New additions: sounds for every style and stage Newly added is the legendary semi-modular synth, Absynth 6, known for its evolving, otherworldly tones. Also included are Noire and Claire – sampled from rare grand pianos – and the ethereal vocal soundscapes of Moments: Vocal Clouds.

Two KETRON SOLTON PROGRAMMER 24 synthesizers synchronized with each other and to a MINIMOOG

Kawai K3m w/ Original Box

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this Reverb listing

"For sale is a collector-grade Kawai K3m in excellent condition, the iconic 1986 hybrid rack synthesizer known for its unmistakable blend of digital additive waves and warm analog filters and this one is among the nicest examples you’re likely to come across.

This unit has been exceptionally well cared for. The front panel, buttons, and display are all clean, responsive, and in excellent shape. The chassis shows only very light surface scratches consistent with normal aging and nothing that affects performance or presentation. No rust, no dents, no rack rash. Everything functions exactly as it should. This K3m includes the original box, which is extremely uncommon and makes it especially appealing to any collector who values originality and provenance.

If you’ve been waiting for a near-mint, investment-worthy K3m that has the look, feel, and reliability of a top-tier example, this one checks every box.

The K3m has gained significant interest in recent years thanks to its unique voice architecture: additive digital waveforms running through warm analog filters. It occupies a sonic space very few synthesizers, and certainly no plugin, can convincingly emulate. It’s pure mid-’80s character, from shimmering pads to darkwave textures to cutting synth-pop leads.

Collector Highlights:
• 1986 original in exceptional condition
• Very minimal wear
• Fully functional with no operational issues
• Includes the original box
• Original buttons, screen, and panel components
• Hybrid architecture: 32 digital additive waves → analog low-pass filter
• A historically significant Kawai design with growing collector interest
• Perfect for studios, synth enthusiasts, and vintage rack collectors"

"If you’re looking for an RA Moog–era Minimoog Model D on a budget, this is a great opportunity. The previous owner replaced all four of the original mainboards with new units from SynthRestore.co.uk; unfortunately, the original boards have been lost to time. While this does impact the instrument’s value from a collector’s standpoint, it is fully functional and performs reliably.

The exterior cabinet is in excellent condition and may have been rebuilt or replaced, along with a fresh set of knobs. Overall, it’s a fantastic player’s instrument with vintage character at a more accessible price.

Anthony Marinelli Music Synth Studio Revealed | Studio Tour 2025

video upload by Anthony Marinelli Music

"I finally agreed to make a video showing my synthesizer studio. I'm NOT a collector, so you'll see the instruments I've used for over four decades to do my work. It's also my space for composing. In this deep dive studio tour, I walk you through every corner of my space, showing how everything’s connected for performing, recording, and creative flow.

You’ll see icons like the 'Plantasia' Moog Modular IIIc, Synclavier II, Rhodes Chroma with Expander & Enabler, Oberheim Four Voice, Elka Synthex, Roland Jupiter 8, Sequential Circuits Prophet-5, ARP 2600s, Korg MS modular synths, some classic Minimoog — plus a few modern synths I’ve added as I look to the future. Alongside the synths are vintage drum machines, string machines, and rare electric keyboards including a 1973 Fender Rhodes Suitcase and Hohner Clavinet/Pianet Duo.

We'll also explore racks of outboard gear, vocoder units, tape echoes, and a vast array of my custom guitar pedal options, efx pedal boards and studio effects racks that make this room endlessly inspiring. I'll also reveal how my entire studio is designed for instant creativity, featuring 48 channels of synth drivers and stage boxes, so any synth can be patched and recorded on the fly."

Korg PS-3200 (1978) - Professionally Restored Full System

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this Reverb listing

"Korg PS-3200 - A fully configured system that's been fully cosmetically and operationally restored.

One of the finest fully configured surviving examples of Korg’s iconic PS-3200 — a true masterpiece of 1970s analogue engineering, fully restored for the modern collector.

Servicing Status

KSR has undertaken an extensive cosmetic and operational restoration of this PS-3200, a project spanning several years but largely completed by the end of 2024 — thanks to the exceptional work of Kent Spong of KSR. The Korg has been held in our secure facility throughout 2025, so post-sale, we will have the instrument and all accessories fully checked before shipping or delivering to the new owner. This process will add approximately 10 to 14 days to the post-sale completion time.

Remarks

We have decided to offer for sale our complete Korg PS-3200 System, which forms part of the RL Music Vintage Synthesizer Collection. Over the last 22 years, we’ve retained a small number of the finest vintage synthesizers to pass through our hands — instruments we found particularly inspiring or significant. This PS-3200 is one such example and has been the subject of a full and detailed cosmetic and operational restoration by our trusted vintage synth technician, Kent Spong of KSR.

It is generally accepted that Korg produced only around 200 units of the PS-3200, although the exact number is difficult to verify. Whether 100 or 500 were made, production was certainly very limited, making this an exceptionally rare, hand-built instrument by any measure.

Due to the rarity and individual nature of instruments like this, we’ve taken great care to provide a comprehensive and honest description of this PS-3200. We encourage any prospective buyer to ensure they have all the information needed to make an informed purchase decision — and of course, we are happy to answer any questions directly.

Provenance

We purchased this PS-3200 from a UK seller (an experienced user) in 2015 and collected it personally from their studio in the South of England. At the time, the instrument was fully working but had not been professionally serviced, so we decided to retain it within our PS-series collection — completing the full lineup — and plan its restoration later.

The overall condition was original and very good but showing signs of cosmetic age typical for a 35+-year-old synthesizer. We therefore elected to undertake a full operational and cosmetic restoration. While the market for highly restored vintage synths has cooled in recent years — as values for unrestored examples have climbed — our motivation for this restoration was personal rather than commercial, as the PS-3200 has always been part of our private collection.

System Configuration

PS-3200 Main Frame
PS-3010 Keyboard Controller
PS-3001 Interconnect Cable
PS-3030 Remote
PS-3001 Interconnect Cable (second)
PS-3040 Dual Pedal
Kenton MIDI Retrofit Kit fitted
This particular PS-3200 includes the extremely rare PS-3030 Remote, a unique device allowing live performers access to the patch memories — a groundbreaking feature for 1978.

Rare Vintage KORG KEIO (?) CHECKMATE Drum Machine

Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this Reverb listing

This appears to be the first one to be featured on the site. It looks a bit like the Wexler ROCKMATE. Teisco made a CHECKMATE keyboard. You can fhand a handful of posts mentioning CHECKMATE here.

Details via the listing:

"A vintage Checkmate drum machine, a true gem from the early days of rhythm boxes. This unit is as much a visual statement as it is a piece of music history: with its golden front panel and large knobs, it’s a guaranteed eye-catcher in any studio or collection.

Fully serviced: all electrolytic capacitors have been replaced, ensuring reliable operation.

Everything works as it should – all rhythms, switches, and controls have been tested.

Runs on a single 9V battery inside the unit, making it portable and hassle-free.

About the Checkmate

The Checkmate belongs to the family of early preset rhythm machines from the late 1960s/early 1970s, often linked with Korg’s DoncaMatic line. These units were designed for accompaniment but quickly became collectible for their quirky analog character and stunning design.

Limited but charming selection of preset rhythms.

Simple analog sound circuitry with a warm, nostalgic tone.

Rarely seen today, making it highly desirable for collectors of vintage drum machines.

Why You’ll Love It

While it won’t replace a modern drum computer in terms of versatility, the Checkmate delivers something unique:

A rare piece of music history that shaped the early years of electronic rhythm.

Unmatched aesthetics – the gold panel and oversized knobs look fantastic both in use and as a display piece.

Collector’s must-have – these machines are increasingly hard to find in good working order.

If you’re a vintage synth/drum machine enthusiast, this is a rare opportunity to own a serviced and working Checkmate drum machine. Perfect as a collector’s item, studio conversation piece, or source of authentic retro rhythms."

FutureRetro Announces 777 Re-issue

via Kickstarter

"The Return of a Legend - Our Re-issue of the 777 analog synthesizer with Updated Sequencer Features from the Revolution and Swynx!

In 1997, The 777 was the first 303 clone to include the all-important sequencer, and provide real-time editing of patterns during playback. However, it really was much more than a clone..

...The first 30 units produced were the purple 777 models. Approximately 25 of the blue 777 models were then produced. There were 7 custom hand-brushed silver front panels created, and only 3 of those were ever sold to the public. The white 777 is the only one in existence. The majority of 777’s produced were the black and white models. Notice these models had slightly different screen-printing with the 777 name typed out instead of using a symbol like the first models had. ...It sounded fabulous but also caused the output to increase drastically in volume. So a completely new overdrive stage was implemented on later models that kept the output more consistent as the overdrive was increased. I would say later models had a cleaner sound overall, and slightly better stability.

All 777’s were hand assembled, and the first 200 plus units of the 777 were made entirely by myself. It took at least 8 hours to assemble a single unit. As demand grew for the 777, I hired another hand assembly company to do the majority of component placement, while I focused on final assembly, testing, and tuning of each unit, and the day-to-day chores of running a business. The 777 quickly became the acid synth of choice by many well known artists including: Skylab2000, Uberzone, The Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, KMFDM, Nine Inch Nails, Jason Nevins, Air Liquide, Alex Gopher, Richie Hawtin, Aphex Twin, BT, The Juan MacLean, Terra Firma/Union Jack, Nortec Collective, Atomic Babies, Electric Skychurch, and many others. Bands like Hardfloor and Plastikmand inspired the original concept for the 777, with the minimal acid house music they were creating using only a drum machine or two, and a TB-303.

I wanted to create similar music using only the 777, as digital multi-tracking was becoming more accessible at that time. The 777 provided built in distortion to achieve those ripping acid leads that were becoming popular, and also provided enough additional circuitry to allow analog percussion and other sounds to be generated. The 777 was originally called the Bassix, which can be seen printed on the PC boards. Although it was never publicly called this, it was simply a nickname given during development. This was a derived combination of the TB-303’s “Bassline” name and the TR-606’s “Drumatix” name. As this unit could sound like the 303, but its sequencer operated more like the 606 with its live note entry and editing features.

In 2003 production of the 777 stopped, with a total of 678 units being produced in all. These units quickly became collector like commodities, and continue to command high prices in the used market. We are very excited to bring it back! As of 2025 we have been prototyping the 777 for over 2 years to bring it back to the market. We have been through many iterations of the analog board in order to make it sound as much like my personal vintage unit while also designing it for manufacture.

Now we are asking for you help to do it the way we would like to. We are wanting to upgrade the processor and code base so that we have the ability to include the remix feature from the Revolution/Orb sequencers as well as the time signatures and swing features from the SWYNX!"

See Kickstarter for additional details.

Hotone Verbera Convolution Reverb + Synthesizer Demo

video upload by HotoneAudio

"Step into a universe of lush, immersive soundscapes with the Hotone Verbera. In this video, we explore unique presets paired with expressive IRs, showcasing how Verbera transforms a synthesizer’s tone into a cinematic journey. From deep ambient washes to rhythmic, pulsing reverbs, discover the power of convolution and algorithmic reverb in one compact pedal.

Featured Presets & IRs:
00:07 - 001 - Verbera / IR: Space VAB Sd
00:41 - 024 – Multi Universe / IR: Time Slip
01:18 - 028 – Disco Elysiumt / IR: Ping Pong Fun
02:10 - 062 - Flap Wings / IR: Rain Field

Perfect for synth players, guitarists, and sonic explorers alike."

Ever imagined your sound echoing through a sold-out stadium? Or reverberating off the metallic walls of a NASA spacecraft hangar? What if your guitar fell into a cosmic white hole… or drifted through the vaulted ceilings of a centuries-old cathedral?

Welcome to Verbera — where imagination meets reality. This is not your typical software convolution plugin. Verbera is a standalone, hardware-based convolution reverb pedal — with Instant IR loading, stunning tweakability, and boundless sonic range. Whether you’re recreating iconic spaces, vintage hardware, or crafting otherworldly reverbs never heard before, Verbera gives musicians and engineers a powerful new tool for both live and studio setups.

Step Into Iconic Spaces and Classic Gear with a Single Click
Verbera ships with 120 world-class impulse responses (IRs) — captured in breathtaking detail from legendary spaces like symphony halls, European cathedrals, even aerospace facilities. You’ll also find IRs modeled after classic studio gear like spring and plate reverbs. Massive or intimate, modern or retro — Verbera brings those sonic environments directly under your feet.

Reverbs from Another Dimension
Verbera isn’t just about realism — it’s about reinvention. Beyond the meticulously captured IRs, you’ll find a curated library of original Hotone-crafted IRs that stretch the limits of your imagination. Think sci-fi-inspired synth atmospheres, time-warping delay trails, shimmering textures pulled straight from a “white hole” in space. These are not your standard reverbs — they’re creative catalysts designed to inspire your next masterpiece.

Dual Reverb Engine for Deep-Dimensional Sound Design
At the heart of Verbera is a dual-engine design. On one side: the IR convolution engine, capturing the nuanced reflections of real spaces and gear. On the other: XR, a finely tuned algorithmic reverb that brings surreal, hyper-dimensional ambiance to your sound. Layer them. Shape them. And with a single tap, freeze the XR reverb to create endlessly evolving textures and ambient pads.

Cutting-Edge Convolution Tech, Instant IR loading
Powered by Hotone’s proprietary low-latency convolution engine, Verbera delivers studio-grade reverb tails — up to 10 seconds stereo or 20 seconds mono — without skipping a beat. Switch IRs on the fly with zero audio dropout. This is next-gen performance that blows past traditional limitations.
