Minimoog Model D Synthesizer SN 10625 with Extras

via the seller: "This is a Minimoog model D synthesizer serial number 10625. I am the original owner and bought it new in 1979. It is still in great shape, both outwardly and functionally. I used it a lot for three years, mostly in a home studio. I babied it and protected it like a mother hen. It was never moved around much and it has been stored in the case I custom made for it, ever since. That has kept it in great condition to this day. The cabinet, face and knobs are all in very nice condition. The keys are all lined up properly. It plays nicely and all functions work as far as I am able to tell. The only things that I can find wrong with it after all these years are, the power pilot light is burned out, the waveform switch for oscillator three could stand a cleaning as it crackles a bit if switched while depressing a key, and two keys act as though they could stand a contact cleaning at times. Other than that, I can find nothing wrong. It includes the custom built, padded case, the 1120 pedal controller and S-trigger plug. The earlier Minimoogs had oscillators that drifted out of tune, while the later ones had stabilized oscillators. This one came with the updated oscillator board and always stayed in tune well. The Minimoog was the synthesizer used by so many professional musicians. The three oscillators and low-pass filter gave it a rich, familiar sound. This unit is all original and was never modified other than a pad on the bottom so it wouldn't scratch my Hammond."

2600 Patches For Yamaha 4 OP FM Synths
Via Audio Bombs.
"We've gathered every free 4-operator FM bank we could find on the web. We combined them all, removed all the duplicates, and then separated them back into banks. The result is 82 banks of 32 patches, or over 2600 patches in total."
"What synths will these work with? We could only test with the Yamaha TX81Z and FM8 and they work with both of these. You should be able to load them in earlier Yamaha 4 OP synths like the DX21 ad DX100, but these banks contain 32 patches and all the earlier generation 4 OP synths seem to only load 24 per bank. They will probably work with other software synths that load 4 OP sysex files."

DK Synergy Digital Keyboards Synthesizer with Kaypro 2X Computer SN 01027

"Rare wood cabinet, with some normal wear marks and scratches, overall good condition. All switches work, all keys work, (on two or three keys, the sound may not release right away, the key itself does not physically stick. ) The instrument has not been played much over the last 7 or 8 years. The included Kaypro II computer works and communicates with the Synergy, allowing access to entire voice library (included), and included SYNHCS software allows programming the synth. There may only be 100 or so of these instruments around, (I have owned 2 of them), and there is nothing else like it in terms of the sound. This auction includes the following: Synergy Synthesizer, 4 Voice cartridges, Complete voice library on 15 discs, Communication software (4 discs), Power cord, Dual foot pedal, 2 owners manuals, Preliminary Host programming manual, Schematics, Kaypro 2 computer, System software, Serial cable to connect to Synergy, Kaypro owner's manual, CP/m programming manual."

In the heart of never -- Kurzweil K1000 SE demo + Eventide Space ambient
Published on Jan 14, 2015 MIDERA
"Just a quick piece I wrote to demonstrate one of the sounds I
particularly enjoyed using the Kurzweil K1000SE. Mixed with the
Eventide Space, it sounds great... but that's true of anything going
through it. Hell, even not going through the Space it sounded great."
Korg Sigma quartertone
Published on Jan 14, 2015 baward
"Quick and dirty demo of the (surely rarely used) quarter tone option capability of the Korg Sigma. Switching the quarter tone tablet to 'on' and paying legato, rather than staccato, brings in the effect, as you can hear. Its not really explained in the owner's manual, so I had to figure it out for myself."
Interesting, quirky feature of the Korg Sigma.
Vicious Pink - 'Cccan't You See' (Fairlight effects) [1984]
Published on Jan 14, 2015 baward
"Tony Mansfield's treasure trove of Fairlight effects, from the second 12". The samples are all used in the song. Despite trying for a hit on 2 occasions, with 3 different 12 inch records worth of mixes, the record wasn't a commercial success (in the UK anyway.)"
Interesting bit of synth history. The following is the only video I could find featuring the original in Eglish. There are extended and French versions up on YouTube as well.
