"As I get things back together in the studio and try some different layouts here is a quick live jam of a little funky riff I was playing around with. I ended up playing a similar lead part on the Oberheim OB-8, then the Roland Jupiter 6, and then the Roland VK-7 combo organ over a bass line I forgot to lay down towards the beginning. Kinda fun and chill, definitely some retro 80's sounds....enjoy!

"I was recently able to acquire one of my bucket list synths in the Oberheim OB-8 and have been enjoying getting to know it lately. As in all these vintage analog synths they each have their own personality and life to them. The electronic components and voltages combined with age and calibration will never make any two sound exactly the same. There is a depth and space to the natural analog sound waves that is so easy to get lost in sometimes. I enjoy going into the studio and just hearing them speak back as keys are pressed. Tonight I just spent some time in front of these four... The Obeheim OB-8, Arp Odyssey Mk1, Roland Jupiter 6, and the Roland Juno 6 ...and was able to capture this. Enjoy these Sounds from the Sandbox."

Bars can be tuned by adjusting their length. You can change the rate at which a dripper emits droplets by turning its handle.

WOOT! Really happy with how this one came out - the Polyend Play is a fantastic sequencer and Groovebox that helped me sequence and arrange everything! Update on the board from Laurent: "Thank you, yes, it's horror in the foreground. It's not a prototype, but rather a sandbox to test/validate my ideas and schematics. How it works, it's half a voice card. I should go to V2, a real voice card prototype, pretty quickly now. The control panel is virtual, developed under JUCE, but very similar to what the physical panel will be. This allowed me to validate the ergonomic ideas."

The Portland percussion synthesizer has been designed as a drum complement to the Brunswick synthesizer. Like the Brunswick, Portland has been designed with affordability and flexibility in mind, allowing for the ultimate performance from relatively basic electronics. Portland is also presented as a "sandbox" for percussion and drum synthesis, giving several different analogue sound generation and shaping elements in a patchable unit. The elements are normalled together on the patchbay, allowing for minimal patching to arrive at a kit of drum sounds, but this normalling can be overridden for more complex drum sound synthesis.
