SOR Waldorf Microwave Presets | Unique patches for Techno and Melodic House production
video upload by SoundsOfRevolution
https://www.sounds-of-revolution.com/...
"SOR Waldorf Microwave Presets offers 131 patches (67 programs and 64 multis/splits) for Waldorf Microwave 1. You get evolving ambient textures, organic pads, classic house stabs, hard-pumping basses, unique effects, glassy, cold, powerful leads, and many wonderful analog-sounding patches. The presets are modern and retro and go well with every genre of electronic music. You can modify most sounds via Aftertouch, Bender, and/or Modulation.
As this unusual Synth never fails to impress with its distinct sound, I have added the Microwave 1 plugin to my SOR-Blog under 'Best Synth VST Plugins'. I really enjoy these slightly gritty, broken wavetable tones and the powerful filter, which sounds truly unique. It’s simply a fantastic recreation of a classic!
The download of ‘SOR Waldorf Microwave Presets’ includes the original synth patches (MIDI File dump) I produced for the classic hardware synthesizer (128 patches), as well as a revised and perfected new version for the Plugin (131 patches). 24 MIDI files are also included for musical inspiration and context; you can hear them in the demo.
Please note: Since the Microwave has no internal effects, a few standard effect plugins were used for the demo. All sounds, except the drums, are from the Microwave 1 plugin.
Requirements: Waldorf Microwave 1 Plugin or Waldorf Microwave 1 Hardware Synthesizer"

Korg multi/poly Analog Modeling Synth: First Look!

"The latest Korg R&D synth—the Korg multi/poly—just dropped outta nowhere, and I was lucky enough to snag one in stock (thanks, Zzounds!). Let's take a look and listen to this super-interesting, super-fun, badass monster synth. In this video, I'm mostly talking about what's new and different vis-a-vis Korg wavetate and modwave. We'll surely be doing more videos about this thing in the future. And, OF COURSE, you can use KRC Mathwaves with it, 'cuz wavetables. minimalism for modular #4: sample + hold + phase

X1L3 - AY300 / YM300 - Sanxion demo - Eurorack modules
video upload by X1L3
"A valiant attempt from the humble AY3-8910 and YM2149 at pulling off part of the Sanxion loader music from the Commodore 64. Written in 1984 by Rob Hubbard for the SID chip.
Quick demo of a couple of new modules built around the relics that are the AY and YM. With support from some real SID drums to drive it. It's not a bad attempt.
Two three voice stacks. No vca/vcf support modules.
AY does the bass and additional noise percussion.
YM runs the melody and hops over to the bass line to follow the AY and prevent it from droning when it would be technically idle if i had a vca in line..
The internal modulators can be used to generate a kind of 'SID voice', but in this limited hook up they're not used here.
Will probably revisit it when my rig is free and i can be bothered to figure out all the bendy bits of the lush melodic part about a third of the way into the original 🙂🕹📺🔥"

via this listing
"MOOG Prodigy MK2 MKII recently serviced by a specialized technician.
As you can see from the photo, it is an MK2 because it has an S-Trig input for remote control (also via midi with an adapter).
The Moog Prodigy is a monophonic analog synthesizer produced between 1979 and 1984, known for its simplicity, accessibility and characteristic warm and powerful sound. It is equipped with two oscillators that generate square and sawtooth waves, a resonant low-pass filter and a modulation section that allows you to create dynamic and rich sounds.
Despite being a relatively simple synthesizer compared to more complex Moog models, the Prodigy has a versatile sound range, used in genres such as rock, synth-pop and electronic music. Its ease of use and distinctive sound have made the Moog Prodigy a beloved instrument for many musicians and producers over the years, also making it a highly sought-after collector's item today."

"For sale is a Yamaha CS-80 that has been professionally refurbished by Borish Electronics. All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced. Most CMOS ICs have been replaced. It has been expertly calibrated. All of this totals literally 100 hours of work. It sound amazing. The sale includes the legs, lid, music stand, and leg bag. The legs are missing a lock knob, but I might be able to find a replacement. Currently, I'm using a zip tie to lock the legs and it works just fine. The legs and leg bag alone sell for $2000.
The legs have significant pitting in some places. There is tape residue on the left hand panel. There are some scratches on the top grill and some sort of drink spill that damaged the paint to the right of the ribbon controller."

Module description, Google translated:
Background
The 84th work of my own modular synth.
There are many suspicious circuit modules on sale on Aliexpress whose purpose is unknown.
Depending on your idea, you can easily create original modules at low cost.
This time, I planned to create a Pitch Shifter using such a suspicious and attractive Chinese module.
Pitch shifter
A pitch shifter is a type of effect that raises or lowers the frequency of the input sound. By layering 5th or octave sounds, you can create a thick sound.
There are also several Pitch shifter modules on the market for modular synths.
Specifications of the work
Eurorack standard 3U 8HP size
Power supply: 50mA (+12V), 10mA (-12V)
Pitch shifter module using BP1032 DSP IC manufactured by Mountain View Silicon, a Chinese semiconductor manufacturer.
The amount of pitch shift is fixed. In my case, I use it at a perfect fifth (5th).
DRY POT: Adjusts the DRY volume
WET POT: Adjusts the WET volume
INPUT LEVEL: Adjusts the input signal. Adjusts the input level to accommodate ±5V of modular synth sound and general line level.
OUTPUT LEVEL: Adjusts the output volume
Signal IN: Audio input
L Out: Left output. Not used with Pitch shift, but valid when the Reverb effect is selected.
R Out: Right output. Not used with Pitch shift, but valid when the Reverb effect is selected.
The biggest drawback of this module is that it does not have an interface for the applied effects or effect parameters on the front panel.
You can adjust the effects and parameters by connecting it to a PC via USB C.
In addition to being a pitch shifter, it can also be used as a reverb or delay depending on the settings.
ACPWorkbench
To switch effects, use PC software called ACPWorkbench.
This software is made in China and is of questionable origin, so use at your own risk. My PC's antivirus software did not detect any viruses, but I don't know if it's safe.

"I rearranged the studio and am testing different things with diverse machines around the 2500 and a simple sequence. There's IMO a promising potential, but it would require way more time to invest, than the one hour I spend on a session to make a serious track. I usually concentrate on one modular system, cause it's more direct, plug'n'play fun, perfect for short 30 minutes sessions in the studio. But I've been thinking for a long time about having again the drum machines in the game, also some rack synths I like. Means connecting again MIDI and so on. I hesitated a lot, cause the last thing I want to do is spend time on programming! But I have to admit that I'm easely bored with the repetitive 16 steps sequences on the modulars (or 32 or 64). Time will tell if it was a good idea to take out the Buchla system to make space for the beat machines & effects corner.
The first synth we hear (4 bass notes repeating) is a Oberheim Matrix 1000. Then comes the Ace Tone FR-2 drum machine. Then the 2500. And after the Waldorf Q (fast sequence, staccato)."

"I made different patches in the same sessions, also checking how the 2500 filter does sound with diverse waveforms.
In retrospect I think a simple beat on top wouldn't have spoiled anything, at the contrary."
