Joranalogue Audio Design / DRONE AND GRIT / eurorack patch

video upload by BRiES

"I was asked once what I use for my drones. The answer is: I don't know. I've been thinking about it ever since, but I don't have a straighforward answer. What I do know is that for this soundscape/drone I used almost all the ‪@joranalogue‬ modules, with exception for the module that I'm sequencing COLLIDE 4 with (Discrete Map by NSI).

There's a lot of interesting tricks in this patch:
I used crossmodulation on the phase parameter between the two GENERATE 3s. The intensity is set by modulating the vcas for the harmonic inputs.
CYCLE 2 is doing some gated cycling, activated by an output of ORBIT 3 with an offset from BIAS 2.
ENHANCE 2 is creating a balanced stereo image from two inputs: the dry signal patched to the MID input and the delayed signal (DELAY 1) patched to the SIDE input.
COLLIDE 4 output stage is used to slightly slew the melody for the main drone while the input stage is used as a pinged filter with some amplitude modulation.
CYCLE 5 is used as a dirty subbass... It's both getting synced by one of the G3s as receiving some fm from the other G3. FILTER 8s resonance is begin modulation as well as its frequency.
ORBIT 3 is used for all the modulation.
One of ORBIT 3s outputs is routed through FOLD 6 to create a more intense modulation for the time parameter on DELAY 1."

Minimal Audio Current 50 Atmospheric Arp Presets. Sound Demo

video upload by Anton Anru

✨ "Dreaming Motion" is a bank of 50 Arp Presets for Minimal Audio Current 2, combining warm analog-inspired sounds with soft and airy atmospheres.
The collection moves between retro synth character, subtle analog imperfections, dreamy textures, and spacious evolving arpeggios, giving the bank both nostalgic and modern sides.

📦 The download link: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/curr...
👤 The author of the soundset is Ilian.

🎛️ Each preset features 4 Macros for shaping the sound, while the Modwheel adds additional movement and expression.
The macros are a significant part of the soundset. They can change tone, stereo width, modulation depth and rate, noise level, distortion, detuning, space/echo/reverb, effects mix, envelope parameters, and others.
You may control them via MIDI controller, use them for automation, or map the macros to your DAW modulators like LFO, Shaper, and others.

📻 The patches are perfect for Electronica, Synthwave, Ambient, IDM, Downtempo, Melodic Techno, Chillout, and experimental electronic music.

🎹 All Arps are designed in either C Major or C Minor, following Current 2’s tonal Arp system. This makes the presets easy to use while keeping their harmonic character consistent. You can change the Scale in the lower right corner of the synthesizer to the one used in your track.

"Introducing a new modular synthesis company. Shipping early July.

Hermeticmodular.com

Open source!

Thank you to Victory Nguyen for performing, Justin Benjamin for the good camera work (all bad camera work should be attributed to me), and Greg Dixon for some of the excellent sound design demos."

How do you test 36,700 LEDs?

video upload by Hermetic Modular

"Run a burn in test! Enjoy 10 minutes of the uninterrupted test - an important step in the QA process. This runs for a minimum of five hours per board.

Proper eurorack LED ring pot feedback.

And all 3060 of these LEDs pictured passed :)

Music credit to @adamwonak on IG - "abstract" from 202606 on Bandcamp now."

ECHOA STEREO DUAL DELAY AND REVERB PROCESSOR

Four delay lines total — two per stereo channel. Morph delay into reverb from first principles, from clean digital delay to smeared, textured reflections. Route the four lines in series, parallel, isolation, or spectrally. Presets, parameter lock on every pot, character engines, and more.

TIME
Delay time from 1 ms to 16 seconds, up to four taps per delay line, configurable for your sound design. Feedback up to and past unity, and a dry/wet mix per channel. Freeze delay buffers, set tempo with tap on the line buttons, or patch a clock and lock each line to a musical division. Linear or logarithmic time taper options: a full featured, clean delay line.

SPACE
Bend echoes into reverb. Diffusion sweeps a four-stage Schroeder all-pass network from discrete repeats to a wash. Bloom grows short, fixed loops into long modulated plate and hall tails. Damping is bipolar from noon — counter-clockwise darkens the tail, clockwise thins and brightens it.

ENGINE
Degrade each line's voice across with four engines — digital, BBD, tape, vinyl. Saturation, bandwidth limiting, compander, wow and flutter, hiss, crackle, digital glitches. Depth scales from bit-pristine bypass, to a gentle touch of character, to destruction.

CONFIGURABLE FOR PERFORMANCE ROUTING
Parallel, series, mono, or spectral delay-line topologies.

CV MAPPING
Per-CV destination, with attenuverters on every input.

Drift DJ Industries Unveils Zero Pocket-Sized Mixing, Playback and Recording Device

video uploads by Drift DJ Industries

Press release follows:

Drift DJ Industries Unveils Zero, a pocket-sized mixing, playback and recording device for djs and electronic musicians

CHICAGO, April 13, 2026. Drift DJ Industries announces Zero, a palm-sized, battery-powered, all-in-one audio mixing, performance and recording system. With its portability and instant-on playability, Zero’s standalone 2-deck DJ system empowers DJs to break outside of the booth and bring their sound to any space. Through it’s DAWless and hybrid DJ-oriented external device sync, audio signal mixing, deep routing configuration and built-in recorder, Zero collapses key functions into a single machine, reducing the amount of hardware required to craft any sound.

Zero: Portable DJ, DAWless, Mixing and Recording

Big-Rig DJ-Features in the Palm of Your Hand

Don’t be fooled by Zero’s small size. Its robust feature set includes DJ-quality time-stretching, dedicated headphone cues, filters and FX for each playback deck. With physical controls organized in a familiar-two channel DJ mixer layout, our device is perfect for DJs who want to forgo larger laptop and controller-based setups while retaining the tactile feedback not found on mobile apps. Leave the cables and power supplies at home. Never get a meeting invite in the middle of a mix.

Compact Machine with DAW-Like Powers
Zero’s wildly-flexible signal routing UI lets users control every link in the signal path. Glue together any collection of music-making gear by routing signals from aux busses and the decks between the analog and USB I/O ports.

For example: Route audio from a Dirtywave M8 and a Roland S-1 into Zero’s analog input ports, and individually trim and EQ each device. Bus those signals together and send/return to a Hologram Chroma Console. Route that signal into the crossfader to mix the effected M8 and S-1 sound with the DJ decks. Add an OXI E-16 and map individual knobs to the M8 and S-1 bus’s post-fader, EQ controls and bi-modal filter cutoff (input control mapping is slated for post-launch release). Record several minutes of knob-tweaking as a .wav file to Zero's internal storage. Re-import that .wav file, add cuepoints and a beatgrid, and loop and layer it in with other inputs and DJ playback.

Built to Evolve
Zero is a new hardware platform and a custom Linux distribution running front-end software from our own publicly-available open source SDK. It ships with the DJ playback, library, external sync, signal routing and recording features, and it includes on-device software management for easy install of future updates. Planned updates include control input mapping, video output for streamers, third-party library support (including rekordbox and Engine DJ) and accessibility features. It fits in a fanny pack, but Zero will develop new capabilities by the truckload.

See our device specs and release roadmap for more info.

Meet Zero in Person
Stop by our exhibitor tables at the following events:
SynthFest France, Nantes, April 17th-19th
Superbooth, Berlin, May 7th-9th

Pricing and Availability
Zero is in presale and priced at $899, with an expected release date of Summer 2026.

"Nymira is a standalone harmony instrument designed around the circle of fifths. Its sonic engine draws from the overtone series, offering detailed timbral control across seven individual partials. Three distinct models explore different synthesis methods; one rooted in additive FM synthesis, another in classic subtractive design, and one based on granular synthesis. Together, they provide a new, expressive way to shape rich and complex harmonic textures.

Nymira is the only instrument in the world that maps the Circle of Fifths to a physical interface. Nymira is designed with Western harmonic theory at the core, allowing you to discover beautiful chord progressions that are much harder to play on other instruments.

Like all Terraphones, Nymira is assembled by hand, and is housed in solid walnut. Underneath Nymira’s keys are Cherry MX Silent Red keyswitches that offer a clean, tactile experience. With the ability to run on four rechargeable AA batteries, Nymira lets you play anywhere. Inside Nymira are two surface transducers that turn the walnut enclosure into a speaker of its own. Playing Nymira in this mode allows you to hear its warm sonic engine played through the walls of its walnut housing. Nymira also excels in the studio. It is equipped with USB MIDI out, and a stereo 1/4" audio output. If you don’t want to use batteries, Nymira can be powered via USB-C with any device that supplies 4-17 volts.

~~~
Nymira is made by Thomas Adam Billings, the sole creator of Terraphones. Every part of Nymira is ethically sourced, assembled by hand, with solid walnut sourced and milled in the United States of America. By purchasing Nymira, you are directly funding the ongoing research and development of a new wave of natural, electroacoustic musical instruments.
A.I. Experiments: The Infinite Drum Machine
video upload by Google for Developers
"Check out https://g.co/aiexperiments to learn more.
Sounds are complex and vary widely. This experiment uses machine learning to organize thousands of everyday sounds. The computer wasn’t given any descriptions or tags – only the audio. Using a technique called t-SNE, the computer placed similar sounds closer together. You can use the map to explore neighborhoods of similar sounds and even make beats using the drum sequencer. http://g.co/aiexperiments
Built by Kyle McDonald, Manny Tan, Yotam Mann, and friends at Google Creative Lab. Thanks to the London Philharmonia for contributing some sounds to this project. t-SNE animation featured in video by Gene Kogan.
Bad Gear - WHAT??? I actually have to PLAY IT???
Working with Ableton Live Racks and Macros: Roto-Control 2.0 Firmware Melbourne Instruments
video upload by Melbourne Instruments
"When working with Ableton Live racks and macros with Roto-Control 2.0 firmware, all instruments and effects racks will default to automatic macro mapping, whereby macro controls and names will be automatically detected by Roto-Control and mapped to Roto's knobs — indicated with light blue colored labels. This is applicable for all racks; instrument, drum, audio effects and MIDI effect racks, This also applies to individual racks that you may have made.
To disable automatic macro mapping and further customize displays, labels and haptics, press LEARN and begin to map knobs accordingly, as you would when learning other plugins and devices parameters. Pressing LEARN will disable the automatic mapping for that specific rack/macro. Manually mapped controls default to dark blue labels. Once you start to manually map knobs; colors, names and haptics can be further customized in the Roto-Setup App.
To return to automatic macro mapping for that specific rack/macro, CLEAR all manually mapped controls. Press LEARN, keep it pressed and touch the knob on Roto-Control you want to clear. There will be a prompt to CLEAR, touch the knob again to CLEAR the mapping.
IMPORTANT: Each rack must have a UNIQUE NAME. Racks with the default names Instrument Rack, Audio Effect Rack, MIDI Effect Rack and Drum Rack cannot be customized with the LEARN button – they must be renamed first. This is to ensure plugins saved to Roto-Control memory are unique and separate.
Behringer UB-Xa: 64 Vintage Atmospheric Presets. Sound Demo
video upload by Anton Anru
🌅 Retro Tides is a collection of 64 atmospheric presets for the Behringer UB-Xa analog synthesizer. It includes: 13 Pads, 13 Synths, 17 Keys, 8 Strings, and 13 Textures.
Since the UB-Xa is a recreation of a vintage classic, this collection embraces its retro character—highlighting detuning, subtle noise, and analog warmth to evoke the sonic aesthetics of the 70s and 80s.
📦 Get these patches: https://antonanru.sellfy.store/p/ub-x...
The presets are infused with nostalgic charm and are perfect for adding that vintage soul to your tracks.
📼 One of the unique features of the UB-Xa is its Atrophy profiles—emulations of various stages of vintage wear and drift. All presets and audio demos were created using the default Profile 1, but you're encouraged to explore them with other profiles to discover variations in brightness, tuning, and stereo width. This adds another layer of expression and depth to the sounds.
💎 Retro Tides offers a wide sonic palette, from dreamy pads and mellow keys to lush strings and expressive textures. Whether you're producing synthwave, ambient, cinematic, downtempo, or retro-inspired electronic music, these presets will help you capture a timeless analog feel.
🎛 Each preset is performance-ready, with velocity sensitivity and ModWheel assignments mapped for expressive control. The ModWheel introduces additional modulations — such as brightness or movement — offering creative flexibility for both studio production and live performance.
