Sagittronics -- Midi light controller -- with microkorg & Ableton

"A Demo of the Sagittronics Midi Light 001 light controller.

www.sagittronics.com
sagittronics[at]gmail
This device uses Midi note on/off data to control 8 X 120VAC outlets. what does that mean....?

It means, it's the most straight forward and easy to control light show ever made! Use any midi sequencing device, whether it be hardware like a Yamaha QY100, MPC, or Keyboard--or software such as Ableton, Logic, or anything that can sequence midi. No extra editing software required. No it doesn't use DMX, No it does not have a chase function. No dimmers, your lights are either on or off--We're not talking "laser floyd"--but you can do some cool easy stuff! Each outlet is linked to a midi note.

Outlet 1 = C3 (middle C)
Outlet 2 = C#3
Outlet 3 = D3
Outlet 4 = D#3
Outlet 5 = E3
Outlet 6 = F3
Outlet 7 = F#3
Outlet 8 = G3

NOTE ON= LIGHT ON
NOTE OFF= LIGHT OFF

that's it.

Everyone knows lights are fun at a party, but who wants to spend all that time screwing with cords and controllers and crap. this is easy!

And, it looks cool and homemade, tell them you made it, I don't care.

each one is housed in a heavy duty reclaimed walnut and plexi-glass container. To buy something of this nature--including all the hardware--might cost you upwards of $400+ dollars and it will come with all kinds of options that only jerks need. buy this instead!

Use it at Christmas to make your tree do that crap you've seen on the internet."

"Vintage Emu Emax SE 12 bit EMU Sampler Keyboard. It's built on the same engine as the legendary SP-1200 Sampler. The Sampler is powerful, but lo-fi. It samples at 12-bit resolution with variable sample-rates up to 42kHz. The built-in memory is 512K which only gives you a few good seconds really. Sampling and editing is easy, complete and intuitive with auto sample placement, auto-looping, truncating, reversing, velocity cross-fade, etc. The Emax also features individual channel outputs and stereo outputs and extensive MIDI implementation. The Emax features many common analog synth-type controls for easily shaping your samples. Tune, filter and shape the envelope or use LFO's and chorus to liven up your samples. There's also an on-board sequencer section. A real-time only 16-track, non-quantizable sequencer for basic scratch-pad use or simple arpeggios or patterns. The SE and SE Plus models, the most advanced of the 12-bit Emax's, add a synthesizer section, newer advanced digital signal processors for sample editing and a SCSI port (standard on the SE Plus). The Emax instruments were the most advanced of the classic keyboard samplers of the late 1980's..."

MOOG SOUND LAB (Moogfest Edition): Matthew Dear - Earthforms

Published on Oct 12, 2012 by MoogMusicInc

"Michigan based, Ghostly International co-founder and Moogfest alumni Matthew Dear visited the Moog Sound Lab where he completely deconstructed and then recreated the song "Earthforms" from his 2012 LP "Beams"

Matthew Dear sings through an MF-104Z Analog Delay for a slapback effect.

Greg Paulus plays Trumpet through an MF-104Z Analog Delay using long delay time to harken long repeating echoes of each trumpet line

Samer Ghadry is playing the Moog Guitar through an MF-104Z Analog Delay, utilizing the Controlled Sustain mode, which allows him to sustain single strings while the strings he's not playing are totally muted

Ian Chang drives the song using trap-kat drum pads triggering 3 Minimoog Voyager Rack Mount Editions. Ian uses the Envelope Gate switch to sustain continuous sound during parts of the song.

Danny Scales, rounds out Earthforms with his bass guitar.

Organ Alpha Art Installation

Published on Sep 26, 2012 by Avi Ashkenazi

"Organ Alpha suggest new modes of determining the human state and exploring the body. Investigating the body’s phenomena through rhythm and sound and by linking emotional feeling to physical article, the collaboration provides modes of demonstrating and understanding body function - somatic and emotional – by way of hearing and touching.

In their exploration of the body, Mavion have created a physical depiction of places we have never before been able to reach and experiences we could never before behold. The installation is a wondrous exemplar for future investigations of untouchable phenomena. Speculative, probing and potentially scary, Mavion invoke an atavistic moral obligation to explore the unseen..."

Steady State Fate Quantum Rainbow scope/sounds

Steady State Fate Quantum Rainbow scope/sounds from Equinoxoz music solutions on Vimeo.

"The first module from Steady State Fate is the Quantum Rainbow, a very flexible analog noise source with all the common noise forms and some not so common ones.

This video was just a quick run through of the different sounds of the outputs and also how they look on an oscilloscope so you can get a rough gauge of the difference.

Analog noise is a wonderful tool for use in the modular synthesizer, it can add some meat to basslines, random CV and more plus the obvious uses for it as an element in creating percussive sounds like high hats, snares etc.

All outputs are available simultaneously on this module and there are duplicates of each output as well. Wonderful, simple but very useful first offering from a great small company. Thanks to Andrew Morelli for letting us stock these!"

Rebel Technology Logoi first jam

Rebel Technology Logoi first jam from Equinoxoz music solutions on Vimeo.

"Just got the Logoi's in at the shop and thought I would do a quick video with my favourite drum modules (TipTop Audio BD808, SD808, HATS808, CLAPS909) to see how I can move the clock pulses around with this module.

It works great and it yet another awesome rhythm tool for the modular synthesizer which would be a perfect adjunct to the Stoicheia module for creating some creative beat patterns and sequences.

Just me exploring, nothing too serious I wasn't sure what the controls did when I first started messing with it (Too excited to read the manual ;) ) but it appears the top two knobs control the divisions and functions and the bottom two are attenuators for the CV inputs."
