"A poorly done (since I'm NOT a keyboard player) demonstration of my Elektronika EM-26 Vocoder/Strings from Ukraine (although bought on eBay from the US, the ONLY time I've EVER seen it being sold/auction on eBay in the US and NOT Ukraine, Russian Federation or elsewhere).

First-up: Strings (with me just hitting the keys at random).
Second-up: VOCODER!!! Playing its vocoder sound for you."

It does display moderate wear, and one piece of wood detailing, adhered under the keys, is no longer attached nor included. The underside of one key is chipped. It works perfectly, sounds great..."

"greetings all! I lucked out and seemed to pick this up a little before the preorder tag is off most websites. This video was basically my first 20 minutes or so with the Roland SE-02, from taking it out of the box to trying it out a bit. All I did was set up a Zoom Q8 camera and took the audio from the synth right into the Q8's analog inputs. I ran a few tests-
Fiddled with some sound generation-
Tried a few of the presets-
Tested the delay section, trying to get it to feed back-
Used the synths first preset sequence, while manipulating the sound-
Created a quick sound I was happy with-

All in all, save a few little nitpicks I had, this synth sounds awesome for the price and Its definitely worth checking out. Subscribe and stay tuned for more!
Thanks for watching."

STUDIO ELECTRONICS CODE 4 // 4 BY FOUR // OMEGA // ELEKTRON ANALOG FOUR

LESINDES
Published on Aug 4, 2017

"STUDIO ELECTRONICS CODE 4 playing all the melody tracks. Main track (the that is tweaked in the video) is sequenced by ARTURIA BEATSTEP PRO. The sound of this sequence has its charming character from the FM modulation of the OBERHEIM style 12 dB LoPass filter which is somewhere between fretless bass and a tenor brass instrument!
All tracks are un-EQ-ed and I was using some onboard FX for the ELEKTRON ANALOG FOUR drum sounds. But for the SE CODE 4 tracks I was not using any FX at all!!!"

"Testing out my latest studio additions with a quick trance jam..
The Elektron Digitakt is doing the beat and midi sequencing the Access Virus TI2 desktop synthesizer and what better way to check out the Virus in a genre it is well known for, right?

Had lots of freezes with the Digitakt while making this (firmware 1.04) so I hope Elektron will quickly fix the midi side of things.. Other than that it's a great machine to do quick jams with which I enjoy a lot!"

Percussa Super Signal Processor (SSP) Now on Kickstarter

Percussa's Super Signal Processor (SSP) eurorack module is now on Kickstarter here. If you haven't been following progress on the module, be sure to see the Percussa label for previous posts including demos with the prototype. The label does bring up everything featuring Percussa in reverse chronological order, so just scroll down to find them.

The following is the official press release:

"(August 4th, 2017, Los Angeles, CA) Today at 8am los angeles time our kickstarter project, the Percussa Super Signal Processor (SSP) Eurorack module, is going live.

It's the result of interaction with the eurorack community since we launced the Percussa Engine and Synthor System 8 at the Winter NAMM 2017 show in Anaheim, CA.

The SSP is very similar to the Percussa Engine, the synthesis platform we showed at the NAMM show, but comes with additional input and output connectors, featuring eurorack-compatible voltages, and will fit in a 60HP wide space in a eurorack system.

Among features of the SSP that are important to note, are a quad core ARM Cortex A17 processor @ 1.8GHz, one of the fastest ARM processors available, offering over 20,000 DMIPS of computing power (typical eurorack modules use cortex M4 or M7 processors which stay under 500 DMIPS), and high end ADC and DAC chips by AKM, supporting sample rates up to 192kHz and 32-bit resolution.

The SSP will feature 8 outputs and 16 inputs, and will support running multiple software DSP modules in parallel on multiple cores. The SSP comes with the same features of the Percussa Engine, featuring its rule-based patching system, preset storage and recall, and DSP modules such as:

Wavetable Oscillator with true 3D morphing (XYZ) and cloud features
Sampler with Layering features
LFO with multiple waveforms (sine, saw, square, triangle)
Variable Frequency Noise
DC generator
Enveloped Generator with Exponential A and DR
Waveshaper
Comb Filter
State Variable Filter
Step Sequencer
Important to note is that the Percussa SSP will support loading your own software DSP modules, which can be programmed in the C++ language. The SSP comes with the same wide-screen IPS display of 1600x480 pixels as the Percussa Engine and will feature an optimized user interface and workflow for eurorack users. The buttons and encoders will be located around the display for increased usability.

In terms of connectivity, the SSP will offer USB host and device ports for connecting a laptop for direct digital audio recording, or a USB MIDI class device for controlling the SSP. Storage wise the SSP will run of a microSD card, and a 16GB professional grade card is included in the main kickstarter pledges for the product. The SSP comes with 2GB of internal RAM which is especially useful for loading large WAV files.

One of the interesting features of the SSP is that it offers the same sampling features as the Percussa Engine, allowing you to record audio direct to SD card as WAV files, and then immediately use those WAV files as wavetables for the wavetable oscillator and sampler modules, without having to load them into software on a computer first. Everything can be done directly on the eurorack module.

In terms of pledges, the kickstarter offers normal production units, special pledges for early birds, customization options and special low serial number editions, as well as an interesting Godfather and Godmother pledge (only one of each), wich allows you to donate 5 Percussa SSP modules to 5 schools of your choice, giving students access to this powerful eurorack module.

More information about the Percussa SSP can be found here https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/percussa/percussa-super-signal-processor-eurorack-module"

Euclidean Circles Trigger Sequencer Eurorack Drum Pattern

Perfect Circuit Audio
Published on Aug 4, 2017

Update: video is back.

"For this patch, we used the Euclidean Circles module as the main trigger brain for a handful of percussive sounds. The Basimilus Iteritas Alter, Akemie's Taiko, and Braids are the main drum sounds, with the Sapel - Rampage making a noisy hihat, and Maths a weird laser drum sound. The final mix is then fed into the Chronoblob for some synchronized delay, and then into the Springray for some reverb. The whole patch is being clocked by a QCD, with a trigger being sent to the Euclidean Circles module, the Sync input on the Chronoblob, and the Clock input on the Voltage Block. The sequences from the voltage block are used to modulate various aspects of the drums, i.e. the decay of the rampage, the timbres of the Basimilus and Akemie's."

ARP ODYSSEY 2800 MK1 White-face SN 28887 w/ Mono & CMS Mods

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

ARP ODYSSEYs are stuck in duophonic mode where if you play more than one note at a time, the oscillators will play two separate notes (one oscillator per note). The mono mod forces the Odyssey to not do that, so you are sure to have both oscillators always assigned to one note. This is useful when playing legato. See this post regarding the CMS mods.

"Superb example of an original white-face Arp Odyssey in excellent working order. Serviced and calibrated by a top synth tech; these old synths require a great deal of specialist TLC to get them up to scratch. This one plays very well and sounds stunning.

Now reissued by Korg, this is a chance to buy an iconic original in excellent order. Effectively a hard-wired compact version of the monster Arp 2800, the Odyssey is revered for its signature sweeps, leads and bass sounds - like an albino time machine, it transports you back to the golden age of analogue synthesis.

Condition is excellent with only a few scratches and scuffs to the case, most of which are on the back of the unit. See detailed photos for more information.

NOTE: This one's had a very cool modification - you can switch between the (original) duophonic mode, to monophonic, plus it has CV and Gate inputs which are tested and working.

It has had an extensive service with new bushings installed, key contacts and sliders/switches cleaned. The synth has been re-calibrated and is sounding superb."

"Overall, the synth is in excellent working condition. The front panel is very clean with only small blemishes. The top and rear panels have some minor marking and blemishes. The sides are also clean with only minor marks.

All knobs, buttons and sockets are present, original and function correctly.

The unit was tested today and the synth is working as it should be: 100% functional and the tuning is solid."

TIPTOP AUDIO HAPPY ENDING KIT TO SKIFF CONVERSION

TIPTOP AUDIO HAPPY ENDING KIT TO SKIFF CONVERSION from Station 252 on Vimeo.

"In December 2010 Tiptop Audio released Happy Ending Kit that made affordable all in one (power module, rails, rack ears and PSU) entry into eurorack a reality. Those of us who lived way outside the eurorack supply center like Berlin ordering a case was very expensive. I already had a Modular World case, but anything else was not an option and by the time I wanted to expand MW went out of business. So for me HEK was a blessing. Later on I bought two extra uZeus power modules as I wanted to try and build my own case but installing bus boards and sourcing power supplies wasn't something I wanted to do. So again uZeus and Z Rails were an easy and a very affordable solution. As it turned out I didn't need the third uZeus as one was enough to power my 6U DIY case. At some point I had the possibility to get the big second hand Doepfer Monster case from SchneidersLaden that a friend brought on a plane (100 euros overweight). At that point I sold my HEK, rails and the two uZeuses.

"All sounds are being generated by the two Transients, and in some cases further processed by the Echophon, Morphagene, or Clouds.

I recently put together this smaller eurorack system for a couple Transients, and included quite a few of the newer modules to see how they all get along. The Malekko Voltage Block and Varigate8+ are an excellent match for triggering and sending CV's to the Transients. The MakeNoise Echophon and Morphagene provide some cool granular effects, delays, and pitch shifting, and the Clouds is used to add some reverb and ambience at times. Very happy with this setup, and I've only began to scratch the surface of possibilities."
