"The Winduino II is a wireless, digital version of an Aeolian harp that can be listened to on its own or used as accompaniment for other instruments. Based around the Adruino BT Bluetooth board, the Winduino II software uses the recently released Max for Live and now the Winduino II can generate any sound a user can come up with by processing the midi generated by Max/MSP directly in Live.

Moonmodular M563 modular Trigger Sequencer V1
via this auction via the forum
"The Moon Modular 563 is a Moog modular format trigger sequencer. Four rows of toggles control eight steps of four trigger voices.
Per Yusynth:
This Moon Modular 563 module is apparently the commercial version of a module that was custom-made for Gert Jalass. For Xmas 2006, Gert Jalass sent me a Xmas card showing his sequencer unit including two prototypes of the module that were labelled 963. This is a four voices 8 steps trigger sequencers.
Each switch has three states: Trigger on, OFF, reset.
The pulse width of the triggers can be adjusted independantly for each row.
The module has a clock of its own, but each row can be independantly driven by an external clock."

KORG Radias Concept Art
via A on the KORG Forums
"I just came up with some ideas for a new generation Radias. The photoshop job is crappy & blurry but I think you get my point though. The main idea is to get a somewhat streamlined and modernized interface with a huge touch-sensitive colour display and a top row of encoders that change their function according to the menus. Also, please note the M3 styled buttons (for quick preset changes etc.), the numeric keys, and the three lighted mod-wheels with some additional function switches on the keyboard unit. In general, this would be an expanded Radias with (optional) DAW integration / multichannel audio streaming via USB (3.0?) or Firewire. I am in no way related to Korg and just made this for fun. Maybe it gets a little discussion going coz I think It's time for a new Radias.
Best regards,
A"

Commodore 64 Ocean Loader 4 & 5 Music
YouTube via TheCommodore64Player
"Here you got the music from the Ocean Loader 4 & 5! I posted earlier a clip that included Ocean Loader 1, 2 & 3 (unfortunately there is a 10 minute limit so I could not put them in same clip). The purpose of this video is just to make you see the small differences between the different loaders used by Ocean. The V5 is a slightly remixed version of the fourth version. Both loaders were composed by Jonathan Dunn. There were a handful of games that got their own loaders, but there were 5 different loaders that were used in Ocean Softwares games. The loaders with these tunes were used in 100+ games and should be remembered by everybody that once had a C64 ;) Ocean Loader V5 begins at 3.11. Sorry for messed up and out of sync loading video, but the title emphasis music and the music is recorded ok :)"

1.Secret of Monkey Island
2.Monkey Island 2
3.Sensible World of Soccer
4.Lemmings
5.The Settlers
6.Cannon Fodder
7.Pinball Fantasies
8.Ambermoon
9.Simon the Sorcerer
10.Speedball 2
I have not personally played all these games, I just found prerecorded amiga games from predominantly www.recordedamigagames.org and made a "1 minute trailer" of each game. My personal top 10 list would have included It Came From The Desert, Mortal Kombat 2, Roadkill, Super Street Fighter 2, Golden Axe, Lotus Turbo Challenge, Super Cars... Maybe I'll make another list with my personal childhood favorites if I got time or if I won't go to crazy to figure out which game was my favorite."

Moog Realistic MG-1 Used as audio filter
YouTube via Thalassa77
"I've been working on this synth to the last weeks. It's a Moog Realisitc MG-1 and now after restoration it's like new or even better because I've made few modifications that increase the power and uses of this synth.
I've take it off the old RCA connectors and I've added and Audio Input to the filter, a Gate Input ( the synth has S-trig ) , and CV Input to control de synth. Also I've made a modification to have better signal/noise ratio. With this modifications this synth can be used as filter in your modular system, can be modulated by other synths , can be easyly controlled by MIDI using a normal MIDI/CV conversor ( you don't need special one with S-trig signal ).
A picture set of this synth can be seen here:

"Erich tests out his TX606 after I fixed it.
The TX606 (modified Roland TR-606) is triggering Andromeda Mk-3 synth bass module. Andromeda Mk's can be configured to play from their own internal sequencer or respond to an external trigger, such as the TR-606's trigger outputs.
Andromeda Mk-3 is available thru ericarcher.net
The TX606 was on the workbench because it had developed a nasty habit of spontaneously exploding batteries. Not sure whats going on but it is on strict no-battery regimen now. only AC adapter. I modded the memory backup capacitor (C27) and now it holds patterns for 90 minutes with no batteries."
JEN SM 2007 String Machine Synthesizer
via this auction
"JEN SM 2007 String Machine Synthesizer. Jen Electronics was a company that was aquired by Crumar with Eminent and eventually all of those companies got aquired by ARP.
This is the grand daddy of all string synths of 70's and 80's. Once you play it you will see how lush the sound is of the string ensemble.
This synth has organ section, solo of Violin, Viola, and Cello, and ensemble for all of the sections with Auto Sustain or manual Sustain, Attack and you can also adjust the tone of the sound from slim to fat and warm. This synth is in perfect condition. The Violin slider is missing the cap but that does not affect its functionality."
Novation X-Station 61
via this auction
"Audio and MIDI Solution
X-Station includes a fully featured audio interface with 2 phantom-powered, hi-quality converters, 2 Neutrik combined XLR and jack sockets, digital S/PDIF out, and much more. Dedicated headphone and monitoring connections with separate controls even allow you to work without a mixer. What's more, the onboard DSP effects processor provides instant, zero-latency multi-effects for monitoring or recording applications. Each audio channel has its own effects chain. You can even record audio with effects on one channel -- and use the synthesizer on the second at the same time! On top of that, X-Station has a built in MIDI Interface on board, allowing you to integrate external MIDI Gear as well.
Hardware Synthesizer
A fully featured Novation-class hardware synthesizer also runs on the unique X-Station hardware thanks to its powerful DSP processor! The 3-oscillator virtual analog synthesizer is based on the renowned Novation KS-series and is 8-voice polyphonic. The extensive control interface provides instant access to all key parameters, making it ideal for live performances. And forget cables -- the synthesizer is fully integrated: The stereo audio output is sent straight through the USB cable onto the track in your sequencer via ASIO!
DSP Effects
X-Station provides 2 channels of onboard multi-effects! Up to 6 effects may be used simultaneously on each channel. The palette includes Chorus, Delay, Reverb Distortion, EQ and even a Compressor. The effects can be routed for monitoring only (like giving the singer some Reverb while recording) or for recording as well (e.g. recording a guitar with Chorus). Thanks to the unique design, synthesizer and effects for incoming audio can even be used at the same time!
Direct Remote
Want a first class remote control for sequencer functions? Need a hardware surface for your VST-Instruments Would you like to remote control other hardware from one surface? Here's your solution -- no matter if you want to remote control your Access Virus or Propellerhead Reason. X-Station offers a total of 55 assignable physical controls, including 3 Encoders, 16 pots, 9 sliders and 22 buttons. And that doesn't include the dedicated controls in the Audio section. A template can have up to a massive 150 virtual controls in total using the shift functions!
Tired of Wires
X-Station only needs one for everything -- the USB cable. That's it. Even power is provided via USB* or batteries whenever desired! So if you really want to make your recordings on the beach -- take your laptop, X-Station and enjoy the sun as inspiration. But don't say we didn't warn you about the sun-burn and the sand all over your gear!
* The USB bus must be able to supply the required amount of current in order to power the X-Station. Please verify that your computer provides enough power."

BTW, HUGE thanks to Surachai and Justin for hosting the NAMM BBQ on Saturday night. It absolutely rocked. A friend asked me what my favorite thing was at NAMM. I thought about the booths and the gear, and then answered it was the people. You can see and hear the gear online and except for a few little surprises, everything is pretty much as you would imagine. What you can't get online is the interaction and conversations you get to have with people face to face. My one day at NAMM was a blast and the BBQ was the highlight. I met so many cool people I only knew via email and Twitter online. Everyone was super nice, and.... people at the BBQ enjoyed my wine! :) ... Be sure to read the write-up on TRASH_AUDIO.
