You might recall the Matrix-6G Plug-In Editor for Reaper back in 2015. It's now available as a VST3.

"Matrix-6G VST3 is now available! It’s an editor and librarian plugin designed to work with Oberheim’s Matrix-6R rack-mount synth module from the mid-1980s.

The highlights:

Edit patches, matrix mod settings, splits, and master settings on the hardware from within your DAW.
Patch parameters are exposed to the plugin host and can be automated and/or controlled via external devices.
Several hundred patch presets are included, plus there are two storage banks where custom patches can be saved.
Helpful tooltip windows appear when you hover the mouse over parameter controls for a few moments. You can change the amount of time before the tips appear or turn them off entirely.
Compatibility: Reaper (version 6 and up) and Cubase (version 10 and up). Windows only. The plugin may work to some extent with the Matrix-1000 module or the Matrix-6 keyboard model, but I have no way to test this. The plugin is most likely not compatible with any third-party modification of the Matrix-6R’s firmware.

Matrix-6G VST3 version 1.0.0 is now available for free download.

It is also completely open-source, and there’s information about getting the source code on my website as well.

I’ve put up a video demonstrating how to set up tracks for using Matrix-6G in Reaper and Cubase: [1st video above]

As a use-test of the plugin, I did a cover of “Vitamin C” by Edgar Froese using only sounds from the Matrix-6R treated with assorted effects boxes and plugins. Colossus is not a Synthi 100 clone - all circuits are non-EMS, Analogue Solutions’ design.

The original Synthi was so large it wouldn’t fit through a standard doorway. We didn’t make that mistake but don’t underestimate its size. It will be prominent in your studio, or art gallery!

It is sized at 1585mm wide, 700mm deep and 655mm high and weighing in too big to fit on the scales. It’s not entirely practical, but to be impressive physically and in sound. It will be an awesome centrepiece for your studio.

"The Ensoniq Halo keyboard was introduced in 2002. It was basically an E-mu product (a sister to the the E-mu PK-6 keyboard). This demo shows a custom sequence (pattern/arppegio) played with a special technique in which the right hand is played sparsely and sometimes with polyrhythms to create a melody line. The Halo was the last product released by Ensoniq. It used the same samples that were in the ZR-76 in a "less industrial" package, at a much lower price point."

"The teisco s-100p is a monophonic synthesizer not unlike the Roland sh1000 and the Yamaha sy-1. Although you have a little bit less control over the sound than with its competitors the s-100p makes up for it with its unique flanger and built-in spring reverb. Its a blast to play with and has a ton of character. It has 32 presets, a brilliance fader (lowpass), pitchbend, portamento/glissando, modspeed and Arps famous aftertouch sensors. • Through-zero frequency modulation

I explore quite a few techniques in this patch. The foundation is a minor chord progression built around a diad patched in stereo (root left and 3rd right).
I wanted to use similar timbres for the voices producing root and 3rd. The root comes from the wavefolder output of a Neóni which is modulated by a rhythmic LFO.
The 3rd is a TZFM pair pitched from the Tš-L modulating a second Neóni. The index ratio is modulated by a second rhythmic LFO.

Self patching an øchd produces the rhythmic LFO signals that become the natual tempo and feel of the patch. I play the progression manually from the Harmonàig as the rhythms are not rigidly locked.

The 5th output of the Harmonàig controls a Tòna from which the square wave output is combined with the root Neóni's squarewave via the XOR comparator on the eãs.
XOR processing of square waves is mathematically the same as ring-modulation/4-quadrant multiplication of the two square wave signals.
Sidebands are produced resulting in a richer more complex tone. As the chord voicings mostly form a perfect 5th interval between root and 5th, the resulting signal remains tonally stable. Slight detuning of the 5th allowing for beating to broaden the timbre.

I low-pass filter this new voice and share it equally between left and right to form a common mono signal for the patch.

The gate from the Harmonàig triggers an ADSR from the Cèis. TRIG mode is engaged to force completion of the attack phase.
This envelope modulates two aspects of the same signal.
The top voice of a Cš-L acts as an LFO. This LFO frequency is controlled by the envelope while the signal's depth is simultaniously controlled by the same envelope.
The processed LFO controls the cutoff frequency of the I-ō47 which is low-pass filtering the XOR signal.
When a note is played on the Harmonàig the filter cutoff will "wobble" with a dynamic rate and depth."
