this auction
"Rare 1969 Vintage Italian Electric Keyboard: Electro Trainer, Model 5000, Serial 0714, Run/Lot 1. This appears to be a super rare piece, we checked all over and could not find another example of this vintage keyboard anywhere. Truely a collectors prize, this awesome vintage keyboard shows some use as pictured. The power cord is included and can be seen coiled up and stored inside the top cover area in it's proper storage spot. We did test this unit and it worked perfectly during our testing producing clean audio output through it's onboard speaker. We have included plenty of photos so colelctors can view the item thoroughly. You can see the the internal workings in the pics as well. All keys worked fine and none appear to be broken when checked during our testing. The unit has some scuffs to the outer surfaces from normal use as pictured. Overall a fantastic rare Italian vintage 60's electronic keyboard. If you are a collector of fine vintage instruments or are looking for a uniquie vintage 60's sound then grab this Italian made keyboard while you have a chance since you will likely never find another one available. Item out of a recently closed affluent estate. (This is a heavy unit and shipping is set as such)"

Mattson Mini Modular MMM Debut @ PNW Synth DIY 2007
YouTube via redmartian.
"This is a little montage of footage shot at the PNW Synth DIY in Renton, WA. The music was composed entirely on the MMM by William Horne of inside synthesis aka williamroh."
Update via William in the comments: "I posted a much high quality version at http://insidesynthesis.com, since the YouTube compression hardly does it justice.
Only delay on the lead bits, and a highpass on the hihat were used. No chorusing, phasing, reverb, or compression/EQ, so it's overall a pretty raw sound.
I double-tracked the lead and bass parts for stereo width.
I'll make a more modern, less 80's song later. Assuming I have time - I'm only borrowing the prototype for a few days."
Thre is also a great shot of George and William in the post. Be sure to check it out.

The PPG Wave 2
via Boele Gerkes (Something Completely Different):
"After Wolfgang Palm had released the WaveComputer 360s series PPG came out with the PPG 2.0. An 8 voice, 1 oscillator digital wavetable synthesizer with analog filters (CEM 3320) and analog VCAs (CEM 3330 dual VCA). It's the forerunner of the better known PPG 2.2 and 2.3, but to my opinion these are quite different sounding PPGs, probably mostly because of the different filters used (SSM 2044) and different VCAs (CEM3360).
I know and own(ed) all the Waldorf wavetable synths too and have done lots of music with those (WAVE, Microwave 1, Microwave XT, the Q) but those are incomparable with the PPG series.
The PPG 2.0 sounds very intimate and to me it's the perfect mixture of digital and analog components in a synthesizer. I fell in deep love with it. And more famous band and people did too: Depeche Mode, Tangerine Dream, Robert Schröder, Gary Numan and others.
Yes, it's digital, yes it aliasing as hell, but ohhhhh..... everything gets polished again by those lovely filters...
All examples are PPG 2.0 only (plus reverb and delay). It's quite clear where some leads from Tangerine Dreams albums of the eighties come from...
Also the demo-tune is PPG 2.0 only. Not really a good song, but it shows a few sounds the synth is capable of. Since there is no midi on the PPG (yet...), everything is played by hand, so excuses for some timing glitches.
The PPG 2.0 on which all this is done, is on loan from a friend of mine. But I just bought one myself. Should arrive next week."

Small French-Swiss Synth Gathering on Sept 22 2007
"On september the 22nd was held a small meeting of some Swiss and French analogue synth geeks in Saint-Fortuna (a small village in the wonderfull and wild region of Ardèches in France). You can find some nice pictures of this meeting on this French speaking forum.
Among these photos you'll find some good shots of the my new MOS-LAB custom system. Yes, I am the lucky owner of this very first model ;-) You'll find also a photo of a CS15 that was moded to increase the resonance range of the Yamaha filter. The description of this mod can be found on my yusynth forum (french speaking).
There were also some inspiring jams that were video taped and that might be downloadable someday..."

FreqBox vs Virus Pt-02 (Toys 'n Noise)
YouTube via Analogger. Follow up to this post.
"This time I put the FreqBox thru the Lowpass Filter. Again into the Access Virus. A Roland MPU-101 gated the Virus and also step modulated the oscillator frequency on the FreqBox. I put the osc in both "synced" and "non-synced" modes. I basically just hit the low E string on my guitar with a couple other notes thrown in when I wasn't twisting knobs. The rhythm pattern comes from my sequencer which is triggering the Virus. The Virus is set to "external input" so there is no internal sound...just that which is being fed into it from the FreqBox."

Atomo Labs Mochika Sequencer
"hand built Analog sequencer synthesizer created by Alfredo Aliaga for Atomo Labs.
This synth features one square and saw waveform VCO (voltage controled oscillator) with a huge pitch range, from subsonic to ultrasonic sound
One square and triangle waveform LFO (low frequency oscillator), that modulates the VCO for the vibrato effect creating old school arcade Atari-like sounds.
White noise generator that triggers the VCO and can create percussion like sounds.
8 step Sequencer with note on/off switch and pitch knob for each step
It features a 1/4 inch audio output, 1/4 inch CV Output (to control other analog gear), 1/4 inch Clock input (gate in, to sync whit an external analog clock, like another analog sequencer), 1/4 inch Gate/clock output.(to sync whit other analog gear using the Mochika's internal clock)
Also the instrument is ligthed with 2 red ultra bright leds that indicates the LFO and Sequencer Rate, and 8 red ultra bright leds to indicate the step that is being played. Very useful when you play it on a dark stage.
The Analog Sequencer is packed in a cool cristal acrilic case that shows all the hand made analog circuitry.
The instrument is powered directly from 110V or 220V AC, rubber feet, and comes with operation manual.
Dimensions: 9 inch(W), 7 inch(D), 3 1/4 inch(H. incuded rubber feet and knobs)"
