At least that’s what @djrbrunstein thinks and we’re inclined to agree 😎
He’s a wizard on the #digitakt and totally gets inside the machine with PlayFader, creating a fully expressive and powerful junglist-massive playground for live performance.

Now we can’t help but get excited about what this could do with other Elektron devices, especially an #octatrack!!! Any octatrack or Elektron users out there want to show us what they can do with a PlayFader? We’d love to hear from you ✌️

Patch notes:
Playfader controls the first channel of Digitakt in slice mode, with an amen loaded. Moving the fader enables us to play different slices of the break, and the second channel plays an 808 kick as a bassline, the fader controlling the pitch. A different bassline, and different break pattern are recorded into each buffer and we can switch between them. Finally, we mute the right channel and play a different sample on the digitakt to end.

The next video instalment of this series will show you what you can do in this scenario when you start using the FUN FX like Roll & Random! This is when things get really dynamic and powerful 🤘"

Rare Triadex Muse Digital Synthesizer with Matching External Speaker

"The Triadex Muse is an early sequencer-based digital synthesizer designed by Edward Fredkin and Marvin Minsky at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1969 and produced in 1972. There were only 300 or so made and hence are very rare. Included with this Muse is the optional External Amplifier/Speaker accessory which is even harder to find.

Condition: The Muse and external speaker were tested - see the video. The basic functions on the Muse work fine. The volume on the External Amplifer works fine as well. Due to my lack of knowledge on how to do so, I did not test the EXT PRE, EXT IN and OUT, nor the KEYBOARD switch on the Muse back. Obviously the EXT SPKR input works fine. On the front, I didn't test the REST and EXTERNAL switch positions.

This Muse was stored in Grandpa Ed's crawl space for the last 40 years. The brushed aluminum is a bit dirty. I cleaned it with mild soap but didn't want to get too aggressive so I'm leaving the restoration to the next owner. There are scratches but nothing too bad. The wood is in good shape but again, scratches. There's a small tear in the blue speaker grill cloth. The Muse slide switches are stiff, but all are functional. They will need to be cleaned and lubed.

"Here's a classic ARP 2600 / 3620 Keybed + Eventide FL201 Instant Flanger that were just restored by our shop! The FL201 paired up with the ARP 2600 is such a delight! Lots of love went into restoring the Arp 2600/3620 Keybed. The 1601 sequencer is a replica that functions exactly the same as the vintage sequencer!

ARP 2600 restoration details:
-PSU Rebuilt
-Tantalum Capacitors changed
-Every Slide Potentiometer desoldered, disassembled, cleaned and re-greased (this is no small job, there are 55 sliders to rebuild!)
-Rebuilt entire 3620 key-bed including new rubber bushings, alignment of all keys/metal guides, cleaning of all gold contacts
-3620 rebuild of LHC. New Bourns sliders/adapters added for better reliability/functionality.
