope, a simple decay envelope. Resonance is modulated by a step sequence (external attenuation is the key here). Then the v/oct input is used as a place to input a mix of modulation. The first is an accent envelope, patching a less dense gate rhythm into a second envelope and patching that into a mixer. Then outputting the mixer into the v/oct input of the filter. The second is then the same step sequence as the resonance.

So with the mixer into the v/oct and the FM input I have 3 modulation sources modulating the filter frequency - main envelope, accent envelope & step sequence.

Modules used - Thonk Synth VCO, Joranalogue Cycle 5, TINRS Next Tuesday, Making Sound Machines Multiplikand, Bartola Instruments Swell, WMD + Infrasonic Audio Cosmis Debris, Vostok Instruments Fuji, Apollo View IOU, Thonk Synth dual VCA.

THIS VIDEO IS SPONSORED BY BARTOLA INSTRUMENTS* they have funded the creation of this first patch video and future demo video with Swell. Any questions just ask."

Modified Univox Mini-Korg For Sale

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
video upload by tonetweakers

via Tonetweakers

"Univox Mini-Korg Synthesizer 700 For Sale. This Minikorg has been meticulously refurbished by perfectionists and is in perfect working order and ready to play.

This unit has some very useful modifications that expand its capabilities.

Adjustable Resonance
The stock minikorg just has a single switch for resonance boost, but this one's got 2 additional rotary pots added for variable resonance of the high pass and low pass filters - it really lets this minikorg scream! This mod alone is a huge improvement over a standard minikorg.

Filter Input
There's also an audio input allowing one to process external sounds through its filters.

Adjustable Chorus Rate
There's a pot to adjust the rate of chorus 1.

Octave and Waveform Mixing
These mods give you the ability to mix waveforms and octave divisions, resulting in a fatter sound. These mods are a bit strange and interact with the octave and waveform switches, so they take a little getting used to.

These additional octave and waveform pots are active at the very top of their range and are more like switches and are sometimes inactive, depending on your settings. Sometimes octave switch settings will cause a drop in volume if the appropriate knobs are not adjusted, and sometimes there will be a change in timbre of the selected waveforms if the knobs are not adjusted properly. It's a bit confusing at first. We can probably remove these mods for you if you'd like so the octave and waveform switches work as they normally would in a stock unit, but this will remove the ability to mix waveforms and octave divisions - please email us to discuss if you'd like these mods removed (we would just remove the wires connecting the mods, not the additional pots).

These mods give this minikorg more sonic possibilities than a stock unit and add value to this example.

We paid our tech for 5 hours of skilled labor to get this unit working great again. In addition to fixing any problems, he did the following servicing:

Cleaned jacks
Replaced all power supply electrolytic capacitors (he says someone previously replaced the other electrolytic capacitors)
Replaced fuse
Cleaned and lubed all pots
Calibrated VCO"

Introducing Plinky 12 Blocks, Chords and Toadstep

video upload by Making Sound Machines

Additional videos below.

"We are super excited to introduce 3 new instruments today! Plinky 12 is a family of expressive polyphonic touch synthesizers. The three instruments are built around a shared synth engine. Designed by mmalex, it evokes the unmistakable melancholic sounds of the original Plinky. https://plinky12.com

Each instrument is designed in collaboration with a different synth maker, lending each panel a distinct playability and unique character.

Plinky 12 Chords is a harmonic inspiration machine. It lets you improvise melodies and chords, with expressive control over voicings, progressions, and immediate musical play. Created by Making Sound Machines, Chords is the panel for finding beautiful harmonic movement quickly.

Plinky 12 Toadstep is a 4-track step sequencer built for super funky riffs, experimental self-generative melodies, and good ol' Acid. Created by Toadstool Tech, the designer behind the Ectocore Eurorack module, Toadstep is fun, immediate and easy to jam with!

Plinky 12 Blocks is an open panel built for experimentation, with monome-grid compatibility, Plinky style touch synthesis, and a browser-based coding environment just a click away. While it comes with a fully playable design out of the gate, creator mmalex invites you to build your own adventure with this panel. If you can imagine it, you can make it!

In this video, Enrica and Roland from Making Sound Machines explore the three new Plinky 12 instruments: Blocks, Chords and Toadstep from left to right.

The track builds on a repeating loop created with the built-in sequencer on Plinky 12 Toadstep. The short sequence uses rhythmic step repeats, track step length and animated synth parameters to create an ostinato that keeps sonically evolving over the length of the track.

As the piece continues, Roland plays a progression of harmonies from the rainbow chord palette on Plinky 12 Chords, before launching a sequence that reharmonizes the loop heard from Toadstep. Enrica joins in playing sparkling arpeggios with her fingertips on Plinky 12 Blocks, the surface with the sunset colour-fade print.

As the track progresses, Roland plays a melodic line on Chords, then Enrica takes over with a melody on blocks. The Plinky 12 polyphonic play surface reads both play position and pressure of the touch. It enables bends and glides on the horizontal axis, while allowing for discrete arps in the vertical direction.

They end the piece with a tempo transition showcasing the septuplet feature on the internal sequencer."
