"This synth has two ring modulated square wave oscillators. Below each oscillator knob is an amplitude modulation control knob. Combining both of these modulation types creates some very rich and noisy waveforms full of side bands. The amplitude modulation can be turned on and off by the switch below each control knob. If carfully tuned, this synth will create some very intresting beating patterns. There is also a level control at the top right corner for accurate dynamic control.
Runs on an easy to replace 9V battery (INCLUDED)

Poor lighting & 100% dubious musical content aside, I think this is the way to go - to be honest I didn't expect much from the clock out of the M.F.B CV/MIDI module - I have never really got decent results from MIDI Clock, which is why I own Sync Shift MkII #0024, which can fix the MIDI lag - but sadly not the MIDI slop!
Synth sound is the Blacet Suitcase being controlled by the SEQ-02 with woompwoommp bass & some hand drums from the MPC."
via JH on the AH list: "Here's a little preview of what I'm working on. Looks like I can indeed put 3 VCOs plus an Oscillator Driver on a single board! This may get very close to the whole oscillator section of my JH-5, just on a single 160mm * 100mm PCB. (Board will have MOTM and Synthesizers.com connectors, and will run on +/-15V.)
Some details from the auction: "THE LAMBDOMA HARMONIC KEYBOARD
Create concordant musical intervals with the harmonic keyboard add the magic of micro-tonal harmony to your life and projects tune into elegant solutions with the harmonic keyboard.
'There is geometry in the humming of the strings. There is music in the spacing of the spheres'. (Pythagoras 500BC)
The Lambdoma Matrix is attributed to the philosopher Pythagoras (500 bc) who spent over twenty years as an Egyptian initiate. The concept of the Lambdoma Matrix in the present age is relatively unknown, and is not cited in most dictionaries. On the surface, it appears to be nothing more than a mathematical multiplication and division table. On a closer look however, it bears a one-to-one relationship to musical intervals in a very specific harmonic series. Because of its numerical framework of ratios, it can be translated into frequencies of audible sound. The Lambdoma bears relationships to aromatics, chemistry, crystallography, cybernetics, art, music, geometry, all of which may be explored by those interested in the above disciplines. The Lambdoma bears mathematical relationships to Issac Newton, the Diophantine equations and the Farey series, as well as in the present century to Georg Cantor.
The Pythagorean Lambdoma Harmonic Keyboard has the unique capability of sounding any musical interval in a matrix of harmonic frequencies in the audible range. Its diamond-shaped matrix holds 64 keys in one quadrant. A total of 256 keys in any microtonal keynote may be played. Each keynote produces harmonic stereo intervals relating to the player's chosen keynote. Overlays of the three other quadrants in colors and frequencies of the musical notes (in a C scale) are included. Since another set of overlays of the intervals are based upon geometrical ratios, the shapes of the musical intervals may be seen as the keys are pushed. A user's manual is included on CD.
THE PLHK is divided in 4 quadrants: Oracle, Spiritual, Physical, and Emotional.
THIS Auction Includes a 17" by 9" by 1.5" Pythagorean Lambdoma Harmonic Keyboard, 8 Lambdoma Matrix overlays, power adapter, USB to Midi cable, Tune Smithy Software for PC, and user's manual. BUY IT NOW AND GET ALL 3 LAMBDOMA MATRIX BOOKS ABSOLUTELY FREE!

Description of the Lambdoma Keyboard The Lambdoma keyboard has a right and a left duality based upon ratios that are <1>1. Ratios that are less than one are on the left side descend. Ratios that are more than 1 are on the right side of the diamond and ascend. When these ratios are multiplied by a frequency representing the musical notations C through C, or Do through Do, eight cycling notes of each scale are heard whether it be C, D, W, F, G, A, B –B or C. Any numerical phenomena may be used as a resonant musical note and placed into an eight-note scale. Therefore all numerical phenomena may be characterized as a musical notation and may be formed into an interdisciplinary data bank limited to eight modalities.
Unique Applications of the Lambdoma Keyboard The Lambdoma tactile matrix keyboard has the unique ability to generate any keynote through its programming abilities using a Lambdoma_FTS software program with a Vista, XP – ‘Windows’computers. It is this generating feature of the Lambdoma Keyboard that allows any numerical frequency to be used as a fundamental audible frequency and enables an interdisciplinary application to the arts, sciences, education and health modalities.
TUNE SMITHY SOFTWARE In the 1990’s the software was sent to Robert Walker of Fractal Tune Smithy in England who designed an entire software program for the “therapeutic” uses of the Lambdoma Keyboard, including a frame of Lissajous figures. These Lissajous figures have a one-to-one relationship to all the keys that are played at the same time on the Lambdoma Keyboard. A menu frame and a colored diamond keyboard frame are also shown on the monitor. The keyboard frame shows each of the keys pressed in the different colors depending on the keynote chosen.
BARBARA HERO Barbara Hero is Founder of the International Lambdoma Research Institute and inventor of the Pythagorean Lambdoma Keyboard. With a Master's degree in mathematics and a background as a music composer and theorist, she combined ancient theories with color, sound and modern technology to create an instrument that brings healing and insight. The relationship between light, color, sound and their mathematical frequencies led Barbara to a deep understanding of the relationship we all have to space, sound and the lives we lead. The Lambdoma allows individuals to tune into their innate vibrations or key notes, allowing them to heal on a spiritual level. Entraining with our intrinsic frequencies connects us to the universal consciousness and gives insight to the goals that we chose for this lifetime." The Pythagorean Lambdoma Harmonic Keyboard

"When is the last time you ever saw a Roland SH-3 for sale? I can't say that I've ever seen one on ebay. Sources vary on how many were produced, anywhere from only 40 to a few hundred, either way these are a true rarity. So what is so pecial about the SH3 qand why were so few produced? Roland infringed on the Moog designs for the filter and VCA, once they were caught they changed the filter and VCA designs to their own and released SH-3A. You can read more about that here"

"Key Performer is a new software virtual instrument capable of producing many keyboard sounds using several synthesis types, all in a single easy to use program. And the CPU hit is so "light" that even a 900 MHz EEE PC can run it offering about 100 voices of polyphony.
In this video all I'm using is an Asus EEE 904 with WinXP, a Behringer UCA202 USB soundcard with Asio4All 2.9 drivers, an M-Audio Keystation 88es and Key Performer as a stand-alone application.
It runs really smooth and sounds wonderfully on the little EEE.
Unfortunately the mpeg compression destroyed the sound... :-(

Dur to the simplicity of this project, i decided to document all steps, starting with making the PCB for it, ending with the tests. So not all videos appear at once, but i think this should happen within 3 weeks or so. Make sure to come back and see if new parts appeared with the time.
some typical self-made and factory sounds from the Ensoniq SQ-80 Cross Wave Synthesizer from 1987;
SQ-80 = 75 digital 8-bit waveforms + analog curtis filter, Osc-Sync, Ringmodulation (AM)...
The SQ-80 is very underrated, easy to program and really nice for PPG Wave and Prophet VS like sounds but nevertheless particularly in sound. The perfect machine for ambient music or horror movie soundtracks.

"minimoog model D" with a 'phat sound' thats hard to duplicate let alone beat!! It is in great shape, just a little wear and tear as it sat in storage for 30 years! It might need a tune-up, i am not sure,as i have never played a synthesizer. But i am sure that when you see it, you'll agree that its a real beauty!! Serial # is 6746 It was built around '74-'75 Thats about halfway through the entire production of these classics. Own apiece of history and while your add it, play a piece of history too!! Reaktor itself, comes with a large variety of tools to make modular audio stuff... powerful software indeed! You can build virtually ANYTHING you would imagine regarding audio effects or instruments! Wish I would have plenty of patience and time to dive more deeper into it. Worth your every effort!"
YouTube via bigcitymusic "We're using the super unique Signal Arts Tetra Maps Sequencer to run the Diabolical Devices modified Korg EX-800 into the SubDecay Echobox delay pedal.
The Tetra Maps is unlike any other sequencer. You can sequence up to thirty-two MIDI channels as well as four CV and gate outputs for modular and analog synths. The Tetra Maps is not your conventional sequencer, although you could do some pretty normal sequencing if you wanted. The Tetra allows you to fire off multiple sequences at the same time, on the same channel or on different ones. Crazy chasing sequences, continuous controller mayhem, and MIDI to CV are all included in this genius piece.
The Diabolical Devices EX-800 sounds good! We forgot to mention in the last video that you can also process external sounds via the 1/4" jack on the front. Nice.
The Echobox delay pedal from SubDecay is an incredible sounding pedal. Especially for the price! It's a pretty standard delay with the very welcome feature of LFO modulation to the echoes. From subtle pitch modulations to all out swishing echo madness, SubDecay has outdone themselves. And yes. It will self oscillate, sending your sounds into the stratosphere and beyond."

via this auction "It has 3 voltage controlled oscillators. Each one with 6 waveforms to select. An octave switch is available for each oscillator to go from Lo,32',16',8',4' and up to 2'. Also VCO's 2 and 3 can be detuned against VCO 1's frequency. Each oscillator has its own volume control and On/Off switch. There is an external input to put your own audio signal through the Moog filter. A Pink/White noise source is also supplied with its own On/Off switch and volume control. Then you can put your signal through the classic Moog 24db 4 pole filter which has its own envelope generator. Another envelope generator is supplied for the amplifier. Oscillator 3 is the low frequency oscillator source which can be switched out of keyboard control. And switched into either/or both VCO 1 and 2 or the Filter. The amount being controlled by the modulation wheel.A noise source can also be mixed into the LFO/VCO 3 modulating signal. A pitch bend wheel with a center position is to the left of the modulation wheel. The synth also has a switchable and fully adjustable glide control. A global tune knob is fitted. An A440 signal can be switched in to tune up the synth. A headphone output with its own volume control is supplied. And the main output is able to be toggled On/Off and level adjusted. There are 3 ext control jack inputs for the Filter,Oscillators and Amplifier. There are high and low audio outputs and the audio in socket as well. All of this is controlled by a 44 note 3 1/2 octave F to C keyboard."
