"Korg PE-2000 Analog Synthesizer (alsoknown as the Ensemble S) in good condition...

There seems to be a little bit of a crackle and volume loss when you select Brass 1 and Chorus 1. I'm positive that this is due to some switches/pots that are dirty. . See the video above to see exactly what I'm talking about.."

Yamaha TX81z - Take On Me (Instrumenta)

Published on Sep 9, 2018 tiergrinder

"Yamaha TX81z Demosong : A-Ha Take On Me (TX81z Instrumental)

Here's is a demo song that I did using just Yamaha TX81z. All synth sounds on this song are made using TX81z's preset sounds.

Drums sounds are from Alesis HR-16 samples. I know that the original used Linndrum but the HR-16 matched better with the TX81z sound :)

This is not ment to be as a overly produced and to the teeth matching deconstruction, more as an TX81z sound demo."

Matrixbrute/Gaelic Song (Short Demo)

Published on Sep 9, 2018 Kris Lennox

"Very short demo of synth + Gaelic song. The keen ear will recognise the high synth part as a reference to the opening string line from Mendelssohn's "Fingal's Cave". Being Sottish-themed, I had to add it :) Different rhythm, of course, but the idea is there.

Vocals are the final track from Julie Fowlis' 'Cuilidh' album. I transposed up to the key of G#m, and added slight autotune. The included vocals are only a small part of the track, but they suffice for demo purposes.

I think an album of this kind of material could be very interesting. The stylistic crossover certainly widens potential market.

But in terms of illustrative material: after this vid I'm moving on to something different, as I don't want to exhaust the concept.

All best
Kris"

Roughly speaking:

Seaboard playing DPO into MMG via FH-1

and Spitfire Tundra and a frippertronics style loop from the Push

The whole thing recorded from Ableton out using Audio Hijack! (was easier than trying to make sure it all recorded into a session)"

The circuit is 100% true to the original, uses the same schematic and the original NOS components. This is as close as you can get to a real 909 without spending that much. The only thing you'll need to buy to use it is a AC/AC 15v 1A PSU. Pay attention: AC/AC and NOT AC/DC. This is VERY IMPORTANT."

The synth has some scuffs, scratches, and dings. Some of the keys have become discolored with age. Please see photos. Previous owner was a smoker, so this does have a smoke scent to it. It is overall in sturdy, solid physical condition. Feels great in use."

039//In Another Life - Eurorack, Moog Mother 32, Eventide Space beautiful self-generating track

Published on Sep 9, 2018 Alastair Wilson

"A melodic semi-self-generating patch using a small Eurorack setup sent through an Eventide Space shimmer reverb and an Eventide Timefactor on tape echo setting.

Sometimes it's nice to create something that isn't technically impressive, or a demo of a technique. Sometimes it's nice to make something musical and emotional for musicality's sake. So here is 039//In Another Life - enjoy.

PATCH NOTES:
The main idea of this patch is that it morphs from a melodic pluck line into a rich, searing bass. The plucks come from the higher M32, using a filtered square wave with random modulation on the pulse width and filter resonance. This is mixed with a higher note from the Minimod VCO, with the mix randomly modulated too. Finally, the tempo is sometimes randomly modulated (the modulation amount is controlled by the DH-ADSR via Veils).
The bass comes from the lower M32, which is clocked randomly by the higher. It is mixed with the Minimod VCO high note, the pitch of which is changed by the lower M32's gate.
A Maths LFO with the Rise time randomly modulated supplies the plucked envelope for the white noise that starts being heard in the background when the bass begins to take over.
The main star of the show is a Maths LFO with a slow rise time and a fast fall - this morphs between the 2 M32s. As it rises, the pluck's filter cutoff decreases, the bass' filter cutoff increases, and the white noise pluck's volume and LFO speed increase. When the LFO resets it also resets both M32 sequences.

If you want to recreate this patch, you can find it here:
