"This is a classic Roland Synth from the 1980s. It's the original TB-303 with additional enhancing mods Devil Fish and Quicksilver.

This synth is in near-mint condition. It's probably the cleanest unit for sale you will find everywhere. It's in top shape for a 40-year-old piece.

This TB-303 fits the very desirable Devil Fish mod and Quicksilver mods (USB cable in the battery compartment). It was recently inspected and tested by Retro Gear Shop in Nashville, where they went over all functions and mods, and checked for any potential issues. It came back with a clean bill of health. I am attaching a Google Drive video with them operating it."

"Welcome to another non - Bad Gear episode. I built ReBirth for real and this happened. Propellerhead Rebirth RB-338, the iconic 90s music production software and virtual groovebox was my first electronic musical instrument. Since then I had the dream of reconstructing the classic setup consisting of a Roland TR-808, a Roland TR-909, two Roland TB-303 and specific set of effects. Can we recreate the software workflow, are the famous vintage instruments as great as anybody is telling you and is all this worth the hassle?

"Freshly serviced by professionals (us) and in perfect working order, unlike most. The tact switches on these often go bad and cause the keys to retrigger, making it frustrating if not possible to accurately enter new patterns. We paid our tech to replace all these switches so they would work right the first time. He also cleaned and lubed all pots and resoldered jacks and pots. This is stuff we typically do to our 303s that most other sellers don't bother doing. This unit's been fully tested and is working perfectly. "On the original track, a Roland CR8000, TB-303, JX3P and MC202 were used. Unlike my previous recreation of Into the groove by Madonna, this one doesn't feel quite so accurate, and I blame all of that on the 'Celeste' and 'Xylophone'; I cannot figure out how they were done on the original. Even so, I'm still really happy with the results.

Instruments used:
Sequential Circuits #prophet5 : Filter sweeps, 7ths, Strings, Brass

#CasioCZ1 : 'Guitar' chords

#Behringer #deepmind12 : Bell, Celeste (sequences), Xylophone (sequenced)

Behringer #rd8 : Drums (programmed entirely using the internal pattern and song sequencer)

LinnDrum: Congas (sadly not using my real LinnDrum since it appears to be two different conga ROMs in the original song, or maybe they were using a sampler in the original?)

#Roland #tb03 and Behringer #arpodyssey : Bass. Sequenced entire on the TB-03 internal sequencer (IMO it's really not that hard to use a 303 sequencer), which was synced to via MIDI to the DAW, but also output said sequence to the Odyssey.

The effects are period correct, using tape-style delays, a simulation of the AMS RMX16 for reverb, some stereo CLA76s and tape simulators for that final touch."

"If you listen to techno, you listen to the Roland TB-303. It's the sound of acid, and is such a unique sound that everybody wants and uses it.

Although several makers are selling clones in the original 303 design (with the sequencer and original layout), you may just want to get one in Eurorack without all the fuss of learning the 303 sequencer interface (it's not intuitive).

Here are a bunch of 303 modules that either include all the parts (VCF, VCA, envelope, accent, glide...the works) or just one part (the VCF, which is the most critical bit).

There are others as well, these are just the ones I happen to have...."
